58, Steubenville, OHI see ladies talking about guys breaking their heart, not changing, behaving badly, etc... I'm not a worldly handsome playboy but a blessing, a slim-athletic convert to the Catholic faith, deep and serious, childlike and fun, adventurous, caring, communicative, faithful, spiritual, romantic, compassionate, gentle and humble of heart! I make changes for the sake of my relationships. People really enjoy my gentle yet strong voice and my gift of prayer. It is natural to see someone as not being quite what we want. Marriage isn't just the perfect combo of what we think we want. It's highest calling is to encourage the our mate to be holy. The old adage stands: "Don't judge a book by its cover." What if we give someone a chance despite what we initially think? What if we open ourselves more to supernatural grace to what God would have us be and do. A seemingly less desirable or "immature" person may have an amazing story and may have grown exponentially despite many hardships. Perhaps we are the loving instrument that would inspire, bless, help, encourage, nurture, and make the other person strong and blossom to become an awesome member in the Body of Christ. God is big, and he might have your soul-mate a mere excursion away! Please don't just be "practical" and close off a great guy. I just happen to have made my temporary home in Steubenville because I enjoy the affiliation with Franciscan University. I'm able to move in a heartbeat. Playing sports, being with family and friends, being a pundit for God and conservatism, going on pilgrimage, gardening - I lived off the land for a whole year once!, home repair and landscaping, playing on my baby grand piano. I've performed at churches, sharing published compositions. Worked with the handicapped and Habitat for Humanity. Spent time discerning the priesthood, so I haven't dated much. I think that my lonesomeness shows and I don't make a good first impression. My folks are gone, my family members aren't Catholic. So I would be blessed to have a helpmate with whom we can share the Good News & the beauty of the Church. I feel that I'm a good communicator (and have incorporated self-help books, spiritual direction and prayer to improve) but the devil often seems to get in the works. Lord, help us not to hang onto some judgment or misunderstanding that would block the bigger picture of who someone is and ruin what you would have wanted.
64, Steubenville, OHI was married for over twenty years but things did not work out. My marriage was annulled awhile back. My life is presently in need of God and someone to help keep Him there. From my marriage I have to two grown step-children which in my heart are mine and three grandchildren of which I have the same feelings. I am happy in my life but feel God is asking more of me. What is it, is the question and I am seeking different avenues to find out, you may be the answer. I am a man of simple wants and desires, a giver who is in need of someone to aide me in my giving. My family is small but very important to me and would be a major part of any relationship I should develop. I am honest, trustworthy, funloving, independent, easy to get along with, supportive and loving. My tastes in activities are very open but sports and some water activities(such as swimming) are on the bottom of the list. There may be more to me than I know, ask me if you would like to know more I'd be very happy to talk.
62, Steubenville, OHWhat an adventure This life is! One thing I have learned though is that Our Good Lord always guides, protects, heals and teaches.... no matter what. My Faith is my rock, and I consider Jesus my best friend. This is my first priority, and all else flows from there... My second priority has always been my family. I have four kids and four granddaughters, though my nest is now empty which feels rather odd. My awesome 22 year old just graduated from college, opened her wings and soared off to her first professional job. It will be exciting to see what Our Lord brings next... Having said that, I have always been a quiet, easy going sort with a soul that craves adventure. I am blessed, (or cursed), with an artistic temperament, and love beauty of all kinds, especially what is found hiding inside of people. I arrange the altar flowers for our parish and occasional weddings which is morphing into a part time business... a job I truly love. One of the greatest gifts since my divorce is dusting off my guitar to play in a couple of our parish's music ministries. Such an honor to sing for Our Lord. But of all the things Our Good Lord has provided, the grace to start a divorce recovery group for my parish has been the most fulfilling. Truly, inside of every tragedy lies a sparkling silver lining. It's an honor to discover those blessings not only in myself, but within the souls I am surrounded with. As far as dreams go, I long for the beauty of nature......just about anything God has created has it's own unique charm. I used to do a lot of primitive camping, and would dearly love to find someone who enjoys the simple pleasures of the outdoors. I'm currently working on getting my three oldest granddaughters out swimming, hiking, canoeing, and camping. So far so good. There's much to rejoice over. I would also like to continue working for the church, and Am usually willing to travel just about anywhere. : )
61, Steubenville, OHI live near Steubenville and enjoy going to live theater, concerts and sporting events. I like anything to do with American history. I am a nice, caring , easy-going guy who appreciates the simple things in life. I am looking for a friend/companion first and then see if anything further develops .Like day trips and weekend getaway. I would eventually like a long term committed relationship.
39, Steubenville, OHAppearance: I'm 6'0 feet tall with black hair and brown eyes. I'm not skinny or obese and my stomach is more keg than six-pack. Personality: I would describe myself as a Dominican Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati with many more flaws. I enjoy all things religious from silent retreats to festival of praises. I enjoy going out and having a good time; some good wholesome fun whether it be going to a ball game or going salsa dancing. I'm more of a listener than I am a talker when it comes to my personal life. With respect to theology, philosophy, sports, politics, etc... I'm more of a talker than a listener. Background: My family is from the Dominican Republic but I was born and raised in the US. My family is very important to me even though I don't see them as much as I would like. I grew up cultural catholic and attended CCD growing up but didn't really begin practicing my faith seriously until I was 24. I've discerned the priesthood for many years but realized that I am called to glorify God as a married man. I'm really easy going and I love to laugh and dance. Current: I'm currently renting the basement area from a missionary couple. I love living in a home with two beautiful children that keep me from sleeping in too long because they will come downstairs and wake me up.
