60, East Palestine, OHI am a Byzantine Catholic who decade ago moved over to the "other lung," (to borrow JP II's terminology!) as I grew up in the Latin Rite. I still am very close to the Latin Rite, and have served for years as a volunteer at a Maronite Catholic Shrine; thus, I feel I have drunk deeply from much of the richness of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I am a Consulting Vice President for a national fundraising firm which focuses on Catholic entities -churches, schools, convents, etc. I also write for my Archdiocesan paper - reviewing books and writing articles. Voracious is a mild term to describe my reading habits, and I like to write also. Am comfortable taking in the symphony or the show and also in bowling alleys and firing ranges. I also very much enjoy being home -savoring a quiet evening. My folks are very important to me , as is my cat, who permits me to live with her! Also, I'm a dog lover, too, as I had three of them in past years. Languages also interest me - I speak German and can do well enough in French. Reasonably coherent in several Slavic languages also and can drop a few lines in some others... just enough to start a conversation I can't finish I suppose! I think humor is a precious medicine and find poise, sustained thought, communication and consideration to be vastly superior to other forms of problem solving and issue resolution.

65, Warren, OHAfter being away from the Ohio area for 30 years in Texas, I moved back home in 2011. I am glad to be back "home" and have settled into life here. The only thing missing is someone to share my life with. Although not blessed with any children of my own, I love my niece, nephew and 5 godchildren and have a wonderful relationship with them. In Texas, I was a corporate general manager for a water treatment company in the Houston area for over 20 years. I presently do volunteer work at the church, at meals on wheels, call bingo numbers at a dialysis clinic, plus various other volunteer jobs. I am very outgoing and am always looking to make new friends I love to travel locally or abroad. I also like casinos, theatre, concerts, movies and dining out. I also enjoy just staying home. Love to cook and bake. I am looking for someone to enjoy what life has to offer, as a friend or possibly more.

65, Streetsboro, OHMy Catholic faith is the most important thing in my life, but it is a struggle to keep life/faith balance in this secular world. I was blessed to have parents who loved me. They were my real heroes- both were WWII veterans ( recently passed) who had good values and tried to pass them on. I enjoy running in the park and have to get out there and experience the quiet and beauty of nature.
60, Ravenna, OHMunicipal paramedic, love my work. 63, Massillon, OHI'm an average 62 yr. old-- no exotic looks, very little make-up wearer, and do not dress trends. I sub-teach language arts , I volunteer at the VA hospital and St. Clement church. I am a Eucharistic Minister for Aultman Hospital in Canton. I also volunteer with county court for guardianship duties with incompetent and or indigent individuals. I would love to travel. I swim, exercize at the Y daily. 2 living children, 1 deceased 3/24/16, If you are reading this, please say a prayer for my recently deceased daughter, she was 38. Thank you. But, here's the deal... I'm reasonably intelligent. I like to discuss things... a lot, open discussion; not a debate, not a yelling match, just reasonable discussion. I am equal to a male, just different, as we all are. Looking at average lifespans, I have a decade or maybe two to bring some more good to this earth. I feel that the vehicle to do that is within working within the Catholic church, whether volunteer activities or church going and praying. I would really like to go north, living in the Toronto or Niagara Falls area would be ideal. I'd certainly consider anywhere a Catholic Church is close and the community that goes with it. I've always been comfortable more north than Ohio. But for a good person, a good partner, I'd go anywhere he was comfortable, except, I'd have to be near the Catholicism community-- that is my touchstone. I am self sufficient. I am looking for someone to complement (although compliment would be nice, too) me and become a team being. Am getting ready to give up. What is up? I really would like to be positive about this site...but...really? No one thinks I am worth ? I know better. Try pof.
