47, Westerly, RIThank you for reading my profile. First and foremost, I am grateful for the gift of the Catholic faith. I have grown a lot in my love for Christ and His Church and want to grow more, hopefully with my husband at my side! Admittedly I am somewhat of a late-bloomer. But alas, finding a like-minded Catholic where there is mutual interest in this day and age is not easy. I have hope though. He will find me, or I will find him - with God's guidance. A big part of my growing love for the faith has been my attendance at the traditional Latin Mass every Sunday. I've been attending for years now, and it's easily the highlight of my week. The reverence and palpable sense of the sacred keep me coming back. Temperamentally speaking, I am melancholic/choleric, which is a pretty accurate description. I enjoy conversation on lots of topics from current events, politics and culture to history and philosophy, and of course the faith. There's nothing better than spending time with someone where the conversation is edifying, fun and flows naturally. I do enjoy the outdoors and like to keep fit. I prefer keeping it simple when it comes to activities - like being around my young niece and nephews, working outside in my mom's yard (whether gardening or mowing the lawn or stacking wood), exercising, cooking or reading on the patio with a glass of wine. Travel is definitely something I hope to do more of in the future - not alone though. As far as my family, my siblings and I were raised by amazing parents who were married 45 years. My father has since passed away (fittingly, on the feast day of St. Joseph), but left an example of courage, kindness, intellectual strength and a strong devotion to the Truth of the faith. I'm trying to follow his example. I have a great relationship with my mom who needs my help more and more these days. To date, I am blessed with 2 nieces and 7 nephews. Kids bring a joy to life that is contagious. I look forward to hearing from you!
62, Pascoag, RII am hard working, family oriented, patient, kind and compassionate. Very stable. Have a strong faith in God. I love the simple pleasures in life. I feel truly blessed each day and really try to stay positive. I have been described as "a gentleman," "handsome " and "cute." (I believe that the people who said those things had their glasses on.) In quiet , subtle ways I will make you laugh. I am ready to smile and give you a hug most of the time, however, there are times when we have to take things seriously and that is a time to listen and be compassionate and get done whatever needs to get done. I don't smoke, swear or drink to get drunk. A glass of wine, or two, on special occasions with friends is enough. I have been through some tough times in the past couple of years as I know a lot of you understand how a divorce can really set you back in many ways. I went through a period of just survival and then a time of getting things back in order and now I am really ready to start living life to it's fullest again. To me, living life to its fullest means living a life full of love. I have a very strong faith in God which has helped me immensely in the past couple of years. I believe that true peace and happiness begins from within - with our relationship with God. Sharing that peace and love with a special person is truly "HEAVEN ON EARTH." So, that is what I'm looking for. I wake up feeling good every day especially if I was able to exercise the day before. So, starting the day feeling good and feeling blessed and being thankful is a perfect way to enjoy doing just about anything. Please take the time to get to know me a little bit. I am sure that you will not be disappointed. I know that it is difficult for women on these sites because you have to be so cautious but, believe me - I'm harmless. I wish I could give you a list of references that would say the same. .
30, Newport, RII think I'm a pretty simple person. I don't have anything to hide, I don't have any drama in my life, and I don't need coffee to wake up or medication to be happy. I'm working full-time and am in school part time going for my M.B.A degree. Other than school/work, I like to go sit by the ocean and admire the view, walk on the cliffwalk, practice my cooking skills (because I need A LOT of practice), and hanging out with my sis and friends. I'll end this intro with one of my favorite quotes (taken from the classic tv show: The Wonder Years). It seems appropriate to share here: "All our young lives we search for someone to love. Someone who makes us complete. We choose partners and change partners. We dance to a song of heartbreak and hope....all the while wondering if somewhere, somehow, there's someone perfect who might be searching for us."
33, Newport, RIIt's a big world out there and it's worth seeing. I enjoy travel, art, culture and cuisine. I take my faith with me where ever I go. I believe in honor, virtue and love. Life is an adventure and I'm looking for some one to share an adventure with. I'm a New England transplant. I moved to Rhode Island back in April and am slowly settling into life here. Previously I was stationed in Iwakuni, Japan with the US Navy. I lived in Japan almost four years and loved every minute of it, but it's now time to adjust to living in the States again. Trust me, there is such thing as reverse culture shock! The site temperament test says I'm a melancholic-choleric. I've been told I'm more of a phlegmatic. Maybe because I have too much phlegm (ehhem). That was a bad joke. I have my father's sense of humor, dry, and a bit cheesy. I love Monte Python, a good pun and the ever elusive triple entendre, if that gives you an idea of my sense of humor. I should also mention that I smile like a trout! I'll be honest, having spent a fair amount of time on the other side of the world presented obvious challenges to making any relationship work, but I've never been one to shy away from a thing because it was difficult. The difficult things in life are the ones most worth doing. That said, I find introductions to be the most difficult. How do you introduce yourself to a perfect stranger based on a few photos and a couple paragraphs. If you know how please let me know. I promise I can continue a conversation from there.
52, North Smithfield, RIWelcome to a little window into my life. Thank you for your curiosity. I'm a sophisticated farm girl/artist from Oregon. I teach art at the high school level. College brought me to Rhode Island. I have been Catholic for 25 years. It was the single best decision I've made in my life. I am passionate about many things... my faith, my family, politics, nature, good health, and art. I keep myself busy but would like to have someone in my life to share life experiences with. I have four sons who tower over me. They have been helping me with my latest project. We have been building a house. It's been a great experience together with challenges and successes. We've all learned new skills which will be with us for a life time. Fortunately and unfortunately this project is almost finished. The next project will be something simpler...like learning to play an instrument.
53, Cranston, RII'm a traditional, giving, honest, family oriented person. The nest isn't empty, but they are all adults and doing good things. (2 finished college, one doing well in college). I'm looking for a woman to share life with. Someone whom I can bring happiness to and receive the same in return. Lets learn about each other and share a closeness where we both know we are truly important to each other.
64, Cumberland, RIDescribing myself is a challenge because I realize my description would be different from those who know me well. However, I think it's safe to say I'm loyal, respectful of other people's feelings, active, and I enjoy the simple things in life. One example would be seeing deer walking through my yard when I look out the kitchen window. I have a deep appreciation for what the good Lord had provided for me. I'm healthy, have a good life, great kids, nice job, good family and wonderful friends. I guess I'm an optimistic person. Intelligence in a man is most attractive to me. If he has a good heart and is kind and thoughtful, he's a keeper! Initially, physical appearance is somewhat important, but is not at the top of the list. I'm interested in the person. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile.
21, North Smithfield, RIHi! Thanks for stopping by. I'm a very enthusiastic, geeky person and I'm passionate about a lot of things, but my oddball family is most important to me. I also love music, drawing, writing, and getting way too invested in TV shows. Though I am a goofy person, I still enjoy just being quiet and relaxed sometimes, so it would be great to meet someone who understands and shares that. Last but not least, my faith is important to me. It is a beautiful and amazing faith, and even though I do struggle with it as everyone does, I could never live without it.
40, Providence, RII love (in no particular order) music, travel, cheese, learning new things, enjoying nature both on foot and in a car, children, chocolate, sports (both playing and watching), and wintertime I cannot live without air, water, food, and God. I like to laugh, to love, to be loved, to dream, and to hope.
19, Scituate, RII'm a single mother and student. I'm very close with my family. I'm studying to become an ASL interpreter. My son is most the most important person in my life and he inspires me to do better every day. Ask me anything, I'm an open book.
