I am an active Catholic with a passion for God, church, family and work. I am a writer and an English teacher, two things which I am passionate about. I had a first career in journalism (as a newspaper reporter) and I still write newspaper columns; mostly about spirituality. I teach on the high schooI level full-time and I also teach a university English class at nights. I try to attend Mass more than once a week, as well as Adoration once a week, my favorite devotion. I am also active in ACTS. I love reading and learning more about my faith. I keep up with the news and politics and try to be involved in church and community. I aspire to get physically fit (a few extra pounds), and enjoy walking, swimming, camping, reading, movies and being with family. I also make rosaries. I've never been married. I have a grown daughter who is married and I have two beautiful grandchildren. I am looking for someone to get to know as a friend first, and see what happens after that; someone to enjoy going out with and someone to share my faith journey with.

I have an 11 year old son who takes priority over any social activity. After that, I enjoy spending quiet time with a few people over large crowds. I am a community volunteer. I am somewhat old fashioned and would like to find a like minded friend. I am originally from Albuquerque, and have been in Southern NM for almost five years.

As a well preserved baby boomer, there's still SO much of life to live! Life is an adventure. Whether it's a planned or extemporaneous event, joy and rewards await! It matters not whether it's an African safari (which I treasured! and where athletic cheetahs convinced me that swimming and HIIT pay off), a trip to a national park (which I hope there are MANY more of), skiing anywhere (Park City, Jackson?), or a hike (I've yet to descend to the bottom of the Grand Canyon), swim or bike ride nearby, I'm in. Are you scuba certified? I aspire to be. How else will we find Flipper and Nemo? I delight in being with family and friends, anywhere, any time. What's life without a HUGE dose of frivolity and love? I cherish memories from Hawaii vacations, Jersey shore expeditions and skiing the West. But when the chips are down, you want me on your team. I'm in it for the long haul. I'll listen until you can no longer speak, I'll cry with you, I'll cook for you, I'll move heaven and earth to cheer you up! Life isn't worth living without music. I'm equally apt to shake my bootie to Bach or Marvin Gaye, in the car or on a dance floor. The opera, symphony and live performances make my heart sing. The ballet harkens me back to spinning in a tutu on my toe shoes. Exhilaration is everywhere. Like when I drive you blindfolded to 1 of my favorite haunts for fish tacos or mouth-watering elk. Childlike wonder is a gift from God. Where would I be without my faith? It colors everything I do. It's the basis for my integrity. I'll go to bat over a nickel if it's a matter of principle. My faith provides energy when working very difficult cases in my non-profit work. It furnishes the impetus to smile at everyone I encounter. And after church, I'll cook you an omelette that will leave you breathtaken-just so you'll have enough energy to hike with me among the saguaros or redwoods or scoot off to a movie.

I was born and raised in Albuquerque, country girl at heart lol. I am very family oriented and spend most weekends surrounded by family and close friends. We are big on outdoors and camping, hunting and fishing. I love a weekend get away just to clear my head, love drives up to Jemez or Pecos, shoot anywhere will do. I love to cook and have a full house. I love grilling, sitting on the porch or around the bonfire having a beer or few. I enjoy yard work and making my house a home. Do enjoy getting dressed up and going on dinner dates once in a while. Love to feel special. Want someone who puts a smile on my face with just one look. Tired of games and BS. Just want real. Always keep my faith in God and respect my elders.

I am a somewhat quiet person with a gazillion different things that interest me. I can hold my own in stuff that is considered "geek territory," and I still retain the "common sense territory" way of approaching things. I like to cook, read, garden, tinker on cars and motorcycles, and try my hand at many things. I tend to say dorky things, accidentally, that make a lot of people laugh. I respect those I interact with. I use too many commas in my sentences.

I am a convert to the Catholic faith; first converted in my 20s but although I was sincere it was not high on my list of priorities in life. I had a failed marriage and because of that I left the Church for several years. I married again to a Presbyterian man and attended church with him for quite a few years, but through a series of events that I can only attribute as being God's will I was led back to the Catholic faith. It definitely was not due to any plans of my own--a small miracle is how I view it. I love music, play the piano and organ, and I now play the organ at mass and it is a glorious experience. I feel God and the Holy Spirit with me every time I touch my fingers to the keys. I love mostly classical music, but enjoy some other types of music as well. I like attending community and church functions, enjoy movies, enjoy watching Tv, enjoy quite times and conversation with special people in my life; enjoy my family. I love life itself; seeing new places and meeting new people.

