61, Albuquerque, NMI am not a cradle Catholic. I am a convert that came to the faith through some very interesting means, and am glad to have found my spiritual home in the Catholic faith. I am a single professional working for Lockheed Martin on a contract providing training for Air Force Special Ops/Combat Search & Rescue here in New Mexico. I also am involved with working with a local Christian television station. I have premature white hair and a beard, which people say makes me look like Kenny Rogers or Michael McDonald, but guess that depends on your own perspective. The premature white hair is also the reason for the polar bear pictures as co-workers and friends have thought that my white hair and beard made me look like a polar bear! I like classical music, reading, movies, hiking, and being able to talk with some on a variety of subjects. I am told I am a good listener and am definitely what I like to refer to as an "observer". I have bought 10 acres in the mountains east of Albuquerque, and I hope I will be making it a permanent home in the future. Great place to live with tall Ponderosa pines, oaks, cedars, and pinons. I am a history buff and also an in process of reviving my photography interests which took a back burner to making a living, even though it was my undergrad major. Hope to eventually get another degree in history when time allows.
67, Alamogordo, NMIn process of updating my introduction and information. Will also try to provide a more current picture. I tend to join this site sporadically so not always able to communicate.

61, Las Cruces, NMHello, My name is Raul. I enjoy just simple things in life. I go for walks in the morning or evening around the neighborhood, enjoy tending to my plants and trees outside. I play guitar-or pretend that i do-and practice all kinds of music. Been alone for a long time, now and im ready to start going out and enjoying retirement; "life"
73, Albuquerque, NMI enjoy the outdoors and do a lot of hiking and skiing. I enjoy travel and have recently been in the Holy Lands.for a twelve day pilgrimage. I have been throughout Europe and have lived in Japan for three years. I've traveled or lived in all 50 states. Prior to moving to New Mexico, I lived in Houston for 30 years. The opportunity to participate in outdoor activities year round; and the diverse culture are reasons why I now live in New Mexico. My volunteer activities with the Archdiocese and my parish, St Joseph on the Rio Grande, are an integral part of my life. I would describe myself as old fashioned and a hopeless romantic. Chivalry and treating a lady as a lady is important to me. Dancing, dinning out, and going to the movies are some of the things I enjoy; but rarely indulged in as a single person. I have not worn my tuxedo for the past four years. Now, my idea of dressing up is to wear a bollo and sports coat. My sense of humor is spontaneous, avoiding vulgarity. I am laid back, easy going, and non confrontational. I would like to meet a lady who is physically active, enjoys some of the things I do, looks good in a dress; and who is, or working to become, a practical Catholic.
75, Las Cruces, NMI should tell You I had a stroke and and a brain anurysm in 1979 I have been blessed by God with full recovery. 64, Las Cruces, NMI enjoy my profession in a health-related field and am financially secure. But there is much more to life than just work. I love the great outdoors; hiking, biking and exploring the West. I was born and raised in rural Nebraska, the youngest of three, having two older sisters. Growing up on the farm our parents and extended family (lots cousins, aunts and uncles) instilled values of a solid work ethic, honesty, independence, patience, faith and love. My education consists of 12 years of Catholic school, undergrad & grad at University of Nebraska. I lived 10 years in beautiful Montana with its too long winters and the past 23 years in sunny southern New Mexico.
