73, Malvern, OHThis is a challenge, to say the least. I have retired from the Navy, and have been spending time on family matters here in Ohio. Best friends are on the Pacific and Atlantic coastlines, and after all the years on or near the saltwater, the Pacific Northwest and Alaska are home. Pope Benedict's "Summorum Pontificum" on the Tridentine Mass is the best Catholic news I can recall, and I look forward to its reverence and timeless, peaceful strength. Serving and chanting it again would be wonderful as well. Though I've been able to spend 10 to 12 hours per day, 6 days a week working alone in the Douglas fir forests or on a farm in Oregon, finding my name in the new Wyoming Carmelites' potential-hermit book might be a rough go. I do spend most of my free time with younger people. Never a Dad, I've been uncle and coach to nieces and nephews, entire swimming, volleyball and track teams, and homeschooling and Navy families (reportedly ruining some of their moppet offspring). I also volunteer in Pro-Life efforts, where more and more of the dedicated, younger troops are gathering, and on high school blood drives with the nearby Catholic hospital's blood services team. During Vespers at WYD 2002 in Toronto, Pope Saint John Paul II told us that " . . . Holiness is always youthful, just as eternal is the youthfulness of God." His words are unforgettable, and so they must be the good and true course to steer. Against all odds, I have a heart for the underdog. I tend to be healthy; cabin fever is the worst ailment I know. Almost forgot - character: sometimes I am trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. And sadly, sometimes not.
63, Summerfield, OHHi I the youngest of 10 kids country boy but where did the country go? I have three sons. and three grand children. Steady job and don't type so this is work. Maybe do better latter. I live on a farm in southeastern ohio. Just have, one horse now, think of starting farming small scale.
53, Steubenville, OHI am a Catholic woman who desires to do God's will in the small things and big things. I am the youngest of three, born in Michigan. I have also lived in Florida, Ohio and Maryland. I have never been married, though I have dated. I am fun-loving, reflective, introverted and extroverted. I enjoy the simple, important things, like conversing with loved ones and quality time. I am an observant person, desiring to be aware of others' needs, etc. I am comfortable in front of an audience, as well as comfortable with people I do not know. But I believe it is important to have true friends and intimacy. I truly enjoy being in nature, especially beaches, water, the woods and the open countryside. And I particularly enjoy horses and sea life. I love riding horses. I like most other animals also, but dislike cats -ha! My favorite thing to do is pray, and often I pray with music. My other favorite things include singing, playing guitar or piano, writing songs, walking, dancing, bicycling, swimming at the beach (or floating!), dinner or parties with friends, group games, funny spontaeneous fun singing songs or doing skits, good movies, etc. I have always believed in God's love for me, since childhood. He has blessed me to have had several family members around me who were Christians, and supported me in my faith. And particularly in the Charismatic renewal, that I became involved with when I was 11, I committed my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, and was lovingly supported by faith-filled adults in prayer groups, communities, etc. I have found that real peace, joy and love comes from knowing Jesus Christ in the power of His Holy Spirit. I believe that the Holy Spirit, respect and trust are the most important elements in a married relationship.
51, Steubenville, OHI am an open, down to earth kind of person. I love God and want to do His will in my life and honor Him in all my relationships. I try to live by the golden rule which is treat others as I would like to be treated. I am pro life and proud to take a stand for it. I want to find someone who accepts all the teachings of the Catholic Church. In other words, I want a man that is not a cafeteria Catholic. I am not willing at all to compromise as it would go totally against the person I was raised to be. I currently volunteer for a Catholic organization in whatever capacity they need me. I have also taken part in several 40 Days for Life campaigns in the past several years.
27, Caldwell, OHI love living in the country being able to do things and not have everyone watching you. I love animals and being outside. If I have the option there is always music on. I've never really cared for Facebook it's a nice idea but can be more trouble than it's worth. I'd rather talk in person or on a phone rather then texting. You can hear so much more feeling or sarcasm in someone's voice. Currently most of my time is spent working because of my job. I hope someday to find something that allows me to have more time to spend with a family. I find that sometimes it's the simple things in life that are better. In all I'm just a small town country boy.
59, Coolville, OHI'm an okay guy I guess. Most people find me easy going and relaxed - may be a bit to relaxed! I dont get much involved with other people telling them what to do and dont wan anyother telling me wha t to do.
63, Steubenville, OHI am a 61 year old man who would like to meet the love of my life. I am looking for the 'whole package' love, romance, intimacy, and companionship. And I offer the whole package in return. I'm looking for a best friend and lover.
26, Steubenville, OHI like perpetual adoration and receiving the sacraments as often as possible of course. I like to make rosary bracelets, pray the rosary with my rosary bracelets, look at stained glass windows, pray, pray, pray, go to confession, pray, and brush up on my papal encyclicals.
31, Steubenville, OHJust a normal guy. Like to exercise, fish, watch sports, read books and pray. Glad I am Catholic, it is a crazy world out there and my faith is like a compass for me. I'm tired of meeting "material girls" and want to have a genuine relationship with a deep thinker. Of course attraction is important, but that is different for each of us. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But mostly I want a meeting of the minds and stimulating conversation. That's what will last 60 years in a marriage anyway.
48, Steubenville, OHI enjoy helping others to be successful in their goals. I am passionate about establishing a catholic-base private nonprofit to provide an opportunity for those slipping through the cracks earn a good catholic education, besides assist the needs of abortion alternative clinics, food pantries, veteran organizations, and various needs of children. I truly enjoy attending Mass as often as possible along with adoration and a solid sacrament of confession. its also good to have a balance in eating healthy and working out at the gym which attaining this balance is always a work in progress
29, Steubenville, OHAfter more than enough dating disasters, I've decided I hope to find someone who loves God more than he would love me. I want a relationship that pulls me to Christ. That, above all else, is what I'm looking for. I spent the last ten years as an artist, but after hurting my hands, I've gone back to school to study accounting. I still aspire to be a novelist, and a good story - be it book, movie, or video game - still very much excites me. Just a warning, though: I go into them cynical. To make myself a better writer, I tear apart the stories other people have made, looking for the flaws and trying to decide how I would make them better. And I enjoy every second of it. When I can find the time, I love going outside. Be it a walk through the cemetery, kayaking at a nearby lake, or just taking the dogs for a walk around the block, some fresh air on a nice day is one of the best ways to calm my nerves and refresh myself from the chaos of school, work, and living with my parents. The perfect date to me is one where I don't have to make the decisions. A man who confidently takes charge and makes me feel secure is a big checkmark in the 'yes, please' column.
