I am a single male with no kids (although I like kids and get along with them). I enjoy most outdoor activities, including gardening, golf, fishing (fly fishing and tying), hunting, hiking, motorcycle riding. I like going out to dinner, movies and concerts. I go to Perpetual Adoration twice a week.

The desks are straight (mostly,) the bellwork assignment is on the board, and the attendance page is open on my laptop... I make a goofy face through the window in my classroom's back door before swinging it open to admit the Monday morning flood of cheerful sixth graders. Several of them are bursting to tell me their latest stories as they get settled and hand in their homework. A couple more have questions about the activities I will be directing in Drama Club that week, or about the upcoming basketball game for the elementary team I'm coaching. A few kids will walk with me to church after school, where I teach their catechism class once a week. After a few minutes, I manage to get them all seated, and we begin our day. This is my eleventh year of teaching, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Our Lord's infinite and divine creativity is there to behold in every upturned face and unique personality. And yet... there are too many goodbyes in my field. I love each precious child sent my way, but I can't "keep" any of them! I yearn to be a wife and mother, and I have long prayed for a family of my own. It's a beautiful evening. I've played with my two cats, graded a few papers, planned an improv game for my Drama Club, and stopped by my friends' house to read bedtime stories to their kids. The minutes are very easy to fill, but as night falls and my apartment grows quiet, I wonder if it will always be this way. Then I remember Jeremiah 29:11 ... Perhaps I shouldn't give up hope that there is someone out there who might be excited to merge our journeys of faith and grow in love together, raising children to be holy imitators of Christ. Our tomorrows are in God's hands.

I am particularly passionate about engineering research and education. I have spent many years learning to be a fabricator as well. There is nothing made by human hands that I cannot understand how to build it at some level. I am also fairly athletic. In recent years I have spent significant effort training for half marathons and learning about acrobatics. My search for knowledge and wisdom is insatiable. I am the kind of person whose hobbies turn into peer-reviewed journal papers. My formal training is in mechanical and structural engineering, but my research spans many other fields. I love writing proposals, I love getting people jobs, I love leading teams of professionals and tradesmen, I love teaching the students, I love progress. That is truly my passion. It energizes me. I also move very hot and fast. I do not like slow moving things very much. This is not to say I am not patient. I think I am actually more patient than many people, but when patience is not needed I prefer to move quickly. I hate over thinking things. Usually over thinking leads to no good because there are too many uncertainties in the real world to be able to account for them. I am also not very self-conscious. I am very robust. Most people have jobs, some people have careers, I am on a quest. Although I am not totally sure where it is leading. My most favorite research topic is my work on trying to build new human-computer interfaces that hopefully will one day widen the percentage of the population that is capable of contributing to the data-driven economy, thus reducing income disparity across the community. I am a very ambitious person. I love taking on bigger and bigger challenges. I am also fairly outgoing. I like meeting new people and being social. I do not really care for being alone too much. If I am alone for more than a day it is not a healthy thing for me. I like having people around. I am very optimistic. The ENTJ description fits me very well.

I'm caring, nice, loving, understanding, romantic, faithful. Now comes to what I want in a woman, well for me I don't think beauty really matters but what matters most Is true love and understanding. I love someone who is trustworthy. I love nature; well I believe that is one of those things in life because life is all about ups and downs. I like to meet new people and get to know new things in life and I believe that's what life is all about.
