Religion and family are very important to me. I would love to find someone who shares the same values on life and family as I have - who enjoys life to the fullest, finding fulfillment in the smallest things and trusting that all one needs is hope, faith and love of God and happiness will be at their doorstep. I tend to be laid back and easy to get along with. I live and work just north of NYC but enjoy going into the City to catch a show, have dinner or go to a mueseum. So, if you have any questions or are interested in getting to know me, feel free to send me an e-mail.

I'm a PhD candidate studying medieval and Renaissance literature at Fordham University, where I'm also Writing Center Director. I'm almost done with the program, so I'm teaching freshman English at the university while working on my dissertation. In my free time, I like to play indie board games, snowboard, and hike.

We won't know if we don't try. Quoting the matchmaker in the movie Crossing Delancey: "Ya look, ya meet, you try, you see. Sometimes it fits, sometimes it doesn't." I am in a good place in my life, in fact, the best is yet to come. I'd like to share it with a partner. Since Catholicism is an integral part of my life, choosing a partner who shares this point of view is essential. I love old movies, the arts and go into the city often for live performances of music and plays. I am a big sewing hobbyist and the city is fabulous for this, too. My workout involves barre classes, yoga and plenty of walking, but I also like golf and most sports.

I am just testing out the water as I move toward legal separation. I have been on my own for over 7 years now and finally feel the need to make the separation official.

I am passionate and grateful for the life God has blessed me with ~ my caring family, wonderful friendships, the gift of a career that I love, the ability to help others, my zest for life which comes from acknowledging God's presence in all things. The most influential people in my life have been my parents who have instilled in me a solid belief in my Catholic faith. In my leisure time I enjoy a variety of activities: socializing with family and friends, hiking, biking, walking, exploring a myriad of culture in New York City, reading, photography, teaching myself to watercolor paint, volunteer work, etc. The list goes on since I am always open to new ways of exploring and enjoying life!

Single, very fit & I belong to a running club. I just completed my second half marathon & beat my PR by 6 minutes; came in at 2:09. Although I work out regularly, I'm not obsessed. I can miss a workout if there is something more important to do ;-) I'm a Physical Therapist. I have two sisters who are married, & four nieces & a nephew. I am very family oriented. I enjoy watching the US Open every year. I love all animals. I love sushi & I'm learning about different wines. I love NYC. I love to bike & kayak in the summer, & enjoy being by the water. In my spare time, I like to draw. I like to try new restaurants, & I enjoy going to the movies regularly. I love nature...

I spend most of my time reading, writing, watching comedies (I love South Park, Woody Allen, Jane Austen adaptions, The Evil Dead franchise, Veep, Trailer Park Boys, you get the point), running, playing any sport, enjoying the outdoors, listening to or playing music, spending time with family and friends. Ask me how many cousins I have, and you'll get a different answer every time. The point is there are a lot of them. I love telling jokes, but I've only got a few. I speak English well, but sarcasm better. I sometimes try to write fiction, and I think it's probably terrible, but I can't stop trying. Seriously, I can't stop. I'm always working on some nonsense. I teach high school (teenagers are seriously not that challenging, my students make me laugh at least ten times a day), and I love introducing students to great literature that challenges how they see the world and themselves. Every year I try to figure out Kafka, and sometimes I think I actually do (if you can explain The Castle to me, I want to talk to you). I enjoy teaching students to debate and write arguments, but great literature is my real passion. Give me some book recommendations, or tell me about a movie I have to watch.
