Hi, my name is Tom. For too long my relationship with God and His Church was one of indifference. I had been brought up better than that, but I was stiff-necked and stubborn in my ways. When I returned home to care for my mother in her final battle with cancer, her prayerful acceptance of her situation caused me to rethink my life and led me to a change of heart (thanks, mom). As a result, I have been (re-)discovering the beauties and joys of our Faith, almost as a new convert would, things about which I had long forgotten. This is an exciting time for me.
Previously I was content to have just casual relationships. But now, as I mature in the Faith, I see that I would like to take a wife and raise a family, a family like the one in which I grew up. I am not sure what I am looking for in a wife, except to say that, however she got to the Faith, whether as a cradle Catholic, convert or returned Catholic like me, she needs to be as committed to it as I now am. I expect she will be an important part of my ultimately meriting Heaven as I would hope to return the favor to her.
I hope this doesn’t sound too serious. I think of myself as more light hearted than that. I love discussing psychology, philosophy, classical literature, baseball, rafting and all sorts of things and I also love spinning tales. Perhaps you are passionate about something. Drop me a line and let’s see if we can get a discussion going.
