I hope to meet someone that wants to share their life with me and me with theirs. I am easy going. I would like to do some traveling in the USA. The Keys seem interesting and maybe the north west states. I am not one that is on the go all the time. I try to stay busy but not overly busy. I enjoy down time and time with someone special. I enjoy the simple things in life and don't have to be on the go all the time. I do enjoy sailing and spending time on the boat during the summer months. The boat takes a lot of my free time in the Spring and fall getting it ready for winter and doing the same in the spring getting it ready for summer. It is getting harder to take care of the boat so I don't know how long I will be able to take care of a boat. I am retired and enjoy my free time. I would like to share the time I have left with someone that has experienced loss and understands the up and downs of loss. Life is hard when you are alone as you probably know too..

I am semi retired plumbing and heating contractor and do service and installations for mainly old customers and referrals as of recent times. I am 76 years old, active and in good health. My wife of 39 years died in 2007 during a surgery that was later told to me was not needed. She was my soulmate and we had a good marriage and raised four children and I now have many grandchildren whom I cherish. Most of the offspring live in northeastern Ohio and requires two hours by car to see them. I like golf a lot and other outdoor activities but my main interest presently is playing violin, which I do regularly at church every sunday and in community orchestra in Sylvania Ohio. Both of my parents were born in Ireland and I go back there frequently but enjoy traveling in general. My goal is to reduce the loneliness that that has settled in and which is tough to accept. My faith is increasingly important to me and I strive to strengthen same by reading apologetics and theology books and trying to recognize the goodness in all people.

I look forward to complete retirement and being able to travel. I have worked for nearly 35 years at 5 jobs and I am at a point in my life where there are too many things to see and do in the world to waste it working. I do enjoy working with kids. I have been a 4-H advisor for 28 years, coached for 21 years, and actually taught phys. ed. at the parochial school for a few years. I enjoy dancing, socializing (drinking), spending time with friends and family. Love basketball, baseball, and golf and not in that order. I do not enjoy sitting still for more than 15 minutes. So though I enjoy movies I need a seat belt to actually see them. I lost my husband to cancer about 4.5 years ago and I tried dating a few times, but not looking in the right places. I grew up in the 60's and 70's and I'm not a flower child, but I can tell you I enjoyed the 60's a whole lot. I never thought I would resort to the match making scene, but I have had friends that convinced me I should give it a try. Now I am looking forward to the experience.

I am fortunately very healthy and enjoy travelling. Fishing on Lake Erie and walking on the beach are great pastimes, too. Besides cruising, I enjoy driving and riding around the USA and taking safe trips for new adventures abroad. Most inspirational, yet fun trips, were recent pilgrimages to the Holy land and Rome, where we witnessed the White Smoke for the new Pope; Canada, Lourdes and Fatima and Paris shrines and churches. Right now, to keep the brain active and stay young at heart, I love teaching part time and volunteering in parish activities. Exercising and walking my cute dog in the neighborhood or on the beach keep the limbs limber. Politics are most interesting and I enjoy friendly debate and have been told that I have a good sense of humor. I truly enjoy live drama and music--regularly support community theatre and attend Broadway shows. Going to summer concerts with a picnic is delightful. And, I like to watch pro-tennis, basketball, Red Sox and the Mud Hens; Detroit Lions, N E Patriots and Notre Dame football on TV or any team at a live game. I have a good, happy life, but it would be nice to share a sincere friendship/relationship with an honest, confident, positive, friendly and flexible man with similar values. Sharing our likes and understanding differences and appreciating each other's family and friends complete the ideal. So, at this time, I would rather listen to what an interested man has to share, then share more, later... Now, a year later in January 2016, Catholic Match has opened a door for a great friendship. Merci beaucoup for my meeting a man that fits the bill.

