Faith is very important to me. I am hoping to find friends who share the struggle and joy of trying to live out the Catholic faith in this world. If you end up with friends even though you are not called to marriage, you have lost nothing. I am still discerning my way in the journey of life. I believe that one finds a spouse not through "chasing" as our culture believes but by honestly searching for a companion on the journey (and along the way you hopefully learn more about yourself!). I am an introvert and pretty shy so I really like catholicmatch. I like people who love learning. I've been blessed with a gift of a love of knowledge and a gift of creativity. I like peace and quiet but sometimes I really enjoy festivals, sporting events and I always have fun at my nieces' and nephews' birthday parties and other family events. I feel equally comfortable at a Shakespearean play or a college basketball game. I do not like the profanity and vulgarity in our culture. I am disgusted by locker room humor. Women have more power than they know in any society. They can hold men to high standards of conduct or tolerate the worst in us. It irks me when a man talks about his wife or girlfriend in an indecent or inappropriate way. Even worse is the woman who tolerates such behavior or excuses it. I sometimes get distracted, especially by things I find fascinating be it a beautiful scenic view, a skilled musician,a painting in a museum, a river flowing by, etc. I can have a dry sense of humor and can be downright cutting when it comes to the immorality, irreverence and silliness in our present world. I think having integrity is more important than the car one drives or wearing flashy clothes. Loving my enemies can be difficult but Christ did not call us to easy tasks. I love history, whether it is of my family, state, country, world or the Church. I love books (especially Catholic books), bookstores, amusement parks, historical sites, souvenir shops, historical documentaries and watching international sporting events (Oympics, World Cup), baseball, football or my favorite, college basketball. I like detective fiction, old time radio shows, classic movies and road trips. I follow politics and used to work on campaigns and taught political science at the community college level for several years.

I am a very spiritual person who has a strong, chivalrous, kind, loving, friendly and outgoing personality. I am thoughtful and generous with my family and friends. I am a self-confident individual who enjoys talking with and helping others. As a good listener, I am very understanding and compassionate about the needs and desires of others. I am conservative in my political views, as well as in my Roman Catholic beliefs and practices. In addition to running my Consulting business, in my spare time I enjoy traveling around the United States, as well as Europe with my friends. Visiting great restaurants and having friendly conversation is most enjoyable. I also enjoy watching classic movies and attending plays and concerts. At times, I simply enjoy doing absolutely nothing - which rarely happens. My favorite activity is walking or sitting on the beach while watching the beautiful sun set with the movement of the ocean. Throughout my travels, it has been a great joy to see the various enchanting vistas painted by the sun around the world. While at home, I enjoy attending prayer group functions, as well as making spiritual pilgrimages to Europe and other places. Although I work in the city, I enjoy my weekends in the country tinkering with my solar electric system and watching the fish in my pond.

  • Rick, 57 from Cincinnati, OH
    57, Cincinnati, OH
I am outgoing with a sense of humor, looking for the lady with heart that compliments mine I enjoy walking, simple good meals, outdoors in general, good conversation, a nice glass of wine at home or at at comfortable restaurant. I enjoy my interest, a little woodworking and riding a motorcycle. I used to go whitewater kayaking but time has removed that from my list of easy things to do. I enjoy travel and look forward to doing more with a friend.
  • Karhla, 40 from Cincinnati, OH
    40, Cincinnati, OH
My name is Karhla with an H. I'm in a new town and I really enjoy exploring my new city. I enjoy walks along the Ohio river and sitting at the coffee shop across the river staring at the Cincinnati skyline. Now that Salsa on the square is getting started, I'm getting my dancing shoes ready! After 23 years in Atlanta, there's a lot to discover in Cincinnati. Laughter is the medicine to the soul. You've got to laugh at yourself, because if you don't, who will? Underneath the infectious laugh, there's a woman who can take things seriously when needed. I take my faith very seriously. I strive to become the person God created me to be daily. I'm always looking for ways to learn and grow. My family and friends will tell you that I'm always there for them. I lend an ear whenever they need me. Quality time and acts of services are my main two love languages, so being there for the birth of my newest nephews or to celebrate birthdays with the family, those are times that I relish. One of the things I enjoy most is traveling and learning about new cultures. There's something unique about each place I've visited whether it's the magnificent medieval churches and gelato in Italy or a train ride along the south of France while taking the different shades of blue out in the ocean. Traveling is the only time you pay and become richer. There's so much to see and experience not only overseas, but even here in the US.

