73, Malvern, OHThis is a challenge, to say the least. I have retired from the Navy, and have been spending time on family matters here in Ohio. Best friends are on the Pacific and Atlantic coastlines, and after all the years on or near the saltwater, the Pacific Northwest and Alaska are home. Pope Benedict's "Summorum Pontificum" on the Tridentine Mass is the best Catholic news I can recall, and I look forward to its reverence and timeless, peaceful strength. Serving and chanting it again would be wonderful as well. Though I've been able to spend 10 to 12 hours per day, 6 days a week working alone in the Douglas fir forests or on a farm in Oregon, finding my name in the new Wyoming Carmelites' potential-hermit book might be a rough go. I do spend most of my free time with younger people. Never a Dad, I've been uncle and coach to nieces and nephews, entire swimming, volleyball and track teams, and homeschooling and Navy families (reportedly ruining some of their moppet offspring). I also volunteer in Pro-Life efforts, where more and more of the dedicated, younger troops are gathering, and on high school blood drives with the nearby Catholic hospital's blood services team. During Vespers at WYD 2002 in Toronto, Pope Saint John Paul II told us that " . . . Holiness is always youthful, just as eternal is the youthfulness of God." His words are unforgettable, and so they must be the good and true course to steer. Against all odds, I have a heart for the underdog. I tend to be healthy; cabin fever is the worst ailment I know. Almost forgot - character: sometimes I am trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. And sadly, sometimes not.
64, Steubenville, OHI was married for over twenty years but things did not work out. My marriage was annulled awhile back. My life is presently in need of God and someone to help keep Him there. From my marriage I have to two grown step-children which in my heart are mine and three grandchildren of which I have the same feelings. I am happy in my life but feel God is asking more of me. What is it, is the question and I am seeking different avenues to find out, you may be the answer. I am a man of simple wants and desires, a giver who is in need of someone to aide me in my giving. My family is small but very important to me and would be a major part of any relationship I should develop. I am honest, trustworthy, funloving, independent, easy to get along with, supportive and loving. My tastes in activities are very open but sports and some water activities(such as swimming) are on the bottom of the list. There may be more to me than I know, ask me if you would like to know more I'd be very happy to talk.
30, Steubenville, OHHey hey!... I'm a fun loving guy, romantic at heart, yet know when to take things seriously. I dance, work as a nurse, manage properties, volunteer with youth, etc. My ideal meet up is a cup of coffee/tea followed by a walk. After that, I'm up for whatever: road trip, hiking, running, dancing I'm very laid back and hopeful for whatever God wants. Looking forward to meeting you :)
32, Marietta, OHId like to think im an easy going and laid back person. Im a very optimistic person and enjoy a good laugh. I enjoy spending time with my one and only daughter, my family and friends. 33, Sardis, OHLet's see...I'm a man of few words, but I would say I'm pretty down-to-earth. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, sports, coaching, and living life. When I am able, I like to golf, fish and work out. Relationships are important to me. I come from a fairly close-knit family with solid parents and three siblings, me being in the middle. The Lord is very important to me and is my rock. I am looking for someone who does their best to live their Catholic faith, is genuine, and likes to live life to the fullest.
28, Bloomingdale, OHWelcome! I am currently in transition from Wisconsin to Ohio, and will be splitting some time between the Columbus and Steubenville areas. After lots of prayer and discernment, I have recently resigned from my engineering job to relocate closer to family, rest up, and pursue music, art, and other interests on a more serious level. Somewhere along the way, I hope to design and build another sailboat.
24, Youngstown, OHHi! I'm Margaret and I am currently a third-year medical student at Ohio University. My faith is very important to me, and I hope to find someone who shares similar values!
61, Cambridge, OHWell, a little about myself. I am a full time farmer, raising corn and hay for lambs and beef cattle. I consider myself conservative politically, prolife, and believe in the Creator. More later
70, Steubenville, OHI enjoy daily Mass, gardening, tennis, traveling, and time with my children and grandchildren. My oldest granddaughter just finished her first year here at Franciscan University. I like to walk, and exercise at a 'y' several times a week.
25, Steubenville, OHI am a simple girl who works as a residence director at a Catholic University. I love being able to serve and mentor young women through their college experience! I enjoy being outdoors, playing sports(especially tennis and softball), board games, and learning new things. I'm very kind, compassionate. I'm a choleric, so I enjoy leading and teaching but also enjoy being along for the ride. I love a good intellectual discussion and challenging social norms. I'd love to get to know you!
35, Steubenville, OHHi! I'm really new to this but am looking into give this a try! The Lord Jesus is the most important person in my life-always has and always will be. I love the simple life and believe in living in the moment. The present is a tremendous gift. I enjoy reading a lot (especially fantasy and-don't laugh-YA fiction is my favorite). I also love video games (yes, I'm a 35 year old woman who enjoys video games!) I have also discovered that I enjoy cooking a lot. I am always game for trying new things (you never know until you try!) I enjoy exploring places I have never seen. Animals are definitely a passion...especially dogs. Love dogs! I can't own any right now because I rent but I do own two adorable guinea pigs who are a riot! I love creation because each creature reveals some mystery of God. I also love singing and was in my parish choir for about 7 years. Singing is one of the times that I feel closest to God. I work as an aide for an autistic child and it is truly the most rewarding job I have ever had. In fact, it doesn't even feel like a job! I love seeing the world through his eyes-it is such a joy!
51, Belpre, OHI think about and work hard on my spiritual, mental and physical health. There are bumps in every road, but life is good and I am grateful. I have been divorced and single for 19 years. My kids have recently moved on and I find myself with a lot more down time. I have to admit, I miss the company and the busy lifestyle. I would like to fill this gap with new experiences, laughter and friendship. I desire a deep and meaningful friendship, one that would just naturally evolve into an intimate relationship. I do not rush things and I am very cautious, maybe slightly jaded in some sense. I am independent and able to take care of myself. Hoping to find that best friend that I can cheer for and lift up knowing he would do the same for me. It's really very simple, respect and honesty.