I am a convert. I love my religion, but am not strict on all aspects. I have been married and divorced twice, so I guess I'm over that. My daughter and grandson live with me. I bought the house so they would have someplace to live and I could travel again once my daughter got a good paying job (which I doubt will ever happen!). I have traveled to Spain, Peru, South Pacific, and all over states. Would love to spend 6 months or more just walking Ireland. Love history, biking, and walking, mainly sightseeing.

I am passionate about honesty. I am passionate about being considerate, polite and respectful to the people I encounter each day. I think I am a good listener. I am patient. It makes more sense to me to stay calm, and try to work out a disagreement. If necessary, cool off and agree on a time (as soon as possible) to discuss it again and resolve the problem. I think the worst way to handle the situation is to walk away and not want to talk about it. That solves nothing. My Catholic education had more of an influence on me than I realized (while I was growing up). At this point in my life, I can't imagine living without it, and how much it helps me each day. I am fortunate to have been blessed with many friends through the years through my faith, social and work lives. One person that stands out is a very good friend who served with me while we were in the Navy (on the same ship). We still try to contact each other every month or two, although we live about 2 hours (driving distance) apart. In my leisure time, I like go for a walk (before or during sunset) and run (at least once per week), which helps me physically, spiritually and psychologicaly. I love to ride my bike (same benefits). I like to read (we have a fantastic library system in this area). I like to do some occasional woodworking and mechanical activities around the house. I like to work with my hands and get a lot of satisfaction from things I might construct and finish or repair. I am low maintenance. I don't want, nor expect people to have to pick up after me. I think that comes from several areas; My mother worked hard to keep our house clean, but also picked up after my dad a lot. I also spent 4 years in the Navy. That will teach you to keep your area clean! I am not a neat freak, but I like to keep my surroundings tidy & orderly. It would be helpful if my spouse would have a similar attitude. We should also be willing to pitch in and help each other if necessary. I do all the laundry (and hang it outside, weather permitting), cleaning, dishes, vacuuming, ironing, etc.. My biggest challenge is cooking (or the lack of it !). Thank God for freezers & microwaves!

I love to laugh and can find humour in almost every situation!I have two grown sons and grew up in a large, crazy Catholic family. I'm very close to my family and have wonderful friends. After losing my husband to cancer over 2 years ago, I miss having someone special in my life. I work full time and enjoy my job. Currently I am working in Africa so I'm in and out of the states on a regular basis. This opportunity won't last forever but I'm enjoying the experience immensely! I like to be outdoors and love animals, especially horses and dogs. My Catholic faith is extremely important to me.

This dating thing wasn't the easiest thing 50 years ago, and still isn't - but I'm trying. I am a Wood County (NW Oho) native all my life, grew up in the country but not a farmer. I am a retired elementary teacher Like to stay active, but I'm not a jock or a weekend warrior. My mind says 30, but my body says 60. Enjoy my two grown children, their spouses, & my 5 grandchildren, all of whom are close enough to visit on a regular basis. I have a passion for classic & muscle cars, like to attend a car show or cruise now and again, Woodward Dream Cruise in Michigan is a favorite every year. My food tastes are pretty simple - don't go for the exotic or foreign. Not into sailing, boating, or fishing - I don't swim. I can handle going to the beach & enjoy visiting all parts of the USA. Would like to do Route 66 some day soon. I enjoy scenic car trips and train rides. I tolerate air travel when absolutely necessary. There's more to me than will fit in this paragraph, but I would say I'm a fairly simple person with simple tastes, who likes to have fun, enjoy life, & be with people who are not afraid to laugh.

I am passionate about my catholic faith, my children, grandchildren and my dogs. The influential people in my life were my mom, dad, grandmother, Bishop John Stowe and my siblings. The experiences that have been influential are staying close to my faith. In my leisure time I enjoy doing my church ministry work, walking, movies, nature, riding motorcycles, camping, cooking outdoors, dancing, card playing, and spending time with family and friends. I most look forward to continuing in my ministry work, watching and helping my grandchildren grow up to be responsible adults and traveling.
