74, Churchville, NYI believe in living in the present, remembering but not dwelling on the past, and looking forward to the future understanding that the only moment that we are sure of is the one we are living. I am generally a happy person and I love to entertain people with stories(many of them about my own foibles) and I like to make people laugh. Family and friends are very important to me and I enjoy spending time with them. I enjoy many types of people and have often had wonderful conversations with people in airports, hospital lobbies, and social gatherings. I sometimes write short stories about these encounters. I retired three times from teaching biology at a nearby community college, but I may return to do part time tutoring. I lost my husband to cancer seven years ago and although my life is full I miss the companionship of an ongoing relationship. I enjoy people who have a good sense of humor, who are happy with themselves and do not have a temper, who know how to work hard, but can also relax when appropriate. I love most kinds of music especially classical and Celtic, but not rap. I enjoy traveling-- from a few hours to long vacations. I have very much enjoyed several cross- country driving trips with some of my family, and numerous trips to Mexico and several to Great Britain. I love to read and enjoy nature and the outdoors, I have done volunteer work at my church-- recently I taught children in our faith formation program and for several years I coordinated our church dessert both at a country fair. I was very active in many activities when I was younger but two severely arthritic knees and other life circumstances caused a sedentary life style for a number of years and resulted in me becoming" twice the woman" I once was. I have two new knees and I am starting exercising and other life style changes to become more fit. I would enjoy the company of someone with similar interests, starting with coffee and conversation and seeing where things go from there.

I look forward to going to daily Mass; to biking, kayaking, swimming, hiking, cross-country skiing and ice skating; to having my grandchildren over to my house for dinner and a sleepover and to get together with my daughters who live locally and occasional dinners with them and their families, singing with my chorale group.

28, Natural Bridge, NYI grew up Catholic in a small town (population 365). I am currently in the Army Reserves as a first lieutenant but will be probably getting out soon to move down a different career path. I love animals and the outdoors which includes hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, ATV's, farming, landscaping, boating, snowmobiling, and many other things. I also love movies, either going to the theaters or watching them at home. I also love my home area which is the foothills of the Adirondacks. I love to be creative and build things, not necessarily for myself but for others to appreciate. I also love to appreciate other peoples talents. I am currently trying to attempt playing the piano and writing an epic fantasy novel. I want to eventually write biographical fiction about a few of my favorite saints. I am not the greatest writer but I figure if I keep at it I may come up with something that won't bore too many people...lol. I am also in the local Fire/ Ambulance Department where I am learning to become an EMT. I like to tell people that I will be a nurse on wheels.

I am not into clubs or bars, although I like a nice glass of wine here and there and love to dance. Smoking drunks and having drinkers are not for me. If you are interested in me I ask that you please be ready for conversation I'm not just looking for someone to text with. I pray I can meet a great man who is GOD fearing and GOD loving.
