All of my immediate family members call this place home, as do my nieces and nephew, and I don't see any of them going anywhere anytime soon. It's not what I went to school for, but the place has treated me well and I've been lucky enough to meet and work with a lot of outstanding individuals. I had the opportunity to study in Austria for a semester and travel on the weekends. I remember being in awe in Switzerland, amazed at the beauty I found everywhere I looked. I was convinced that no atheists could live in Switzerland because the glorious lakes and picturesque snow-capped mountain peaks proclaim so clearly a Creator. My desire is that my life will also be a witness and a proclamation of God's living presence in this world. I'm not perfect, but I have a desire to pursue Beauty, Truth, and Goodness. I teach high school Theology and it causes me to grow daily. While I have a reserved nature around mere acquaintances, I enjoy deep conversations and quality time with friends. I have a desire for adventure and hope to travel more in the future. This past summer I walked El Camino de Santiago and I still find myself longing for those simple days. I enjoy reading and learning. Like my father, I can be incredibly stubborn. Like my mother, I can have a difficult time making decisions. I have a place in my heart for the pro-life movement and bioethics. You might find me speaking at length about the culture and its skewed perception of the dignity of the human person. You've been warned. :) I like homecooked meals, time with my family, kisses from my niece/nephews, cookbooks, aprons, classy books with built in bookmarks, writing in journals, star-filled summer nights, driving across the prairie, and challenging quotes. I look at each day as a new gift from God. Remembering He has the plan and not letting the worry and anxiety of everyday happenings make me forget that. My Catholic faith and identity are very important to me. It is in a way a part of my daily life, but not as must as it could be. That's part of our faith journey though, isn't it? So many things in life inspire me and make me motivated to live each day to the fullest. I'd consider myself a confident, well versed, thoughtful, driven, funny and a very family oriented person. I'm very passionate about my work and helping others, it is a big part of what I do and in the field of work that I am in. I teach, I coach and help lead a department of over 30 people. I am active in my church and volunteer on a regular basis. I really try to put the needs of others before my own as much as I can. Humility.... One of my favorite actions and weapons lol. With all that being said, God is my driving force and He has given me the gifts and graces to be who I am and work with Him in my corner at all times. He is my foundation! I hope that He will continue to guide me here as He has continually done throughout my life so far. I am a very fit and active person. I truly believe that being active and maintaining that type of lifestyle is healthy for the body, mind, and a relationship AND can be seen as a way for others to be encouraged and inspired by. I was a collegiate cross country/track athlete and I am still very active in that same fashion today. I love to run ha. I also dabble in almost any kind of activity and love some good competition. Basketball is actually my favorite sport. I also like being outside, weightlifting, traveling, and any kind of new adventure. Spontaneity is a beautiful thing. My family and friends are an essential part of my life and I spend as much time with them as I can. I have a wonderful family and have a two yr old niece and three month old nephew, both are adorable! I feel I have a lot to give and have a lot to offer a woman, I really do. I mean I grew up with three sisters ladies lol. I want what most women on here want and I am not afraid to say it. I have a passion for cars, everything from modifying them to actually racing them when I can. My goal is that my engineering degree takes me to a job designing cars or possibly areo space.
