56, Forest Grove, ORMy greatest joy is using the talents that God gave me. I am the father of two great children, ages 24 and 28. My son is married and I have one granddaughter. I sing in church, leading the music at Mass. I run almost every day and direct road races. I am involved in a community theatre, as an actor and a set designer/builder. I am actively involved in my parish and the community beyond. I have a Master's Degree in Pastoral Ministry and am discerning if God is calling me to be a permanent deacon. I try to be a whole person, developing my body, mind and spirit. I have been running for 42 years. I read constantly, both books and magazines. I pray daily and read books on spirituality and theology (but also enjoy a good action movie). My Catholic faith is important to me. I love to tell stories and I have a great sense of humor. I believe in hard work, but love to play.
67, Medford, ORCatholic Revert after 46 years of searching and struggling to find what was available to me the entire time. Currently in my 10th year of recovery from alcoholism. My greatest signature strength is Spirituality and St. Francis is my model. Currently retired from Registered Nursing after 40 years and now coaching clergy and laity in spiritual transformational change. I have been divorced for 20 years and kept myself too busy with career and family for a relationship. It has alarmed me how many people do not accept the BIG 7 questions. If spiritual growth, maturity and grace are important in your life, we should talk. God bless you...James
22, Dundee, ORI am a licensed cosmetologist and love what I do! There's nothing like making your clients feel great about themselves after visiting the shop and that's really what being a hairdresser is all about. I'm a people-person and have a fun sense of humor, especially when my family get together. While I like to have adventures every now and then I'm not very athletic and I enjoy the quiet times. I come from a close family and absolutely adore my nephew and I love to take care of him who is now a year old. I was raised very conservative as well as strict in my traditional catholic beliefs; I am a firm believer in receiving communion by the tongue . In my spare time I love to draw, I hope to someday add more to my collection.
40, Portland, ORI'm an engineer pursuing a PhD in Computer Engineering and wrapping up my dissertation; this year I got hired in the Hi-Tech industry as full-time employee and relocated to the Pacific Northwest. I love technology and advancing on my career in the industry, and consider Steve Jobs one of my inspirational figures. I also like politics and world discussion topics, languages and interacting with people from different backgrounds and cultures. I enjoy hanging out with friends, going to West Coast Swing events, watching movies and listening rock/jazz.
37, Portland, ORI am passionate about growing in our faith, loving God's creation and serving Him. Learning about the lives of the saints have shape my views and understanding of life. I enjoy visiting and sightseeing God's creation ( park, mountains, forests..)
28, Eugene, ORMaybe it comes off as cliche on a Catholic platform, but what I am most passionate about is the teachings of Jesus Christ. One of my favorite authors Rachel Held Evans wrote about the Kingdom of God that he proclaimed, "One that belongs to the poor, and to the peacemakers, the merciful, and those who hunger and thirst for God. In this kingdom the people from the margins and the bottom rungs will be lifted up to places of honor, seated at the best spots at the table. This kingdom knows no geographic boundaries, no political parties, no single language or culture. It advances not through power and might, but through acts of love and joy and peace, missions of mercy and kindness and humility. This kingdom has arrived not with a trumpet's sound but with a baby's cries, not with the vanquishing of enemies but with the forgiving of them, not on the back of a warhorse but on the back of a donkey, not with triumph and a conquest, but with a death and a resurrection." To this day, I could die searching for this kingdom where weakness is a strength and hope is expectant. Family is also very important to me. I'm close to my family in terms of visits and communication, though, alas not in distance terms. But I always carry them with me in my heart. What they think matters to me. Even when I have relatives who are difficult, I think it is a grace to be able to learn how to show love and courtesy. I always think that if I got married, I would like a big Catholic family. Dr. Gregory Popcak and his wife Lisa have written a lot about attachment parenting and Catholic parenting; a family centered on faith and togetherness. I would like that. I like going on little adventures. I love hikes, picnics, finding magical places to visit, exploring national forests, combing through seashores and lakeshores, camping, exploring unfamiliar towns. Right now, I just have two cats who are very dear to me. Animals give me a great sense of joy. The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 2416) states, "Animals are God's creatures. He surrounds them with his providential care. By their mere existence they bless him and give him glory. Thus men owe them kindness. We should recall the gentleness with which saints like St. Francis of Assisi or St. Philip Neri treated animals." I believe this and take it to heart. This is why "All Creatures of Our God and King" is my favorite hymn. It is why I started a vegan diet and found a love of plant-based cooking.
57, Beaverton, ORWelcome to my profile page. As strange as it has felt to develop a profile page, I will be the first to say it is also fantastic that CM exists! It would be challenging to find the kind of man I want to give my heart to anywhere else. I don't mind spontaneity and I am a flexible person that knows how to bounce. I love Jesus and strive to do his will by following the promptings of the Holy Spirit each day. I like to walk and talk or ride a bike with others as often as the opportunity presents itself. I enjoy showing hospitality, but also going out to a restaurant. I like to read, exercise, volunteer and spend time with family and friends in a variety of activities. Traveling and exploring new places is a favorite past time. I have been so blessed to work with youth and attend youth conferences, retreats and mission trips over the past three years and am transitioning back to an elementary classroom this fall which is offering a more structured schedule. I have five beautiful children (greatest blessings indeed), all of them adults now; the youngest just started college. I am grateful that I have been able to work, alongside being a mother. I pray that if a dating relationship is meant to be, that God will make it very evident and that, the man I feel God has led me to and my five children will all "hit it off" in such a grand way that blessings would abound for all! I am more traditional in wanting the man to take the lead, but I have been encouraged to reach out myself in the online dating world if someone's profile sparks my interest.
