45, Saratoga Springs, NYI was confirmed Catholic as a teen, but like many, as a young person, didn't always live the most pure and chaste life. It has taken some years and many lessons learned to accept the true nature and understand the "privilege" of our faith. The Lord has blessed me in many ways, and I live my life in awe and gratitude. The first two years in my nursing career have been enlightening to say the least, working with the sick and elderly can be a humbling experience, reminding us to count our blessings every day. In addition to medicine, I hope to someday reach out to the poor as well, as I believe that this is one of our true callings as Catholics.

59, Beacon, NYSirach 6, 14 to 17 ~ A faithful friend is a sturdy shelter, he who finds one finds a treasure. A faithful friend is beyond price, no sum can balance his worth. A faithful friend is a life saving remedy, such as he who fears God finds, for he who fears God behaves accordingly and his friend will be like himself. My best friend and husband died a few years ago. God truly picked him for me and while he was sick, he told me that he wanted me to marry again. At the time I didn't understand but my head and heart have now reached that place. I love our faith and it's one of the things we shared together and that held us through our journeys. It's that important to me. Segueing to other faithful friends, the two dawgies in the picture keep me busy. We enjoy daily walks and the Golden is more fish than dog when he's near water and that gives us some time to play catch or cool off. The Berner acts as Life Guard!