I am passionate about my faith, prophecy, history and current events. I read alot, mostly history, and non-fiction. I enjoy literature and have written poetry when I'm glad or sad. My friends describe me as charismatic. I am an RN and feel very close to my patients, esp. those who have life regrets. I don't like gossip. I love to laugh, hike, bike, take long walks and movies and I try to be joyful but sometimes feel alone. I live 100 miles away from my family. I have two sons, eight grandchildren and enjoy special friends with similar values. My husband died in 1974. I remarried in 2000, but sadly, my new husband was strongly attracted to other women. Most influential in my life was my father, an example of patience, kindness, charity, ...a man who reminded me of St Joseph. Fulton J. Sheen (now being canonized) also influenced my life. I live in Northeastern NM in a small stone cabin, am unable to hike alone (cougar/ bear country). I live a simple quiet life and work part time but am planning to move to Albuq, Pecos or Bernalillo NM where I can attend mass everyday and see my friends/family. I am optimistic usually. I feed stray dogs and have a feral kitty who visits me at night. I love people and sunsets. I used to X-C ski and I felt like I was in a postcard (snow falling in the woods).

I own a large home on about 1/2 acre of land. It is completely landscaped so I spend a lot of time taking care of the grounds, which I enjoy very much. I have been an avid woodworker and, over the years, have made all the furniture (altar, ambo, cantor stand, candle sticks, flower stand, etc.) for the church I attend, plus many pieces for my home. I enjoy making and fixing things. I generally take care of the routine maintenance around the home and only call on outside help if the repairs are difficult or time consuming. I have restored a 1941 Oldsmobile 4-door sedan which I enjoy driving. It is usually my "Sunday go to Mass" vehicle. I am a 3rd and 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. I am an officer in both our Council and our Assembly and belong to the Color Corp and Honor Guard.

I am retired, but volunteer to stay active. I was recently hired, part time, at one of the places where I volunteer. I like to stay busy. I spent 21 years in the military, so I have traveled and lived in many places. I have some close friends in Germany that I would like to visit and while there I would like to visit Spain. I love to read, play chess, and work mind puzzles. I would like to meet a lady that is honest.

Hi. I have been divorced 7 years and am ready to give relationships another try. My Catholic faith is very important to me and it would be wonderful to meet a woman with the same religious value. It is so nice having that special someone to go to at the end of the day or to spend time with. Or to know that we can trust each other with our hearts and our intimacy. I am happy doing most anything. I like being spontaneous. I like watching moves and sports at home. My TV tastes sort of run to the non-fiction side. I like 60 Minutes, 20/20, and documentaries. Going to the movies or to the theater I enjoy a lot too. I like being outside hiking and exploring, working out in the yard or around the house. I'm not too big on fishing or camping but occasionally I'm game. I'm pretty good in the house too. I like to cook and grill. I'm not too bad at housecleaning and laundry either. And I always put the seat down. I love doing DIY projects. (Do it yourself.) I like road trips either for the day or for the weekend. Discovering really cool place around the state like ghost towns or old Indian ruins and then eating at roadside hole in the wall cafe's is the best. I have never traveled outside the US except for Mexico and Niagara Falls and so I look forward to the day when I can do that too. Hopefully with that someone special.

Faith and family are very important to me. They are the two pillars that have helped me become who I am today. I appreciate the richness and beauty contained in the 2000 years of Catholic tradition. I am a fan of the Extraordinary Form of the Mass, though I often attend the Novus Ordo at my local parish. I am active with the local Knights of Columbus council, and I help out with the parish youth group, trying to inspire the teens to live lives dedicated to Christ. I am currently a post-doctoral researcher, and I focus on running computations of various physical processes to gain insight into the underlying behavior. I find the work that I do to be very intellectually stimulating and rewarding. In my free time, I enjoy reading primarily good science fiction, but I also try to keep up to date with national news. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends as much as I can.
