48, Charlotte, NCTime to update this. I've been living in Charlotte about 15 years now. I've lived in Erie Pa, and Auburn Al previously. I received my degree from Auburn in 1995, Which may cause some issues if you're Bama fan :-) I have been working in law enforcement since 1999 and love my job. I have been rediscovering my faith lately. Like many people I let other things take more importance in my life. Then I realized something was missing. The search led me back. I try to stay active, although truth be told I sometimes get lazy. I spent most of the last year inactive due to shoulder surgery, which aggravated the lazy part I love mountain biking (not very good but getting better), fishing, movies, music, and shooting. I am an ok cook, but I'm learning. I love going out with friends for a drink and darts or watching the game. Staying in and watching a movie or relaxing on the deck with a good book also has its time. Thanks to my job I have a bit of an odd sense of humor, but not too weird. I believe in honesty and understanding in a relationship above all else. Trust is the foundation. Without that, everything will fall apart.Being honest, I do tend to procrastinate and sometimes start one project before finishing another. But they all get done eventually. I love kids and most critters. I'm more of a dog person but have a furry monster who looks like a cat. BTW, I don't smoke cigarettes. Where is says I smoke occasionally, I smoke the occasional cigar. I don't smoke in the house or in cars or around people it annoys. I'll amend this as I think of things. :)
68, Cary, NCMost of my friends see me as an "out of the box" type of person, meaning that when God created me, He threw away the mold :) I can be very quiet, seen as serious at times, yet can be a bit of a playful clown in order not to take things so seriously. They also see me as a person who, tries hard to stay on the narrow path going to Heaven. Prayer is not only something I do, it's a way of life for me. It's that crucial to who I really am... Like many others I actually enjoy, Nature, genuine affection, sincerity of words, the company of friends, laughter, children's way of perceiving the world - simple, direct, uncomplicated. The older I get the more I prefer simplicity. If nothing else it sure saves alot of time... In the Myers Brigg analysis of personality types - I am an INFJ the rarest of personality types. I've come to believe that in knowing oneself, it not only is freeing but quite practical as well.
31, Charlotte, NCAll I know to say is that I am a Catholic young man discerning my path in life. I currently work in a behavioral support classroom with traumatized children. I also work part time as an in-home behavioral health professional. I have a Master's degree in education with a Bachelors in history, philosophy, and Catholic studies. I just started my second Master's degree program in Theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. I'm currently also seeking a potential future in full time catechesis. God is such an important factor in my life. I fall in love with the Eucharist every mass. It is unfathomable how much Christ loved us to be willing to lay his life down for us. My goal in life is to do my best to show Christ's love for other's in my own interactions. On my free time, I love hanging out with friends and family. The kids in my life, especially my nieces and nephews, are such a huge part of my life. I love sports and outdoor activities such as Football, Hiking, Fishing, and Baseball. I also like the movies, especially comedy. I like to read as much as I can. I read the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy in less than 3 days. Unfortunately my students keep me too busy to afford that kind of reading time nowadays. Feel free to ask anything about my interests. I'd like to end with one of my favorite quotes about gentlemanhood. "Don't say, 'That's the way I am. Its my character.' It's your lack of character. - St. Josemaria Escriva on chastity
25, Durham, NCI am definitely most passionate about music. I graduated with a degree in Music Education from East Carolina University with a concentration in voice. I was very fortunate to be a member of the East Carolina University Chamber Singers for 3 years. I had some of the best times of my life in that group. My favorite things to sing were any kind of Sacred Music piece. Now that I am almost finished with my degree, I plan on returning to my church choir back home in Durham. Currently I just got a new job as a church musician for St. Matthews Catholic Church in Durham! I am excited to start! I would have to say that God has been by far the most influential, supportive, and stabilizing force in my life. I am absolutely nothing without Him. My family has also been especially loving and supportive of me. My Dad and brother are also both professional musicians and both influenced and supported me down my chosen path of being a music teacher. In my spare time, I enjoy watching a lot of crime dramas on television. I am also a sports fan (especially being an avid fan of the Carolina Hurricanes). I also play the piano as my secondary instrument and love to play the music of Frederic Chopin. Also I am indeed looking for a relationship. I am willing to take it as slow as it needs to be but I am looking for a woman that I can spend my time and life with in more than just a friendship. And the baby you see me holding in one of the photos is my nephew!
33, Middlesex, NCGlory to Jesus Christ! Dearest lady, I'm a very devout Catholic, observant of both Eastern Catholic and Western Catholic traditions and customs. I'm a father of one handsome and kind ten year-old boy and one beautiful and gentle nine year-old girl. In fact, they are my two most redeeming qualities. I'm a man of an ancient, long, and proud Welsh heritage, and at the same time, I'm a fiercely loyal North Carolinian. I'm a writer of all sorts of different things, a scholar, and a full-time student. I'm a Navy veteran, a sailor through and through, with enough salt in my blood to open a salt mine. But above all--I am a devout, honest, and loving Catholic gentleman. "Love is not concerned with a person's accomplishments, it is a response to a person's being: This is why a typical word of love is to say: I love you, because you are as you are." --Dietrich von Hildebrand

54, Wilmington, NCIt's such a grand world and short time we have to explore and enjoy it and I'm trying to do just that! I love living! The ocean, the mountains, the sky, the clouds, trees, birds, flowers, children, elderly, youth, rivers, etc..you name it and its worth loving. My family is very important in my life. My faith is a game changer for me. I enjoy photography, reading, outdoors, travel, farmers markets and such. I've been on my own for a long time and am very comfortable, independent and for the most part happy. It's tough at this age to meet someone. I look around my own parish and it seems full of lovely married couples and families. I feel lonely and want someone who shares and loves the Catholic faith with me, to sit with me, pray, sing, kneel and just be in the body of Christ with me. I'm not clingy or needy by any means. I can come across uninterested even when I'm just the opposite. i am affectionate and joyful. I am praying for an honest man with faith and similar interest. My goal is not dating or accumulating friendships. My goal is a courtship that leads to marriage. I would welcome the chance to adopt children or foster them, even at my age. Children are the jewels of this world and so many are cast aside. I Want to travel more and hope to find someone who shares that dream. I am organized (sometimes too much), a stickler for cleanliness, definitely not a hoarder, and I like to plan things out ahead. I wake up early and go to bed early. I enjoy lively intellectual conversation of politics, theology, apologetics, current events, history and more. I've studied a great deal of theology, church history and apologetics on my own, I'm a convert and that process did not come easily. I was a reformed Presbyterian before God opened my heart and mind. My path to the Church was much like Scott Hahn and his wife's. I am often dismissed by family members for my faith. However my children and grandchildren are devout Catholics, as I am. I am an avid supporter of the Sanctity of Life and try to be as active as I can in those areas. My son is Executive Director of a non profit ministry in the church for young boys to mentor them to chaste, devout, and faithful Catholic men. I know I need to be more active and would love to meet someone who would help me get that motivation. I used to be so much more active and fit (haven't we all been there?) but seriously, I was an avid cyclist, routine kayaker, gym rat and hiker. I know I can get there again.
