I grew up Catholic all my life and left for awhile, but have returned for 3 yrs now. I have recently took an interest in the Latin Mass as well. It's a learning process and a great decision that I have made. There seems to be a connectivity and all around same beliefs and structure which I enjoy. My family is very important as so my friends. I do have a large circle of both. I would like to have children someday but right now it's not a top priority. I cannot physically have kids, but want to adopt or do fostering.I'm a very laid back person and love to take life as it is handed to me. For fun, I enjoy most outdoor activities that the Midwest has to offer, such as fishing, camping and sports. Some nights I also just like to be a homebody and enjoy a good movie on the TV. On the flip side, I also like to go out dancing and have a few drinks. I do not drink to get drunk, but wine with a meal I like. I wouldn't even consider myself a "social" drinker.. more like every once in a great while.

I'm easy going and I smile a lot. I am definitely social and make friends easily. I like to do just about anything outdoors in almost any weather. I like to eat really good food and I appreciate a good bottle of wine, but I generally prefer beer. I live simply and will splurge on something from time to time. Like a fatbike! I am an excellent cribbage player. I like to think Jesus is the center of my life; however, I am not perfect so I don't expect anyone else to be. I have a strong connection to Madonna House (a catholic lay apostolate in Canada) where I lived for a year and a half. I also spent a year as a Passionist lay volunteer in Jamaica. I grew up in ND, I've lived in many places and had a variety of adventures and jobs. I am currently in an accelerated BA to BSN program in Morehead I will be a Registered Nurse when I am finished. I'm planning to move once I am finished in Dec of 2017, but one never knows. The best way to make God laugh is to tell him your plans!

I'm originally from central Minnesota, but I live in Fargo now and my family lives in western MN. My family are the most important people in my life, and I would do anything for them. I enjoy movies, music, reading and writing, and games of all kinds (board games, card games, video games, etc.), though I also like to get out into the world and travel when I can. I spent four years teaching English in Japan; my profile pic is me standing near a waterfall in a Japanese garden. The picture is old, and I've lost a lot of weight since the time the picture was taken, but I don't have any more recent good pictures to use. I've always been a fan of history, especially learning about the history of different cultures, and I love to visit historical places.

I am passionate about my beliefs, i have them and i stick behind them to the end. Sometimes to a fault. I havent had a lot of big moments that have changed me more just the experiences of life overall have shaped me into who i am. In my free time ill probably play video games or watch sports or movies. Sometimes read. I am pretty awkward at first but im better once you know me or actually talk to me.

First and foremost, family is most important. I have two daughters and one granddaughter, whom I love like she was my own daughter. My parents are also still living and I try to visit them often. I am well read and can carry on a conversation on many topics. Except politics, I find politics and politicians depressing because Ive heard the same old rhetoric my whole adult life. Ironically, I still believe the US is the greatest country in the world because of our political system. I just dont care to indulge in political conversations anymore. The US has provided me with many wonderful opportunities which allowed me to retire at an early age. I write for a hobby because it keeps my mind sharp. I try to write every day and have published a couple of books in recent years. I am passionate about keeping physically fit. I eat well and work out every day. I run 30 - 40 miles each month but I also lift weights. I enjoy hitting the bike trails in the summer months especially in places where I can enjoy nature at the same time, such as Itasca State Park. I believe, God gave me one body - my life is short and I need to take care of it. I live a healthy life, move my body every day, eat with a consciousness, trust on my faith to get me through difficult times, I dont worry about how much money I have, or the house I live in .. its how I live that is most important. Well my name is Matt and I'm a senior at UND studying Managerial Finance & Accounting with a minor in Sport Business. I grew up on a farm near Harvey, ND and live and breathe small town values.
