I am interested in finding the one special person with whom I can share the magical retirement years. I have been "Mom" to four wonderful, now adult children; raising them mostly alone. I am proud that they have become independent, educated, successful people whom I consider my best friends. I have two cherished grandsons. I am active and interested in numerous activities. Travel is a passion and I hope to do more now that I have free time. I love live entertainment: plays, concerts, comedy acts. I enjoy movies, both at the theater and at home. I am usually in the middle of a book: novel, biography, historical fiction. Walking is an everday form of exercise, usually accompanied by my small Bichon Frise. I love animals and consider my dog my best buddy. Dining out is fun and I do it often. I do not like to cook. I plant some flowers in the spring, but do not consider myself a true gardener. Unfortunately my green thumb is an unreliable appendage. Whatever grows for me gets loving attention. I like television but tend to be too busy to watch it much. I like news channels, animal network, TCM, documentaries, and Discovery Channel. Musically my taste runs to classic oldies rock, Christian, country, some jazz, musical scores. I love home improvement projects and try to fix most things that break in my home. I recently repaired my garbage disposal. ( Not just pushed the reset button, but actually dislodged the "jammed" parts. Yes, it works now, and I feel very proud.) I now have the time and energy to devote to developing a relationship with that special someone. I hope to meet a man who is secure in himself, who loves God and his family, and who wants to share all that lies ahead with a best friend and soul-mate. I am looking for a relationship with someone who values marriage and commitment, who respects his mate's devotion to her family and who expects the same respect for his. He should value education, both his own past and continual life-long learning, be fulfilled with his chosen career, either currently practicing or retired, and be excited about the future.

I'm a country girl at heart, love animals and have a dog and a cat. I grew up on a farm and worked along side of my dad growing up.I like to square dance and like to listening to most music. Like instrumental when I'm working. Love to travel and enjoy cruises. I have three grown children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. I have a degree in Elementary Education but didn't care for teaching. I went back to college for an Associates in Office Technology after my husband died. I began working for the church in 1983, working my way up from Secretary to Business Manager. I have been a widow since 1986 and have tried online dating before with not much luck and decided to try one more (and last) time. I would like to find someone to be friends with to start, do things with and go from there. I've been alone a long time so kind of set in my ways but willing to give some for the right person.

Widowed June 2009 and with God's help trying to find my way. Remember to love and honor those in your life. Take each opportunity to tell them you love them and care about them, for we don't know when it will be the last time. Thank God for each new day. Remember there is always someone who has less than you and is hurting more. Embrace life. Those are my thoughts on life. Come and be my friend and enjoy each moment of life.

I believe that when one door shuts if we wait on God He will open another. I'm semi-retired and would like to meet someone to explore with me all the possibilities and excitement that this phase of life has to offer. Of course any great relationship starts with a great friendship! I'm an easy-going person who doesn't sweat the small stuff. Faith and family are important to me. I'm a loyal friend and good listener. Although I may be somewhat quiet at first, meeting new people and finding out what makes them tick is fun for me. Some of the things that I enjoy include dancing, biking, going for walks and being outdoors, particularly on or near the water, especially the ocean! A day trip to one of the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York any time of the year always refreshes my spirit. A fun afternoon activity would be biking or walking along the canal path and maybe stopping for a picnic or ice cream along the way. Getting cozy by the fire with a glass of wine on a cold winter night is just right! So is a challenging board game (I like Scrabble) or a foursome for Euchre.

