However, if you want pleasing and intelligent conversation with plenty of quick-witted humor thrown in to keep you on your toes: don't mind someone who is walking a little slower than before; has a contagious laugh; loves to go to theatrical plays and movies; enjoys an adult beverage or two; and enjoys the beauty of the outdoors, you can contact me now. The dancing, and walks and cooking classes, and First Fridays, and Sculpture Walks, and Hockey/Football games (unless no steps to climb now)

With retirement rapidly approaching in a few months, I look forward to whatever adventures that may present. Several activities I currently engage in will still be very important to me. Those being taking care of my health through exercise and good nutrition, volunteering, bicycling, walking/hiking, theater, reading, home projects and maintaining good friendships. Others I hope to add would be daily Mass and daily Adoration. My faith is part of my daily life and is the most important area of my life. We are all composed of 3 facets: physically, emotional & spiritual. When the spiritual is healthy, the other two fall right into place. I live in a development of modest twin homes. An association provides lawn & snow removal services which allows me to come & go as I wish. Hopefully, out of some of the cold during the winter months. :) This, also, allows me more resources to share with those less fortunate. I am active as an Extraordinary Minister, Sacristan, Lector and weekly Adoration.

I am a widowed for less than a year and spent 54 years with my spouse, who I cared for during her illness and passed at home as we agreed. I retired in 2005 but have taken a part-time job recently to keep me and my mind active. I took the job without complete committment but needed a challenge and it has turned out to be a means of therapy for me. My family has been extremely supportive and have helped me immesley. I love them for being that way as they were taught. I am finding the need to have a person to visit with and share some things with. I would call it a friend. I have a travel trailer and hope to travel full time. It has been a lifetime goal of mine. I love to read, drink coffee, have some wine, watch sports, take pictures, walk in nature, spend at lot of time on the PC and be with my family. I find myself at this time in my life looking for some adventure and doing the things that I always wanted to do. Sort of like completing the "bucket list". Right now I don't feel like I want to be on this adverture alone and feel planning this dream with someone else would be the thing to do. You see I am still healing and am not completely sure that I should be doing this.

I'm an outdoors man. Hunting, fishing, farming, ranching and gardening. I also write stories and have self published a few books, mostly humorous. I like to dance, watch movies, play cards and take short trips exploring new areas. Anything horse related is also of interest as I still own two. 4h horse show and high school rodeo events are fun as I can watch the younger generations doing what I used to do. I like to visit. I have a good reputation in my community and can furnish online credibility as to who I am. 2016 is a leap year. Leap years, the gals are supposed to ask the guys. I sure won't be offended if a gal makes the first contact. I'm open to more friendships. One can always learn something new from another person. Friendship doesn't have to lead to a dating relationship unless both want it that way. Since I'm not a solo long distance traveler, dating anyone further than 150 miles from home is mostly improbably for me. I have a lot of irons in the fire and goals I want to accomplish this year, before i slow down.

I am a happy, caring female who enjoys being around others and having a good time...I love to laugh and be around people who are positive and have a good outlook on life! Some interests of mine include travel, reading, photography, and 60's music. I would like to meet someone who shares my strong commitment to Faith, Family, and Friends. Visiting my kids and grandkids in Portland, Minneapolis, Bloomington, Il, and here in Sioux Falls is very important to me. It would be so nice to meet someone to share good times with and to be there for each other when life throws some punches. I am pretty easy going, a little on the shy side until I get to know someone, and trustworthy.

I am a positive person who enjoys life every day. I love my work and consider it an honor to go there every day. My kids are all in the area and are very important to me. I love to travel and experience new places....near or far.I have lived in several states but have called SD home for about 15 years now. I like to be outside as much as possible. My dad was probably the most influential person in my life. He was an honest good man. I like to take long walks in the evenings with my beloved pooch!!

I am a person who really values my faith, when I was a kid (Long ago!!) I went to Mass because my parents said I had to, now I absolutely love to go to Mass and experience that peace. I love to have fun, laugh, play card/board games. I am very close to my family, we get together and always have a good time, I guess we all like to laugh!! I just really enjoy being around people!

What am I passionate about? Religion, Politics, Life as I knew it growing up in the Midwest. All poor things to be passionate about around a table full of liberals. I live in a small South Dakota town. I have my own home and my great dog, and that about keeps me busy. I spend time at the computer every day trying to keep up with the world situation. I am a Traditional Catholic, and say the Rosary every day. I often feel I have a lot to offer and am looking for a woman to share this with.

I have many passions in my life. My faith and my family of 5 daughters and their families are at the top of the list. Since my husband died 7 years ago, I've pursued several interests from throughout my life, such as writing poetry, joining a writing group, becoming involved with a small faith-sharing group and a contemplative prayer group, and reading in the area of astrophysics. I love to read in general and usually read a couple of books a week. My traveling abroad has included France and Italy, and I would like to do more. I like traveling in the U.S. also, which I can do in visiting my daughters in OR (2 of them) and Denver. I have another daughter in TX but have not yet visited her. Three years ago, I drove to west central MT for a vacation trip. My past careers have been teaching at the college level, directing the state food bank, executive director of the Hereditary Colon Cancer Association, and director of a small diocesan retreat center. I've come full circle in teaching by tutoring a couple of teenagers (they're both home schooled) and a woman in college, all of them in writing skills.

I'm not really sure how to even respond...being over 50 you'd like to think it would be about time to write that great novel on myself...yet, while they allow 950 characters there will probably a lot left over for someone else to utilize. I need to be honest; I've been out of the dating scene for some time, I need to be honest; there is a good chance the last time I had a date I more than likely had an 8-Track in my car and an old Nixon/Ford bumper sticker on the chrome. So needless to say the concept of internet dating is extremely alien to me.

I'm a country girl who appreciates life's simple pleasures. I enjoy a walk in the woods, listening to the coyotes at night, hearing bird song. A sense of humor is important to me.
