38, Amsterdam, NYIf at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Or so the saying goes. Does anyone else feel just the tiniest bit disheartened by this whole process? It's so hard to sell yourself effectively in 2500 characters, especially if you're not a salesman. In reality I am kind, caring, a little of the shy side, yet outgoing with friends. I love reading and going to the movies, although I am no longer interested in the bar scene. Over the past decade, I woke up spiritually and started really living the faith I had been taught. I began really listening to the words we say in mass, and trying to make my responses an active part of the liturgy. Maybe I sound crazy, but God is very important to me and I believe that He has a plan for my life. I can only pray that includes a loving husband and children. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing the occasional short story, and spending time with friends. I will also admit to a certain fondness for pretty much anything on HGTV, and I have been known to get sucked into a marathon on the history channel as well. Overall I'm optimistic about the future, and hope that this time around, I'll find that special someone to be a part of my life. Don't be afraid to message me, even if it's just a friendly hello. Blessings on your search.
32, Watervliet, NYGreetings, I strive to integrate the gospel message into my daily life whether it be in my professional life, time with friends, dancing, or cooking.
59, Ballston Lake, NYI am passionate about what is good in life. I find this easiest to find in the absence of the corporate world, which seems to operate in ways that do not seem at all Christian-like. So, I look forward to those times when I am not in the presence of "business." That has left me great joy while spending time with my dogs, reading faith-based materials, walking and contemplating the meaning of my life while in a beautiful quiet setting, reflecting on my past mistakes, and witnessing God's greatness through my natural surroundings. Honestly, I find it hard to use this site. I really miss the days when you had the opportunity to meet someone in person. I'm afraid that websites miss out on a lot of the best of what someone has to offer. If we think about the people we've dated in the past, I'm sure that most of us would have rejected them based on our exposure to them through a website. The best looking person I ever dated was a total moron. The least good looking was the one whose personality I was most attracted to. We can't help but make an initial judgment based on someone's picture. And I've always thought that our best relationships would probably come later in life when we re-connect with someone who knew us when we were growing up. They can recognize the person we really are, before life tarnished us! I think that they can probably pull out the good that they know is there because they've seen it. There's a real bond in growing up with someone. But, sadly, many of us, myself included, the fellas I grew up with are spread out all over the country, and I left home, too. I know that people talk about enjoying the simpler things in life, but I really do. I'm basically a homebody. Oh, don't get me wrong, I want to travel; I want to see Italy, Peru (the hidden temples call me!), Egypt, Israel (I guess that will never happen because of the never-ending conflicts). But, I love the southwest -- the desolate parts! And I want to visit Hawaii again. It was paradise on Earth. If the world weren't such an expensive place to live in, I would love to just be able to take care of someone. I suppose that's why I have 6 dogs -- I enjoy taking care of them and watching them thrive. They're not judgmental. They're always supportive. They ask for so little, yet give so much. Their innocence is everything to me. I'm quiet, yet like to debate important issues. But, I'm non-confrontational and never want to be with someone who criticizes pointlessly or expects perfection.
28, Amsterdam, NYHi, I'm Peter. Would it be better to tailor a profile description that slips behind Catholic Match's radar? We could find out exactly what we need to know if we both follow suit. Who should message whom first? Allow me to introduce myself.. after you. ..Long story short, I am a recreational mathematician.

72, Sharon Springs, NYI have been a widow since 1999, and my faith and family are most important in my life. Am active in my church, am a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Padre Pio Prayer Group. I enjoy many things including music, needlepoint, cooking, reading and bowling. Used to enjoy walking a lot, but am limited now to about 1/2 jaunts. My children are adults with families of their own and most of the grandchildren are out of school and making a living. I have one beautiful and sassy great granddaughter. I am what they used to call a homebody and love company and being invited to friends' homes. I have seen or been part of 6 miracles during my life and believe that God leads me where he wants me to go. If you are not a practicing Catholic or curse daily or drink daily, we will not mesh. Let me know something about yourself and we will go from there. Friendships are wonderful!

58, Saratoga Springs, NYI'm crazy about Winter! Love snow... when we get it. :-) While I grew up in the Adirondacks, I've spent most of the last 23 years in Tennessee, but have moved back to the area to be close to my sister, niece and her growing family. In that 23 years, I also spent a few in the Colorado Rockies, thus adding to my love of cold and deep powder snow. White stuff I love it! I recently started running, both for exercise and to spend more time outdoors. While I've been slacking recently, I am planning on starting again. It would be nice to have someone to run with... or toward. While my skills tend to the technical, I also have a creative side. I've slowly been trying to get back to doing more photography. Generally, of the outdoors environment I love. Work has kept me distracted from some of these interests, but with the right muse, I could be inspired!
