I graduated as an engineer, moved into management. I felt I should be making a more positive impact and retrained as a teacher. After five years work in a challenging inner city school trying to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children, I decided I needed a break. Currently, I am in New Zealand on a working holiday, trying to teach kiwis to count. Check out my blog, I love to travel and have visited Canada and the USA several times. I spent last summer in the Canadian Rockies, Vancouver and Seattle. Also, I enjoy going on Pilgrimage and have travelled to Lourdes, Wallsingham and Rome. The Holy Land and Compostella are still on my to do list. I enjoy movies and going out with my friends. I am considered reliable and trustworthy, and have been the bestman at two of my friends' weddings.

I am of Tongan origin. I live in Auckland, New Zealand. I went to a catholic primary school and highschool. I was was brought up the old way where my oldman would often flog us or take to us with a belt or a stick when it was in order. Often he was right. Even though my old man and mother were strong members in our Tongan catholic community it didnt stop my brothers and I from forming or joining gangs just to get into fights. In 95 my life changed when I walked into an old Irish boxing gym that had now become a boxing and thai boxing gym under a classroom at Good Sheppard Church, Balmoral, Auckland, NZ. I fought from 96- 2001 I train fighters because fight game is what Im good at. My fulltime job is as a youthworker. God is Number 1 in my life. God/family/Sport/Job my friends are my family

I would desribe myself as a kind outgoing person, with a touch of shyness. Capable of holding a conversation on both light and deeper levels. I have a profound love of creation, which has always led me to deep sense of wonderment of our Ceator. I love dearly my two daughters that i have raised and the friendships that i have. I am now at a stage in my life where i am open to exploring the possibility of developing a long and lasting relationship with a view toward marriage.

Fun loving, easy going and passionate about my Catholic faith. Am an engineer by profession. I have trained to be a pastoral care chaplain and enjoy volunteering in this space when time permits. Of Indian origin but lived most of my life overseas. Family, friends and relationships are important to me. I believe in living my faith through my actions, love and friendship with different types of people, while always being faithful to church teachings. More when we talk :)

Hi there. I work hard in the logistics industry where I lead a small but efficient team. I enjoy sport, the outdoors, church activities, and social activities. I am looking for a nice woman that we get along with each other, and can enjoy each others company. And then see where that might take us.

First off, I should probably say that I'm a huge nerd. I love sci-fi, especially Doctor Who and Star Trek. I'm quite a homebody, and although I do watch some television, I prefer to spend my time in quieter pursuits like reading and solving crosswords. I also enjoy studying history and am currently researching the recent history of Ireland.

A busy life brought by professional and academic commitments leave less time to physically meet a guy suited for a romantic relationship. Sometime mid August 2016 on a very rainy day in Mission Bay, my parents and I met a very old Catholic priest for lunch - alongside many other older couples. The conversation was perfect with lots of giggles and discussion of current global political topics. Soon enough, the conversation went to a personal level, the priest directly asked me of my relationship status, I said "I am single, Father - are you? lol", and a roar of laughter followed. Later after lunch, he thanked me for the gift I gave him and advised me not to be alone' - he even added, ''you should try Catholic dating''. This explains why I am on here for the 1st time :) Yes, in my mid 20s my life is composed of dealing with my 'future professional self' and 'future mother/wife self' - and I struggle to find out which is more important to attain first. Yes, I am confident in my singlehood but I do receive a lot of advices from friends and relatives to not be a spinster as living alone for the next say 60 years is so difficult and depressing. So, with a listening ear and active mind, I am trying to seek whether Catholic Match is feasible way to find a man to befriend and love. My background include being in a family of 5 - where I am the oldest of three children, with strict family rules (ie. 7pm curfew lol) - in a Catholic household. My parents do feel bad when we do not go to church together, so we all make it a point to attend Catholic mass once a week together. The closeness of our family is something I appreciate from God, and I do perhaps would like to have one of my own in the future - that's if someone here can maybe make me fully change my mind :) I am passionate about the living, I do care a lot. I care about friendships - many of my friends are long lasting. I consider them as part of my family. I am a strong lady with very soft heart - I do feel that way. Hopefully there is also an alpha man out there who can match my being a strong/alpha female. Reading books, watching documentaries, playing flute (wind instrument) and learning how to play guitar and piano are what I often do in my leisure hours.

I am passionate about making a positive difference in my community and using my gifts and talents to help others. This is why I believe I had a calling towards medicine, as it combined my wonder and awe for God's most amazing creation with values of love and service. I am currently working full time in a rural hospital, but in my time off i enjoy singing and playing the guitar/piano to unwind. I like to immerse myself in nature and whenever I get a long break I travel to different parts of the world.

Love my Catholic faith, enjoy going to mass on a regular basis. I don't drink usually but I may have a drink socially. Was baptized in 2015, always had a belief in God and the Catholic faith. I am a full time flight attendant so I enjoy meeting new people and travelling. In my spare time I like to go out with friends, see a movie, or just simply sitting outside watching the day go by :) I am very friendly so don't be shy to message me :)
  • Mellisa, 26 from Hamilton, NZ
    26, Hamilton, NZ
I'm passionate about supply chain management and system thinking things. I love my faith like cRaY. I could always do better at living it authentically. I could spend way too much time online but... that's probably (or shouldn't be a hobby). I love hanging out with friends and making new ones... love books... love movies... love food (but not alway willing to put in the effort to make it!)... love family (they live far away... maybe that's why this is easier?).
