Hi! I'm a member of your CatholicMatch support team. I became a member when I was 49, a few years after my husband of 26 years passed away. Although I was a bit hesitant about starting the dating process again after so many years, I was encouraged when I found CatholicMatch; I felt comfortable that I could focus on finding someone who shared my faith. After a little over a year, I found my match and we've been married now for over 7 years! Here's our Success Story: Generally, I am a very down to earth person. I enjoy quiet times at home in the country, cooking, gardening and visiting my grandkids in NM and CO whenever I can. I like the feel of a good book in my hands, and doing projects around the house.

I leave the toilet seat up....However, for the right person I would gladly put it down :) Ok seriously, My faith is most important in my life as are my family and friends. I try to follow the teachings of the church as best I can. But no one is perfect surely I am not. I enjoy being outdoors. A walk in the park or just being out in the yard always makes me happy. I consider myself faithful, honest, fun, loving, respectful and always enjoy a good laugh. I'm not much for traveling these days but have been a few places in my life that I enjoyed. In my free time I really enjoy fixing things. Could be a chair, a lamp, the car, a computer. Doesn't matter what it is I always like to make the attempt to fix it. I am pretty laid back most of the time, easy to get along with but strong in my convictions. Spent most of my 20s having every minute of the day being filled with some sort of event or activity. I'm now more than ever stopping to smell the roses and trying to enjoy everyday at a slower pace.

Highly intelligent, low maintenance, neat, very romantic, sympathetic, easy on the eyes, very tan in the summer, spontaneous, fun to be with, generous, kind. Looking for a lady. Someone confident in her own sexuality and able to convey that to her man through her glance, her smile, her kiss, her touch. But more importantly, someone who is intelligent, not arrogant or high-strung, and who has a great sense of humor.

Hey there, my name is Tony, and I'd probably like to meet you. I'm currently in school part-time to get my Masters Degree at Duquesne while I work full time as a data analyst for an insurance company. I spent some time in Ohio (it's super exciting there, trust me...), but I came back to Pittsburgh. I have the deepest voice you'll ever hear, and I guarantee you that it will catch you off guard - I'm always told I have a future in radio. I love the Pittsburgh sports teams, comedies, and trivia nights. Ask me about the time I "played" Minor League Baseball - that's always a fun story.

Well... I grew up in Pittsburgh, where I had the privilege of having some excellent teachers and mentors that both kept me active in the church, as well as the community. I studied sacred music in college, and (for a time) taught, as well as having worked for a local organbuilding firm helping to construct and install pipe organs across the Mid-Atlantic and Ohio Valley. Eventually, economics came to play, and, if a church must choose between fixing the organ or the boiler, well, the boiler ALWAYS wins. After a stint at a local trade school, I started working for the "winning team"--joining the largest boiler company in the region. I travel a fair amount (mostly day trips) and I've gotten to see some beautiful places, and meet many interesting people--but I am always eager to head home. I taught for the cantor institute of the Byzantine Catholic Archdiocese, and grew to have an appreciation of the Eastern liturgy. Though I grew up in (what is now known as) the Ordinary form of the Roman rite, I call the Extraordinary form home. I like a sense of the otherworldly in worship, and to depart the concerns of life and society for an hour or so, when I can. I assisted with music at the diocesan Extraordinary form community for a decade, serving (at various times) as organist, conductor, soloist, resident liturgist, and (more recently) itinerant singer. Work has prevented me from regularly attending rehearsals, so I departed the choir last winter. I work with training and leadership development for the Venturing program, and have a few hobbies: woodworking, gardening, reading, photography, music, writing, outdoor activities, and occasionally enjoy cooking. I never favored crowds, or noisy restaurants, but quiet walks or visits to museums, or even a drive I've often found enjoyable. I've traveled a good bit, but, always marvel at the wonders around me close to home. I thrive with close friends and small groups, but can take a bit to open up. I've been told I am charming, but, I invite you to form your OWN opinion.

I'm just a simple man walking on the road to Emmaus. If you've had sons in Scouting, then you know of the Scout Law, which I believe is the most effective distillation of Christian principles devised outside of any organized church. I try my best to live my life accordingly. My interests are many and varied, hence my 'name'. I enjoy being outdoors in God's creation, camping, hiking, canoeing, mowing the lawn. I enjoy being indoors, tiling my bathrooms, refinishing floors, woodworking, reading, and occasionally whipping up some chicken marsala ( the trick is to use authentic Sicilian Marsala, although a good Port wine will do) . If I was a superhero, I would call myself Retro-man. When I was a young man, men were gentleman. They escorted ladies, opened doors for them, seated them at a restaurant, and so much more. A real man treated his lady as though she were his queen, although he would not suffer to be treated as a slave. Any relationship is a partnership, and sometimes, compromise is necessary, but then, what is compromise but a win/win situation. Whatever happened to all of that? I love the Lord God, the creator and sustainer of life. Without Him, we are nothing. With Him, we are everything. I love our country, which Abraham Lincoln called "the last, best hope of Earth." Let us all strive to defend it. I love my family, for without family we are like tumbleweeds being blown across the prairie. Perhaps what I've just written sounds pompous, but the concepts are really very basic: service to God, service to country, service to family. I'm looking for a partner. A woman with whom together we can serve the Lord and grow in our understanding of Him. A woman who will stand not behind me or in front of me, nor above me or below me, but at my side, as a fully-vested partner, sharing laughter and tears, joy and sorrow, sickness and health. Thank you for wading through my ramblings. May the Lord's blessings rain down upon you ever so gently.

I have always enjoyed traveling but I do less these days. I have visited 10 foreign countries. I also enjoy genealogy research which I've done occasionally for the past 15 years and have developed a large collection of information. I love all major Pittsburgh sports. I enjoy reading the newspaper with my coffee in the fresh outdoor air. I walk in the early AM for exercise and go to aerobics classes. I frequently attend daily Mass. I love my Church and I do some volunteer work.
