I'm a simple man, I like peaceful Sunday mornings, I like dogs over cats, I like going to daily mass, I like epic movies, i.e. Gladiator, Braveheart, Forest Gump, Lord of the RIngs etc. I like to read, CS Lewis and GK Chesterton are some of my favs, right now I'm working on the heavier reads, like Dostoyevsky. I like get togethers with close friends, have good brew and a pipe, or good scotch. I like steak and lamb chops, those are my favourite foods.
The people who have been most influential in my life, two of my best friends come to mind, they are influential to me because he live life deeply, they taught me life is not about how long you live, but the intensity you loved, and to live life boldly. In my leisure time, I enjoy physical activities, hiking, martial arts, working out. Now and again I enjoy music and theatre, whenever there're good plays I always go with friends, the last musical I saw was 'into the woods' it was alright :-P
Most of all, I am here is because I want to have a family one day and live out the vocation of marriage, to me it is important to find someone who believes the same. The goal in this life is to get to be with God one day and become a saint, and I really believe the vocation of marriage for me is the primary way to live out that love. My favourite mysteries are the sorrowful mysteries, because it speaks to me the most about the depth of Gods love, Instead of telling me He loves me, He just does it in the most crazy way, crazy love is the best way I describe Gods Love for me.
My favourite Gospel is the Gospel of John, I find it to be the most poetic, you see, hear and feel Jesus. The first verses of Johns Gospel makes my heart beat fast, because it makes me realize how far he had to come to save us and how lowly he chose to become out of love.
The eucharist still blows my mind after all these years, that God gives Himself to us as food for our soul (mind blown), second to that is the sacrament of reconciliation, mind blowing, truly. Babies blows my mind, I like babies, they're so small, but everything is here, a body, a spirit all in one little package. I don't have children yet, but when I do, I want to teach my sons how to shave, get a hair cut and dress properly, the male youth of today are clueless when it comes to grooming; as for daughters, well, thats her mothers job, I'd just love her.
