53, Merrick, NYI am an outgoing, generous and very funny person. I like to be active and my hobbies include--but are not limited to--exercise, travel, cooking, entertaining, fine wine, reading, teaching etc. I've worked in various capacities over the years: construction, grants writing and, most of all, firefighting. I even had the opportunity to transcribe and edit a profound historical work. Retired from FDNY, I'm a historian, writer, teacher, problem-solver etc. I strive to implement my gifts in service to others. Recent endeavors--rebuilding a church and cooking in a soup kitchen--have been very rewarding. The times I was able to attend Latin Mass in N.J. a couple of years ago were a special treat. So greatly impacted by the beauty and solemnity, I found a church that celebrates the TLM (Sunday mornings) on Long Island and have attended ever since. Deo gratias! I enjoy many things in life, especially taking care of those close to me. I come from a large family and look forward to finding that special someone with whom I will share my life. How wonderful it will be to have a partner in serving God and His people!

74, Setauket- East Setauket, NYMy wife passed away almost 3 years ago. I lost my ability to drive because of a peripheral vision problem. My forward vision is fine! I moved to a retirement community, Jefferson's Ferry, in South Setauket 2 years ago where I live independently. I would like to get out more for dinner, movies, theater, NYC and traveling. I prefer not to do these things alone! I was an elementary school teacher for 32 years. I currently do a lot of volunteer work in my community mostly assisting those physically less able than me. I am very social, have a pretty good sense of humor and get along with most people I get to meet. Because I dont drive, I try to limit my search for women to within 25 miles. That's convenient for me to get out to local events. Should I find a match, there is absolutely no problem traveling to NYC or beyond! I would like to meet someone with similar interests as well as someone who will talk and listen.

33, Merrick, NYI've been blessed with wonderful people in my life from great friends and mentors to my parents who have been together for 40+ years, and all of them in some way have helped me develop into the guy I am. I've been a musician/entertainer for over 20 years. I've taught music privately, done some public speaking, worked as a barista for a while and as of current I work in a bank, but in the end my passion is helping people unleash their potential. To that end, I have my own website which focuses on giving people the fuel they need every day to accomplish said unleashing, and I have also been very fortunate to be part of a business team that focuses on mentoring and leadership development. When I consider influences, I can't help but think of a trumpeter who freely took a young "cat" under his wing and showed him just what it meant to be world-class. He showed me the work-ethic and thought process of a champion. My old manager showed me what it was to be a servant leader, a person who did not demand the respect and admiration of others but rather earned it through his every word and action. A bandleader showed me the value of loyalty and what it is to pursue a dream despite the odds. I think of my Mom and Dad who continually show me that a marriage is not only a blessing from God but a true fountain of youth here on Earth. My Dad always told me to "make your worst arguments about who gets the last chocolate chip cookie in the box." My mother usually just nodded her head in agreement lest she spit out the cookie she was consuming. Her humor is overshadowed by her quiet, unshakable faith. Most of my life revolves around the consumption of copious amounts of coffee. I read a whole bunch (and yes I have read all of Harry Potter... thrice). I generally listen to jazz and classical music but I play in a modern wedding band... go figure. I also sing in my church choir. With regards to all the creative arts I'm extremely curious and when I plan "day adventures" I tend to go to museums or local shows. I enjoy being outside. Walking and hiking are just fine by me, and one day remind me to tell you about Buddyroestock, or the day I flew on a hot-air balloon, or that crazy trip to Prague. Oh, and "Dodgebee." Most importantly: Each day I purposefully grow in my faith and I do my best to embody it. In my experience I find that life is a beautiful journey made radiant by God's presence, and the best way to make it even better is to share that life with others.
52, Calverton, NYI seek companionship with someone who is quick witted and can speak to just about anything. When communicating using the written word- spelling and punctuation are paramount. There is room for the occasional typo... but if only on occasion. But seriously- I love sarcastic humor that isn't caustic, I love to laugh and love to get outdoors and mingle with people and nature.
58, Holbrook, NYI enjoy making music, going for walks and reading. I like to travel and to see shows and I am happy spending time with family and friends. I'm also very involved with professional organizations and I'm involved with my parish. I enjoy pretty much all that I do including my job.