Well, I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist, grew up in a little tiny town, and that is really the heart of who I am. Even though I work in a large city (Lewis Center) I'm a small town guy at heart. As to my relationship with God, I'm not gonna try to sound like its more than it is. I am stubbornly, proudly Catholic, because I know the Church is the One Truth. However, I have my sins, just like everyone, and I struggle against myself every day. I love reading, playing golf and softball and also horseback riding, although I dont get to do that as much as I'd like to. Anything else there is to know, just ask.
  • Nicholas, 26 from Fairborn, OH
    26, Fairborn, OH
I am an Industrial and Systems Engineer, and I love what I do. I love organizing, analyzing, and optimizing everything. I am currently working on my Ph.D. in Industrial and Human Systems Engineering at Wright State University; my dissertation research is in the healthcare field, driving clinical process improvement. I hope to work in this field upon graduation, so that I can continue to help patients and improve our healthcare system. I would also like to teach college-level classes as an adjunct faculty on the side, as I enjoy helping others understand the complex subjects that I love. I am a traditional Roman Catholic, and my faith is important to me. I attend the Latin Mass and sing in the schola. My philosophy on life is this: I believe that order, learning, and technological progress are the keys to the future of civilization, that justice and honor are the defenders of that civilization, that morality (specifically, the Catholic Church) is its foundation, and the family its basic and essential constituent. I love my family and would do anything for them. I have a small circle of friends whom I truly appreciate and with whom I enjoy spending time. I believe it is better to have a few true friends than many superficial acquaintances. I usually keep to myself, being a rather quiet and easy-going individual. When I am with my friends and family, however, I let loose and have a lot of fun. I am a nerd and proud of it. I am continuously seeking out and storing away information about the world around me. I correct my friends' grammar all the time, and I am full of fun and sometimes random facts. I am fascinated by science, math, history, and languages. I have a great appreciation for the fine arts: classical music, opera, theater, art, literature, gourmet dishes and spirits. I love travelling and exploring new places, especially those of historical significance or natural beauty. I like to cook. I am a big fan of fantasy and science fiction. I enjoy most board games and some collectible strategy card games. I do enjoy video/PC games, usually those of a strategic nature. Although not an avid sports fan, I like watching baseball and American football or attending games with friends. I watch a good deal of movies and TV shows, my favorites being action and fantasy.

  • Stephanie, 25 from Dayton, OH
    25, Dayton, OH
I am passionate about my family and my faith, and I most look forward to the day I can share that passion with my better half. My mother is definitely the most influential person in my life. Some might think that's lame, but I do not; she is my best friend. I am beginning a career change, and I am so excited! I have my Bachelor's in Middle Childhood Education, and I am currently working as an Information Security Analyst/Auditor. Truthfully, I really don't like my job, and I feel stuck with my degree. However, I recently had a self-discovery and was reminded of how much I! My goal is to re-enroll in school to study Meteorology! I hope to some day work with and study severe storms/tornados and research how to improve lead time and technology. In my leisure time, I (don't laugh) really enjoy advanced paint by numbers. ....okay, okay, FINE you can laugh. But I stand by this! Thet are very therapeutic!

  • Jennifer, 35 from Cincinnati, OH
    35, Cincinnati, OH
Hello! I love spending time with family and friends. I enjoy being outside and playing a variety of sports. I just completed my second half Ironman. I play ultimate Frisbee in some recreation leagues around town. Road races in general are fun; running, mud races, obstacle courses, etc. I have always enjoyed working with kids. That role has changed from leading camps and running youth programs to now teaching or coaching kids. I put my heart into whatever it is that I do and try to do my best. God has blessed me tremendously! I'd love to hear your story...