30, Steubenville, OHI'm originally from the Philadelphia area, but I'm not a city girl. I strive to make the Lord the center of my life. I have a heart for ministry and service whenever God may open a door. I'm a people person and love to have fun: parties, game nights, dancing, shows, live music, you name it. I love coffee, especially with others, and have a dream of opening my own coffee shop one day. I have 2 younger brothers and am very close with my family. I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and cooking, especially when hosting people. I love trying new things, especially if its something my friends love to do and I can share in their experience.
46, Steubenville, OHHello! I'm Mary Elizabeth and the center of my life is my relationship with God. I'm passionate about my faith and seeking to live God's will every day. I look forward to meaningful moments with family and friends, participating in prayer and social groups, traveling and exploring, walking and sitting peacefully in nature. I spend time on personal development, health and wellness, creativity through fiber arts, prayer, listening to audio books. I love playing cards and games. I don't often watch TV or movies, but enjoy it occasionally, as well as the YouTube videos my kids are always showing me. :) Some influential experiences in my life have been moving frequently as a child, going to Franciscan University, traveling on a NET team (National Evangelization Teams), working as an au pair in Liechtenstein, participating in some wonderful prayer groups... The times in my life that have been the most challenging (and painful) have also been the ones that have caused me to grow. I'm grateful that God makes all things work for the good!
25, Steubenville, OHI am a simple girl who works as a residence director at a Catholic University. I love being able to serve and mentor young women through their college experience! I enjoy being outdoors, playing sports(especially tennis and softball), board games, and learning new things. I'm very kind, compassionate. I'm a choleric, so I enjoy leading and teaching but also enjoy being along for the ride. I love a good intellectual discussion and challenging social norms. I'd love to get to know you!
58, St Clairsville, OHLife is too short to not enjoy living and sweat the small stuff. I look forward to meeting someone wo see their glass as half full not half empty. To have someone by their side to enjoy trips; conversations; family; dining out; dining in; quiet times. I think you understand. Life is more fun shared when shared with that one special person. I am the proud mother of 2 sons~one is 29 and married and has my first grandchild and my other son is 23 and just graduated from college with a professional job!.
22, Steubenville, OHMy name is Mallory, I am a recent graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville. I graduated with a degree in Social Work. I love children, being with them always brightens my day and I look forward to being a house wife and mother one day. I enjoy being active and being out doors, I especially enjoy hiking. I also enjoy being in the kitchen, being in the kitchen and making food for others is very relaxing to me and food always brings people together. My grandparents and parents are the ones who have influenced me the most. I enjoy the time I have spent with them and look forward to the next visit every time. I was raised in Connecticut and that is where my family currently lives, I am not looking to go back there however as the cost of living is extremely high. I enjoy travel, I spent a semester in Austria and look forward to the day when I can go back to Europe. I also love having music on while I am working. Country is probably my favorite but I will listen to just about anything. However I am not the biggest fan of rock music.
35, Steubenville, OHHi! I'm really new to this but am looking into give this a try! The Lord Jesus is the most important person in my life-always has and always will be. I love the simple life and believe in living in the moment. The present is a tremendous gift. I enjoy reading a lot (especially fantasy and-don't laugh-YA fiction is my favorite). I also love video games (yes, I'm a 35 year old woman who enjoys video games!) I have also discovered that I enjoy cooking a lot. I am always game for trying new things (you never know until you try!) I enjoy exploring places I have never seen. Animals are definitely a passion...especially dogs. Love dogs! I can't own any right now because I rent but I do own two adorable guinea pigs who are a riot! I love creation because each creature reveals some mystery of God. I also love singing and was in my parish choir for about 7 years. Singing is one of the times that I feel closest to God. I work as an aide for an autistic child and it is truly the most rewarding job I have ever had. In fact, it doesn't even feel like a job! I love seeing the world through his eyes-it is such a joy!
34, South Point, OHIt's always a toss up what to put in this part so here it goes and hopefully some will actually read it lol. I've just completed my first year of being completely self employed. After working at a local spa as a massage therapist for almost 3 years I took the leap and went out on my own. It was definitely one of the most scary life decisions I've made but throughout this last year I have no doubt that it was exactly the right decision. I am settling into more of a routine now with my new business I am looking for someone special to share this thing called life with and enjoy my time off with, that is also looking to build a long term serious relationship. (Serious was not quite the exact word I was looking for but you get the idea lol... I date for the purpose of finding that special guy to marry and share my life with). My faith is a very important part of my life, as well as in my search for that someone special. So finding someone that shares these core beliefs of our catholic faith is very important to me as my life decisions and outlook on life and love all come back to my faith. Relationships are hard enough, God has to be a part of the balance. I am a very positive, half glass full kind of girl that enjoys keeping an active, healthy lifestyle and believe a healthy body leads to a healthy mind and vice versa. That being said I'm not the kind to be at the gym all the time. I like to relax, have a nice dinner and watch a good movie as much as getting outside for a hike or just having fun at a good concert, football/baseball or basketball game. I'm looking for someone who shares some of my interests, knows who they are and what they want out of life. I know there are still good guys out there that are looking for the same long term companionship to make a happy life even more complete, I'm just trying to find one that's good for me. :) A relationship where you can pray, worship and passionately pursue God together is worth the wait. We are too complex of beings to be completely defined in a matter of a few hundred words lol ..... So If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask!