I am the person standing on the left and my sister, who is the mother of the bride is - of course on the right. I might add that camera's and I are not on the best of terms. I have a short close cropped beard, but that is optional. It maybe more fun to attempt to know the other person besides here. I will state that I have traveled very extensively and have experienced many cultures. I like to think that I put others before self and since I was brought up in the European fashion I treat the female like a lady, ie: open doors, allowing her to go first and to walk on the outside. I would rather play sports than watch, which I try to do because I play golf at least once a week and play softball at least 3 times a week, weather permitting and I try to workout in the gym at least 3 times a week. My family - brother and sisters along with my daughter, son -in-law and grandchild are very close. Any thing else will be fodder for some very interesting conversation. retired, kind, caring, enjoy outdoor activities, enjoy most types of music, enjoy museums and history, enjoy wine touring We must start with friendship, good conversationalist and be able to hold your own in a conversation, educated, you do not have to have a PhD to be intelligent and smart, no drugs, values must be in line with a Christian way of thinking. Must enjoy and a sometime participant in sports or similar activities and not be afraid to have the wind in your hair. Some say that I am a romantic and yes I do like the so call chick flicks and some time I do get emotional its not all action pack movies or programs. I would like to feel the tingle when I am touched on the arm or when two hands meet in a caring way. I like sitting on my porch with music in the back ground enjoying some wine and good conversation. If you are spontaneous and say "road trip" my next question would be where and when do we leave and that is a good thing. If you know how to drive a stick that is a plus but if you do not would you like to learn. Think about this? If you were stopped at a light and one of your favorite songs is on the radio and you start singing and dancing in your seat, then you look over to the car next to you and you see people watching you what would do? A man walks into a bar and asked the bartender for a glass of water at which point the bartender pulls out a shotgun and fires it into the air the guy says thanks and puts $10 on the bar and walks out why did he do that?

I love facial hair on a guy as long as it is neat (a head of hair is optional). I enjoy doing most things (as long as it in not fattening or illegal). As you can read I also have a sense of humor. I enjoy taking walks and enjoying nature (weather permitting). I am very active in the Catholic Church music ministry. I love to sing.

I'm a very active person. I have been retired for 3 years. My main interest is my family. However, much of my free time is spent doing volunteer work and spiritual study. My hobbies are numerous. I like playing the piano, reading, square and round dancing, card playing and playing bingo. I also enjoy traveling, movies, and going out to eat. I'm looking for companionship with a man who has some of the same interests as I.

I am loyal, committed to my companion, I enjoy golf and being around friends and loved ones. I am the current caretaker of two cats, not sure who owns who. I believe in the old adage, God, Family, and friends, I enjoy travel, but am not much on owning much in the world of material things, a simple car, cloths and food, are all I need. I am very devoted to my prayer life, devotion to the Blessed Mother and Eucharist Adoration. I love the outdoors, wildlife, animals, I consider myself a gentleman and easily persuaded by my companion to do just about anything as long as it is not illegal, immoral, fattening and I can afford it. I have a fair amount of Irish and Scots blood running in my veins which explains my humorous nature. I laugh a lot but due to my mild ADD I am prone to minor bouts of sticking my foot into my mouth ( just like most men I know). I have two grown children, son and daughter, two grandsons, all who live within 15 minutes of me. I hope this does not offend anyone but I have been married twice. Yes I won the marriage lottery twice, my first bride survived 33 years before passing. My second bride survived 18 years with me. I am sure they are both in heaven because living with me your guaranteed a fast path to heaven. I am sorry for the lack of order here but it explains why the nuns had me do lots of time in the corner. One other thing I can promise you knowing me and being with me will not be boring. I turned my life over to Christ 49 years ago and I can tell you he is a wild and crazy driver everyday is an adventure and I do not regret one day of it.

I love my family and friends. I enjoy the arts, music, and traveling abroad and the US; dining, participating in outdoor activities. I don't consider myself a great athlete, however, I'm "out there" and doing activities and enjoy the four seasons. I am a pretty good downhill skier (Bristol member). In the warm weather, I kayak as often as possible. My joy is camping and traveling -- anywhere where there is water and mountains. (I have a 17' trailer, so I enjoy the comfortable good life while I'm "roughing it" throughout the US.) I've been throughout Europe and the US, and want to do more. I love cities, seeing museums and art galleries and historical treasures. Traveling with "that someone special" would be so wonderful. Although I'm not the greatest golf, I enjoy golfing regularly. I love sailing, fishing, snowshoeing, and hiking. I'm not a great biker, but I do a little. I should let the "cat out of the bag" and confess that I am an avid oil painter.... the "plein air" type who paints landscapes out of doors. This is a large part of my life and enjoyment. Additionally, I a "folkie" musician. Throughout my life, I've played instruments and I play music with friends.
