34, Rochester, NYI love science a lot, this started back when I was middle school. I'm currently doing a graduate study with a full scholarship. I always want to be a lecturer, but I keep my options open. Once thought about medical school cause then I can help people, but I guess it's not my destiny time-wise and resources-wise, also well ... personality-wise. I believe that it takes more than just scientific literacy to treat patients, so .... I'm still working hard for my first and ultimate dream of becoming a lecturer, sharing the knowledge to people. My experiences that has left memorable marks on myself are the recent occurrences, starting from the scholarship that I consider to be a blessing and a turn-around of my life in academic settings. I'm still fragile human as everybody else, yet I can start to see or to feel why things happened the way they had been (blessing in disguise ...). I'll explain more on this. It's a really long story. People that has been most influential in my life is my former prof. which gave me the recommendation letter such that I have the life I live right now. I love basketball and soccer for exercises. Thus, I'll be in the basketball court in the evening or in the weekend either playing pick-up games or doing a shoot-around by myself. I'm a shooter type, making those threes from down town. I also play soccer (usually an indoor soccer). I love listening to music. I have a pretty broad spectrum from Christian music to pop music. I like "Life is beautiful" by The Afters and "Carry me to The Cross" by Kutless. I love The Piano Guys, The Corrs, etc. Strictly speaking, I have a mixed genetics of Chinese and European. One side of my grandfather is Dutch.
40, Ithaca, NY"I do not understand the mystery of grace - only that it meets us where we are and does not leave us where it found us." -Anne Lamott Isn't it wonderful what catches your attention? This just spoke to me today..I delight in the joy of life's dance. Life's knocks don't keep me down for long as there always is the next dance. I am a confident, assertive, intelligent, positive, thoughtful, fun loving person. I enjoy being active, yet also enjoy sprawling down on the grass and falling asleep with the summer sun warming me. I am passionate about dance. Interested, but do not have a clue? No worries. In minutes I will have you having fun on the dance floor. I think it is important to share one's God given talents, and I do it whenever and wherever I can with dance. For instance, just this past week I went to an Intergenerational Prom at Ithaca College where I enjoyed conversation over dinner with the elders of the community, and dancing with them afterwards. One lady got really excited to do the jitterbug after many many years, and that she was able to pick it up easily and get in the groove so well. To be able to share that joy was a blessing. I enjoy keeping active and making the most of life. Tai Chi, strolling through a National Park, a jog, a bbq... Family/friends/community are important to me and I make sure that I keep connected. I am Catholic and I believe in God. Mother Theresa said it well. "Religion is not something that you or I can touch. Religion is the worship of God therefore a matter of conscience." I alone must decide for myself and you for yourself, what we choose. For me, the religion I live and use to worship God is the Catholic religion." This is not all that I have to share, but what is the fun in telling all even before we have met, or even said hi?
