I love our Lord and our Catholic faith. I'm pretty easy going yet passionate about a number of topics, especially protecting our freedom of religion as well as other freedoms. I love to give and receive love and am a strong advocate of Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body. I love kids, as you would observe when I'm around my nieces. It didn't work out for me when I was married to have my own. Under the right circumstances, kids would be great, but first and foremost is finding the right woman with whom I would like to share the rest of my life. If you have kids, that's great. For it to work, I realize I must gain your kids love and respect, which entails time and love on my part. It's not necessary, but I'd love it if you enjoyed an occasional fishing trip with me. An ideal romantic time for me would be sitting next to a campfire on a cool full-moon star-lit night with the girl of my dreams wrapped in my arms. We'd be talking about anything and everything and sometimes nothing while we stared at the stars. I definitely enjoy time at the resort as well. If it makes a difference, I enjoy fishing and hunting (most hunting is with a bow). Even though I'm cutting out the middle man, it makes zero economic sense, but I get much satisfaction from the hunt and cooking up a good meal direct from the land with which God graced us. I certainly don't expect you to enjoy hunting but if God chooses to bless me with a bride, I need her to accept this part of me. In July '09, I moved from Oregon to Alaska for a new job and adventure. It wasn't too difficult since I always wanted to see Alaska. I never thought I'd be moving there, but God gave me a great experience with meeting new friends and seeing some of the most amazing creation on Earth. However, in Aug, 2010, he decided to bring me back to the NW. My Alaska employer closed it's doors and I'm back in the NW with an even better job. Thank you God! May all of you looking for employment find relief soon.

I have a great passion for life and all it has to offer . I am an upbeat, thankful person & I try to find the blessing in every situation. My family and friends are very important and I enjoy these relationships. I have been fortunate to experience God's love and presence throughout my entire life. I feel as though I am perfectly flawed and have much to learn and experience on my journey. I am grateful for many blessings HE has bestowed on me and pray constantly for wisdom and forgiveness. I would describe myself as confident, honest, funny, intelligent, strong and compassionate. Life is too short and I want to share it with someone who loves God and Family, who finds the joy and brightness in life even when things seem dark, who enjoys laughing, and is comfortable both with quiet times and times of commotion. I'm always up to making new friends and would enjoy hearing from you soon.

I moved to the area this last summer for work. I like to go fishing and hiking. I have recently started drawing which has been a blast. I love being outside and active throughout the day. I like to see the good in people. I try to be the friend I would want to have. Its not always easy but then again thats probably part of the reason I try. I got most of my life together so far and would like to keep things moving forward.

I moved back to Portland two years ago but haven't met that someone special that I believe is out there. I have four grown children, three of which are in Portland. I am passionate about Grants Pass, the river running through it, the hills, trees, country, good weather,, and all the blessings here. • John, 59 from Portland, OR
    59, Portland, OR
In a nutshell, I am focused, with purpose and also like to do all things fun within my grasp. My biggest joys are family endeavors, watching and guiding my children so they may spread their wings, spend time with good friends, experience the good this world offers by God's grace, and give back more than I receive whenever possible - thanks to God's love. I am the oldest of three; I have one sister who is happily married 35 years and one brother who has never married. My parents were married 58 years; my father passed one year ago. I have been previously married, as recognized by civil law, divorced, and following discernment with the Catholic Church (now annulled) I am considered single and free to marry. Ultimately I would like to think that God willing I'm on this site in search of a woman I can spend the rest of my life with. This means that you should be able to marry in the Catholic Church ( if previously divorced, then have annulment discerned) and be open to the constant teachings of the Church in all matters.

Life is a gift from God un regalo De Dios. Without him I am nothing. Jesus is with us in our sacraments and the holy spirit come during mass to be with us in real presence. It is him who can make things possible.
