I'm an outgoing person with many friends and family who are important to me. I am secure in myself, but I'd really like to be able to share with someone special all the great stuff that life has to offer! I look for a man with a sense of humor...you just can't be too serious about life! I enjoy music and community theater - both as a participant and as an audience member! I'm active in my church - I sing in a contemporary Christian band at my parish. I like to hike in the woods, walk on the beach, and ski in the mountains - but I'm no expert skiier!

I'm very committed to my Catholic faith and my relationship with the Lord is the greatest priority in my life. I trust God to work through the Church and therefore I trust and respect the teachings of the Church as True. I receive tremendous joy from the sacraments available in the Catholic Church and I also find joy in serving others (like the children I teach at a private Catholic school). As Pope Benedict wrote about in his encyclical, God is Love, I have found that the more I love God the more in turn I love my neighbor and vice versa. I enjoy living a very active lifestyle which includes: hiking; bicycling; motorcycling; roller coasters; visiting museums, historical sites, and zoos; listening to music, live and recorded; camping; traveling; and trying new things. I have a diverse group of friends, but I most appreciate friends who draw me closer to God and make me a more virtuous person and want me to do the same for them.

I am handsome, intelligent and fairly fit and active for a man of my age group. I am retired from the federal government where I worked for 42 years. I was also in the Army for two years as a young man. I have grown children and grandchildren. I have a grand daughter at West Point of which I am very proud. I am interested in almost everything to some degree and still have a good deal of curiosity about everything. I enjoy taking small trips, riding my bike on any trail, watching old movies and listening to great crooners both men and women that sing the great american songbook. I like almost everything actually just some more than others. I have lived alone for over ten years now since my divorce. I have had a few relationships but they never went anywhere. I would like to get an annullment but honestly need some motivation. I like animals. Cats are my favorite but dogs too. I love the outdoors and nature. I love good comedy past and present. Like most people my age I have many good qualities and probably some annoying ones. You don't get to be into your 60"s without having some rust on the old chassis.:-) Anyway, if you are interested in getting to know me a little more please let me know.

My friends would tell you that I am honest, hard working, funny, playful, giving, and helpful. I am a man of absolute, unfailing integrity. I am intolerant of dishonesty from myself and others. I lead an active life. If I'm not working, I am out with my kids or my friends. Sitting home alone doesn't do much for me. I make my living in sales, and as a result, I'm outgoing and optimistic - confident but not arrogant. I love trying new things and I won't back down from a challenge. Music drives my spirit and fuels my soul. I NEED my iPod when I am out for a run. It's is loaded with a wide variety: Dave Matthews, Boz Scag, Frank Sinatra, Rush, John Mayer, ELO, Steely Dan, Queen, Michael Buble...you get the picture. I enjoy live music as well whenever I can. Although I travel regularly for work, I also like to hit the road for pleasure as well. I love going to Florida, the Caribbean, and Europe. I've been fortunate enough to have visited 10 countries and 46 states! I enjoy travel, and look forward to each new destination. I also like to take on new projects. My latest is dance lessons. Wanna join me?

I converted to Catholicism in 2010 after a series of life changing events. I feel very passionately about my Catholic Faith and am very active in my parish. I teach in my parish religion program, am a leader in a Christian scout-like organization for girls and I only substitute teach at Catholic schools. Given that my faith plays such a large role in my every day life, I feel it is essential that my future spouse be a practicing Catholic as well. I am a mom to a wonderful and active 8 year old girl. I feel that motherhood is one of the greatest gifts I have ever been given. I thank God every day that He chose me to be her mother. Being her only parent keeps me busy, but I make time to enjoy things for me, too. I like to spend time with my friends, watching a TV or just being outside. I play Pokemon Go as a reason to go outside my comfort zone, exploring parks in this area. I enjoy tent camping, but I am afraid to do that without the comfort of our scout-like group. By no means am I am expert at camping - totally far from it- but I love the peace and quiet of nature and enjoying the simplicity of God's creation. I love Disney World and vacation there at least once a year. I love the Harry Potter series (books and movies) and have gone to Universal Studios Orlando a couple times just for that. My favorite TV shows are The Big Bang Theory and Doctor Who. My late husband passed away when our daughter was 3 months old and I have raised her completely on my own since then. I know what is it like to have a wonderful and happy marriage. I was blessed with 9 years of being happily married. I know how short life can be and know that plans we once had don't always work out as we thought. I do plan for the future, but I try to enjoy the present as much as possible. I think the greatest gift we can give is time. Spend time making memories: laughing, talking, helping others. Because in the end, memories are all we really leave behind.

I enjoy the simple things in life and like to be active. I enjoy walking my dog, listening to the Reds on radio or TV, working out, eating a big breakfast on Sunday mornings, Bengals football, making homemade goetta, going to the driving range, whippy dip icecream cone, playing any backyard games with friends and family, listeing to christian music, Sunday morning mass, summer festivals, swimming, going to a park, eating at Smokey Bones restaurant, working in the yard, fixing things instead of throwing away, playing volleyball and basketball, working on home improvement projects and trying new things. My Mom and Dad have been the most influential people in my life. Growing up in a large Catholic family has been a wonderful experience. My eighth grade history teacher was an influence in my life. I enjoy true stories, history channel, Nova and non-fiction books. My favorite books are Frontiersman, Undaunted Courage and Unbroken. I like clean comedy.

Wow I thought that I would try this once. I am using this address to see what this thing is like. If it works out, I will be back under a real name. I do not know what else to say other than i am just filling up space to get to the character limit.

My wife died of brain cancer in 2009 after 22 years of marriage. Now that both my children are out of the house, I'm hoping to find some new interests instead of concentrating on fatherhood. I'm a quiet guy who enjoys reading, computers, movies, cooking, museums, theater, travel, and time with my family. I'm a dog person. I'm paranoid about giving my real birth date online, so I'm about a year and a half older than my profile says.
