I have a 29 year old daughter and three sons (27, 20 and 20). By the grace of God and the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes, my oldest son has been healed of serious health issues. My twins graduated from Pittsburgh Central Catholic in 2011 and are now juniors at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA (Go Bearcats!!). Since the boys left for school I have some free time to ride my '83 Honda! I love outdoor activities like camping, hiking, canoeing and fishing. I visited Lourdes in 2004 and 2008 and am hoping to go to Rome for the canonization of John Paul II in October.

Thanks for taking the time to browse my profile. Well, I guess I will start with the basics. I am 6'2", about 200lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. I would consider myself out-going, down-to-earth, flexible, family-oriented, hard-working, generous, chivalrous, respectful, a good listener, adventurous, competitive and sports-minded(but not in a fanatical way), loyal, patient and sensitive. Love to laugh! I have a good sense of humor(sarcastic at times) and can laugh at myself, Lord knows I provide myself with material on a daily basis. I am conservative but can still go out and have a good time. I would take a nice restaurant over a bar any day. I enjoy the outdoors and taking in Gods' handiwork. I have an appreciation for the simple things in life whether it be a sunset, an evening walk through the snow or just relaxing watching the grass grow. I am also a Pittsburgh sports fan, lets go Steelers, Penguins & Pirates. I prefer to participate in sports/activities over watching them. However, I do enjoy watching talented athletes using their God-given talents to excel in their sport, Go Crosby! Oh, and by the way, I love kids, especially my 12 nephews and neices. I try to adhere to the KISS principle - Keep It Simple, Stupid (ah-ha and you thought I was refering to the rock band).

I strive to be a gentleman who is independent, self-assured and confident. My education came from textbooks and by experiences. I am committed to being a life-long learner. I know what life and faith are all about. I am able to laugh at myself (I laugh often). I am active in my parish, volunteering at festival and other events. I attend Mass every week and on Holy Days. Teaching 7th grade CCD can be a challenge at times, but it is very rewarding as I see students in this age begin to morph into young adults. Our parish is blessed to have such good parents and well-mannered young adults. For the past 8 years I have been teaching computer science at the post-secondary level. What a fantastice experience seeing students succeed. When it comes to travel and vacations I used to enjoy big cities, now I prefer to explore the hidden secrets of America's small towns. I've traveled extensively outside of the US in the past on business. I prefer America--there is plenty to see and do right here in the US!

I leave the toilet seat up....However, for the right person I would gladly put it down :) Ok seriously, My faith is most important in my life as are my family and friends. I try to follow the teachings of the church as best I can. But no one is perfect surely I am not. I enjoy being outdoors. A walk in the park or just being out in the yard always makes me happy. I consider myself faithful, honest, fun, loving, respectful and always enjoy a good laugh. I'm not much for traveling these days but have been a few places in my life that I enjoyed. In my free time I really enjoy fixing things. Could be a chair, a lamp, the car, a computer. Doesn't matter what it is I always like to make the attempt to fix it. I am pretty laid back most of the time, easy to get along with but strong in my convictions. Spent most of my 20s having every minute of the day being filled with some sort of event or activity. I'm now more than ever stopping to smell the roses and trying to enjoy everyday at a slower pace.

I have a lot of energy and I work at a hotel and I find my job really interesting and something I`m into. I meet and make friends with different people from all over the world.I like to work alot of hours, doing various positions. I like to interact with people, and there`s rarely a dull moment. Sometimes it can be super chaotic though, LOL. I literally have endless stories that you will be amused by. I`m very much into makeup/cosmetics. I like to collect and inform myself about everything A to Z involving it. It`s a giant hobby and I view it as a creative way to express yourself. I am fascinated with politics and keep up to date on the latest daily. Daily would not even be accurate enough, more like hourly. 24/7, ha ha. It`s a super interest of mine. I find political correctness to be very troublesome and dangerous, and I`m pretty outspoken about it and my views, especially about being pro life. I believe in women`s rights like anyone who is sane, but I absolutely reject liberal feminism in every way possible. I`m very proud to be raised by a hard working dad and caring stay at home mom. I believe if you are a strong, confident, and hard working woman you don`t need to shout that from the roof tops and be obnoxious about it. You just are and you will be embody that if the shoe fits. In other words, I don`t believe women are victims and should not act like them. I`m Conservative and proud of that, no matter what anyone thinks. As a Catholic, it can be difficult to fit in the world of people who don`t seem to care too much about faith or God. For this, fitting in is not always easy. At times I get made fun of, but I would never trade my faith for approval from others. I would absolutely rather be alone than settle for toxic friendships or relationships. I would obviously like to have those things, but never as a need if dysfunction, constant chaos, and disrespect come along with the package. I`m very talkative, outgoing, and can get to know people quickly. I am going to be celibate till marriage and would like to practice natural family planning. My parents taught me why this is important and I`ve also realized on my own how important it is. Setting physical boundaries before dating is key. I`m very serious about that and will never be manipulated into doing something I know is not right. I was always taught to stand up for myself on that and will definitely do so. I`m hoping to find someone who thinks like me on this topic. P.S. Take my quiz!!!! :)

New to this online dating stuff but just wanted to see what was out there. I can be shy at first but open up once you get to know me. My job keeps me busy but I try to stay involved with my church as well. I'm looking for someone strong in their faith who can help me get to heaven.

