Salve! My name is Nick; which is Greek for "victory of the people!" If you're looking for a good, devout, Catholic man then you've come to the right profile. Scratch that, I'm definitely a sinner. But, I do try every day to live the virtuous life because, as St. Thomas Aquinas said, "happiness is secured through virtue." I love to read (particularly First Things magazine, biographies of the saints, and the news), watch football (SEAHAWKS!), play cards/board games (particularly Settlers of Catan and Risk), and argue (what can I say? I'm an attorney). My love language is gift giving; I will sometimes spend months trying to figure out the perfect gift to give someone for his/her birthday or Christmas. So know this: if I'm the guy for you, I know how to make you feel special.

Well, I was born in South Dakota, I grew up here, went to school here. After I graduated I joined the military and ventured outside the state. I saw some foreign places (countries). Learned many things. Worked hard at keeping my head down at the right times and with prayer, made it back here to the U.S. In 1993 I moved back to SD. Got a job, kept learning (still learning today). I'm hard-working, loyal, trustworthy, old-school raised, quiet n somewhat shy (after you get to know me, look out:). I listen more than I talk. If I have something to say, you'll hear it:) I try to be open-minded & non-judging. Chivalry is not dead. I'm the type of guy who opens doors for you to walk through. I'll open the car door for you to get in but not out. Influential People: My parents and grandparents were most influential in my life. Trying to teach whats important in life, taking me to church every Sunday and taught good work ethics. Since high school I've missed a lot of Holy Days, but did my best to get to church every Sunday. To pray and listen to the priests sermon. Leisure time?: In the summer time I like to spend it outside mowing my yard or someone else's, or cleaning up my house from the previous weeks daily after work laziness, going to Aberdeen for a grocery run and talking/socializing with anyone I know, meet for the first time or run into. Some days i'll help out friends & neighbors do a job they need to do. For the most part I try to make work fun, whether part of the work week or after the work day is done. I like going to movies, concerts, long or short walks, eateries, dance clubs, rodeos, fishing, biking, a lot more are great as well.

My life has been full and gratifying. I was married for 35 years and then divorced by a man who felt life wasn't fun any longer and that I must be the reason! I thought I would not be able to carryon as a single person and prayed for support from somewhere. I found it in a support group of friends who had similar experiences and with them was able to rebuild my life. I helped start a singles group at my church which has become known as Senior Catholic Singles! I spend time with my children and their families every summer on a family camping trip, I think we are going the Pickstown on the Missouri this year. We usually stay in SD and choose State Parks. I really enjoy this as I like to camp and having family around is a bonus! I also like to tend my flowers, cook, travel, fish and do craft projects. I have made a cool footstool from a tire and rope and a coffee table for the deck by rebuilding it and inserting broken dishes in mortar and then grouting stuff! I really enjoy repurposing items. I play Mexican Train Dominoes and am just learning to play pool. My home is a duplex, I live on one side and rent out the other... I sell Real Estate in SD for 9 months of the year to supplement my income and spend 3 months out of the year in AZ to recharge my batteries. I would like to have a man in my life who respects women and would like to share my life.

How Catholic Are You? Remember - it's not a contest. Little "c" catholic means Universal. So if you are working toward loving all people, everywhere, daily, on a universal basis, then I think that's great. If you are a moralistic rule-follower who looks down on those who aren't Catholic or Catholic-enough, change your thinking / change your direction AKA REPENT! God loves us....and 'he' is not always the biggest fan of religion...pretty sure about that one. And if we never meet, please consider the following: Read "The Human Condition" by Thomas Keating (3 hours, tops), "How To Love" by Anthony de Mello (this has the power to change you for the rest of this life), and "The Naked Now" by Richard Rohr, with is all about the power of the Sacrament of the Present Moment, which is age-old and yet desperately lacking in modern culture. There are only 2 world views: 1) Scarcity and Exclusivity and 2) Inclusivity and Abundance. Period. Good luck on your path... OK - Back to the normal intro: I like life and the people in it. I like places and seeing more of them. I like music and hearing new tunes. I like most things that are healthy and make me happy...and I don't like too many things that don't. If you've ever heard of Thomas Keating / Thomas Merton / Adyashanti / Anthony de Mello...we might have a fun conversation. Not necessary by any means, just cool.

Hi! Nice to meet you! I am a dedicated, sweet, and unique person who works taking care of adolescents in need of mental health care. I am passionate about my faith and am always striving to become a better Christian. I work towards being a good role model for my brother, younger cousins, god-daughter, and the teens I work with. Right now I am looking forward to seeing my brother graduate from college and going to a few weddings this summer and fall. Long term, I am looking forward to sharing my life with someone someday. I am always looking forward to something. One of my biggest role models would say, "Keep the faith. The best is yet to come". I truly believe it. I love my family so much. I'm not the best at talking about myself, so I'm going to try to show you the good qualities of myself by bragging about my family. My dad helped me form my faith, work ethic, the value of making every day count, and the beauty of the land around us. I inherited my love of animals, inner strength, faith, and caring nature from my mom. Both of my grandmas taught me about my faith, cooking, planning big meals, and the value of the little memories. My determination definitely comes from my grandpa. My cousins were my first friends, and I stay in contact with quite a few. My family is an important part of my life. They are not only there for the serious moments, but the fun ones too. I like being fairly close to be able to help out during emergencies and to come back for special events. The birth of my brother was the most influential experience in my life, because he was proof of God answering my prayers. The SD Governor's Camp and SD Ambassadors of Excellence Program made me come out of my shell and be more true to myself. Attending Steubenville of the Rockies impacted how I looked at and practiced my faith. Going to nursing school definitely changed the way I see the world. There is really no "typical" day or weekend off from work for me. Sometimes I really need to catch up on sleep and take care of my house. Other times, my friends will meet up for taking walks, swimming in the river, doing Piyo, checking out a local comedy show, going to a play, watching a movie, sharing a meal, or taking a mini-vacation. I have made some big trips to Seattle in the past year. I am heading to St. Paul and Santa Cruz, California this year for 2 of my best friends' weddings. Thank you for reading this! Feel free to contact me if you have questions or want to talk more!
