I am interested in finding the one special person with whom I can share the magical retirement years. I have been "Mom" to four wonderful, now adult children; raising them mostly alone. I am proud that they have become independent, educated, successful people whom I consider my best friends. I have two cherished grandsons. I am active and interested in numerous activities. Travel is a passion and I hope to do more now that I have free time. I love live entertainment: plays, concerts, comedy acts. I enjoy movies, both at the theater and at home. I am usually in the middle of a book: novel, biography, historical fiction. Walking is an everday form of exercise, usually accompanied by my small Bichon Frise. I love animals and consider my dog my best buddy. Dining out is fun and I do it often. I do not like to cook. I plant some flowers in the spring, but do not consider myself a true gardener. Unfortunately my green thumb is an unreliable appendage. Whatever grows for me gets loving attention. I like television but tend to be too busy to watch it much. I like news channels, animal network, TCM, documentaries, and Discovery Channel. Musically my taste runs to classic oldies rock, Christian, country, some jazz, musical scores. I love home improvement projects and try to fix most things that break in my home. I recently repaired my garbage disposal. ( Not just pushed the reset button, but actually dislodged the "jammed" parts. Yes, it works now, and I feel very proud.) I now have the time and energy to devote to developing a relationship with that special someone. I hope to meet a man who is secure in himself, who loves God and his family, and who wants to share all that lies ahead with a best friend and soul-mate. I am looking for a relationship with someone who values marriage and commitment, who respects his mate's devotion to her family and who expects the same respect for his. He should value education, both his own past and continual life-long learning, be fulfilled with his chosen career, either currently practicing or retired, and be excited about the future.

I'm a country girl at heart, love animals and have a dog and a cat. I grew up on a farm and worked along side of my dad growing up.I like to square dance and like to listening to most music. Like instrumental when I'm working. Love to travel and enjoy cruises. I have three grown children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. I have a degree in Elementary Education but didn't care for teaching. I went back to college for an Associates in Office Technology after my husband died. I began working for the church in 1983, working my way up from Secretary to Business Manager. I have been a widow since 1986 and have tried online dating before with not much luck and decided to try one more (and last) time. I would like to find someone to be friends with to start, do things with and go from there. I've been alone a long time so kind of set in my ways but willing to give some for the right person.

I'm a very active person. I have been retired for 3 years. My main interest is my family. However, much of my free time is spent doing volunteer work and spiritual study. My hobbies are numerous. I like playing the piano, reading, square and round dancing, card playing and playing bingo. I also enjoy traveling, movies, and going out to eat. I'm looking for companionship with a man who has some of the same interests as I.

My family - daughters and grandchildren - are always in my thoughts and prayers, but none lives close to me. I talk with my daughters every week and visit when possible. I volunteer at church and at a local comfort care (hospice) home. I attend Mass several times each week. Then I keep active. I play golf about twice each week (through most of the year since I also have a home in Florida). I swim daily when in Florida. Now that I am alone I spent several weeks skiing in the West the past two winters and plan to do so again. I love to travel, alone if necessary, but prefer with a partner. I've traveled to all the continents but Antarctica -- it's on my bucket list. My next planned trip is a Road Scholar program next October in Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by to look at my profile! I'm a Catholic who converted in 2003 from being a lifelong Presbyterian. I've never "looked back." The Catholic Church is fascinating and has been lots of help to me in many ways...the complete focus of the Church on God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and Scripture as the center of everything, weekly Mass, the Eucharist, Confession and Reconciliation, prayer, the structure and consistency and dependability of the Church, the priests and deacons and their care and helpfulness, the community of other Catholics, the depth and richness of the Church and its teachings and history, and more. I also have to be honest and say that I'm not a rigidly, "perfect" Catholic, either. The joy and richness and mystery of the Church is something that I'd like to share with someone. I've been on my own for a long time after a divorce. My son was with me from the time he was 11, and he's now a junior in college. Raising him on my own was one of the great challenges, but also the very greatest joy and accomplishment, in my life. I adjusted to the empty nest syndrome (admittedly, with some difficulty) and now am interested in developing a friendship with someone that would hopefully lead to a relationship. I have a cat and a parrot, both of which are my wonderful companions. Leisure time for me includes coffee; reading; coffee; exploring the beauty of nature around us; walking and hiking; playing golf (or maybe I should call it "attempting to play golf...hahaha!); fishing (same comment as golf..."attempting" to fish); getting to know new people and chatting with them; coffee; working on the older house that I own; hanging out with my cat and my parrot; finding and watching interesting shows and series on Netflix, including history and documentaries; and lots of other things that are better left for conversation over one or more good cups of coffee. Oh...did I mention that I like coffee? I'm a devoted, faithful, committed, communicative, supportive, encouraging person who knows how to compromise and is a good listener in a relationship. I know what the potential of marriage can be, but I also know how awful divorce can be. It's essential for two people to express themselves calmly and patiently, listen to each other calmly and patiently, and find areas of compromise that are mutually beneficial. I'm looking for someone who understands, values, and practices the same qualities and perspectives.

My grandmother was the most influential in my life. She was kind and full of love. She treated everyone with dignity and respect. God was always first in her life. She was a great woman!