Hi, I'm John. What you need to know about me, in no particular order: I'm a big Pittsburgh sports fan, especially ice hockey, because I played it competitively for most of my life. I love music; mostly different forms of Rock, and I was also in a touring rock band in my younger days (and no, you probably never heard of us haha). I love history, especially the Crusades, it's a huge passion of mine and I'm usually reading a history book about the Crusades on a daily basis. I'm a conservative republican, I watch the news, listen to talk radio, and keep up with current events and politics as much as I can. I do this mostly because I feel that it's important to stay informed. I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area and I'm looking for a Pittsburgh girl. I love it here and I never wanna leave the area. I'm not really a world traveler, but I have traveled around the country and Canada, somewhat. I'm more of a one vacation a year type of person, with a couple of weekend getaways sprinkled in. I'm more of a homebody. I prefer a quiet evening together, or dinner and a movie, as opposed to a "go go go" type of lifestyle or relationship. I've never been married, I don't have any kids, and I'm looking for the same in any potential match. I don't smoke or do drugs of any kind, I don't have tattoos or piercings, and I'm looking for the same in a woman.

Well, I am pretty much a laid back person. I am very passionate about music. My guitar is like part of my body. So music is a big part of my life. My children are and always will be the most important part of my life. I have 4 older children the youngest is 16. My Father was to me the most influential he was truly my best friend. I followed in his footsteps and joined the military which I spent almost 8 years in the US Navy. I enjoyed every minute of it. I love to golf when I get the time. Usually with my Brother and Sister. I also enjoy hanging out with friends, having a few beers watching football or hockey. I love camping and fishing, anything outdoors. I am open to anything that broadens my life in a positive way.

I consider myself blessed to be a practicing Roman Catholic and also blessed to be a professed member of the Secular Franciscan Order. I am looking forward to "adventures in retirement" in a few years ahead - God willing! My dear mother (deceased) and a few teachers , priests, and Franciscan friars have been very influential in guiding me on my life's journey. In my leisure time I enjoy listening to various types of music and also occasionally attending concerts, plays, and annually volunteering at the Pittsburgh Irish Festival. I am also a big fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins & Pirates along with several of the local college teams and do try to attend a limited number of their games every year. I also enjoy reading certain books and newspapers when time permits. Finally, i do enjoy traveling to new/different places, both domestic and foreign, and have been fortunate to participate in several pilgrimages to various famous holy and secular sights over the past 35 years. I also am honored to serve my Brothers and Sisters in Christ as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister at my parish in downtown Pittsburgh and also function as a Server at Mass when needed. I used to be a choir member for a number of years at my former parish in WV and still love to sing hymns and responses during mass these days (even if most folks around me choose to remain silent).

Dependable, loving, sensitive, sincere, humorous (often cynical), publicly/socially reserved/shy/self-conscious (introverted), hard-working project manager/engineer, very conservative (religious/political/sexual), very few close friends, quiet, tenacious, not "open" at first. (My political views are driven by Catholic social teaching.) I am physically fit, 5'11", 160-pound, father of 4 daughters. (28 - 34, all relocated, non-Catholic, one married.) Starting to gray. Not as "un-trustful and controlling" as temperament test might suggest. Way too conservative and Catholic/Christian for my extended family (all non-Catholic except my Godmother). I enjoy small town living, children, non-winter outdoor activities (fishing, biking, hiking, canoeing, occasional camping), "local" travel, comedy, woodworking/crafts, home improvement, vegetable gardening, Sunday naps, hockey, and classic rock-and-roll. I can cook. I'm happy, sometimes lonely. TV service was discontinued in Nov 2007 without regret. I hope to never again have to dance in public (except a slow dance). I am active in Knights of Columbus and Faith Formation (formerly "CCD"). Divorced in 1998; annulled in 1999. Unsuccessfully applied twice for the (Diocese of Greensburg) diaconate program late 2000s. I chaired a Pro-Life program ("Rosebud") where the local Knights of Columbus council partnered with a parish to financially support a woman that Birthright counseled to continue her "unplanned pregnancy" (April 2008 - Mar 2014) - Six abortions averted. I serve on a Catholic School and a Knight of Columbus fundraiser Board. Seeking: Seeking "strong"/brave, "local", faithful, Caucasian (including Latino and Oriental), conservative, physically fit, thin or average build Catholic woman, preferably 52 to 55 years old that enjoys outdoor activities and Church participation. Open to profession and children - I understand the challenges of marrying a single parent (from experience, situation not involving contact with the father). I was probably more fun before I became a responsible parent. (Must be 7 of 7 in "Faith/Doctrines" and practicing the faith.) I'm open to women initiating dates ("strong"/brave) - all of my first dates since my annulment were initiated by women (and I believe that they were their first dates since their divorce/annulment, too). I haven't successfully asked anyone to a first date since my wife, hence, I'm gun shy.
