Life sure can be a rocky road. Although I've encountered my share of bumps, I trust God to see me through. I'm looking for someone who has that same trust, and who has the same desire to serve God together as a trinity. Although I was never blessed with kids, I love the idea of sharing in the lives of yours. I love to cook and spend time with friends. I am an avid Texas Longhorns and Astros fan--I love to watch games in person and on TV. I love animals--my cat and dogs are a huge part of my life. I'm a faithful gal. I believe in honesty and being true through good times and challenging ones. It's the challenges in life that have the capacity to bring couples closer together and closer to God. What about you? Do you have the capacity to live and love and be "broken together" (borrowing lyrics from Casting Crowns)?

Okay, I am intelligent, educated, kind, articulate, engaged (in life, not to be married), intuitive, playful, successful, athletic, passionate, talented, skilled, attractive, clever, learned, witty, experienced, joyful, funny (in case you haven't noticed), devoutly Catholic Christian, and quite humble (no, really!). And although I am a long, long way from perfect, I don't, and I won't "settle," and I would expect that you would feel the same. In this my sixth+ decade of my God-given and graced life, I have come to the firm conclusion that I mostly enjoy the very simple things in life, that is, those things that contribute to uncomplicating our otherwise overly complicated lives---family, oceans, sunsets, friendships, vistas, rivers, the laughter of children, pets, sunrises, cool breezes, great meals, motorcycle rides, being in Hawaii, etc. At my current stage of life, although still a few years away from actual retirement, I am well along the way of retirement planning, with an intention to return to my childhood and previous home state of California as I have come to the firm conclusion that I really need to be close to the beach in order to be most happy and at peace (am wondering just how hard God is laughing at this one). Oh, and I am a very passionate defender and lover of all of our four-legged friends, so if you have "allergies" or specific feline or canine dislikes, there is probably no real need to reply. Okay, yeah, one more thing, I created what I think is a pretty good set of interview questions, so, if you dare, go ahead and answer them without undo trepidation or fear, as it's all in good fun---really.

This is not an easy thing to do. I enjoy fishing although I am not a very good one. Some people feed pigeons and I guess I feed fish. I try to be passionate about my faith. This is my second time attempting to introduce myself. The private school I attended (grades 4-8) had a great impact on me. It was an extremely small school that did not have the funds that a public school would have but in many ways it was much richer. My appreciation for the faith stemmed from this school. So basically I'm Catholic and I'm also a Ninja. I'm a Catholic Ninja.

I was born in Brenham and reared in Beasley, Texas. My father was from North Carolina of English descent, and my mother was from Fayetteville, Texas of Czech descent. My great grandfather even started the first Czech band in Texas (Baca Band), along with inventing Blue Bell ice cream. I am a country boy, although I work in Houston as a commercial real estate appraiser. My brother and I live in a house we own together in Beasley. I am an avid hunter and fisherman. I also love history, with my favorite periods being the middle ages, Tudor period, and US history between the Revolution against Britain and the War for Southern Independence. My father's family were colonial settlers in Virginia under the Virginia Company in 1620. I can trace my father's family (grandfather and grandmother both) back to Ragnar Lodbrock, which is the main character on the Vikings TV show on the History channel. Although not Scottish, I wear a mean kilt (with a red wig) at the Ren Fest every year. I actually look better in a kilt, but my friends talked me out of putting a picture herein. My mother's family were pioneer settlers of Texas in 1860. Along with my interest in History, is that of Church history. I am also well-versed in most Catholic doctrines, as I like to discuss with members of the Protestant faith. I am a pretty good cook, especially barbeque, wild game, and soups/stews. I used to travel quite a bit, but not as much now. I have been to the Czech Republic twice and all over the US, especially the south.

No more waiting until I feel financially ready or have lost more weight. A man shouldn't be alone and I know this romantic old fool could bring some joy into some woman's life. I pray all is well with you and want to be as open as possible right up front. I'm Hispanic, but grew up in a "Leave It to Beaver" type of family. English is my primary language, but wish I could speak Spanish better. I'm a very Conservative guy and an Army officer/vet from the Gulf War and see myself as very patriotic, and a strong believer in the Constitution. I'm deeply religious, but by no means perfect. I often wish I could be closer to God and even before getting married I thought of being a priest, but knew I really wanted children and felt that was my calling. I was married for about 28 years. My ex walked out on me and my 3 boys, but took my daughter ~4 yrs ago saying she just wasn't "happy". I told her I refused to give her a divorce as I didn't believe in them, as I married for life. She and her attorney let me know Texas is a No-Fault state and it only takes one person to file to get out of a marriage and they don't need a reason. I was the primary breadwinner and worked, sometimes up to 3 jobs so their mom could homeschool our 4 kids who all turned out absolutely wonderful. I don't like to lie and prefer someone who will be open with me and tell me the truth even when they think it will hurt me. I like being happy and wish the same for others. Having 4 kids, I was a Cub and Boy Scout Leader, as well as a coach for most every type of sport there was. I loved being with my kids and doing things with them. I watched Disney movies and anime with them for years and even though they are out of the house now, sometimes still watch them. I was one of the original computer gamers, I played "Pong" growing up and the kids used that to get me to keep playing all types of computer games with them though the years. Growing up, I didn't believe in dating a lot. The couple of girlfriends I did have, I stayed with for at least a year or two, usually until their dads thought we were getting too serious. My dream to marry a woman, have kids and grow old together didn't quite go as planned. I still would like to find a woman to develop a relationship with, to become friends first and after that, am definitely open to marriage. I hadn't planned on having/raising more kids, but if that was the desire of my mate, I really enjoyed raising mine, so I would welcome it.

I recently stepped out of the longest relationship I have ever had. Our lifestyles were just too different and marriage is not something I have ever wanted to rush into just because everyone is doing it. If I am to properly lead a family into this unsure world as husband or, God willing, a father I believe a solid spiritual foundation between two adults is essential.

I look forward to unwinding after a good day at work. I am passionate about great experiences and sharing those with the people that mean to most. A nice bottle of wine with a pleasant restaurant discovery can charge me for days. My father's been the anchor of the family and has been the most influential part of my life. I enjoy discovering new music, books, public radio and college football.

I love to do crafts and recently took woodworking classes. I love DIY projects. I am looking for someone to do stuff with on the weekends like going to movies, or just cooking, sports, hiking, etc. I grew up in Houston and went to Catholic schools my whole life - even through college. I work in higher ed now and love my job. I come from a big family (youngest of 8) and am very close with my brothers and their wives and kids, and my cousins. I have three children (17, 16 & 9). I live in The Woodlands, but work downtown. I like to stay engaged with my alumni organizations. I always try to have some project going at home and am working on making a French country table. I am looking to find someone who is kind, loyal and who can laugh. Social and political causes are important to me and I am committed to imparting an ethical code to my children. To that end, I am an active supporter of Texas Right to Life and the Houston Coalition for Life. My faith guides my politics and I am very confident in the teachings of the Church.

I have learned to embrace challenges and appreciate the graces and blessings that come from them. Being Catholic is important to me. I'd love to share my faith with someone who values their faith and can challenge me in mine. I'm an Aggie, a teacher, and a mom to 3 beautiful kids! I am independent, hard-working, outgoing, silly, sarcastic, and thoughtful. I love organizing, driving, traveling, spending time with family, going to football games (especially Aggie games), taking pictures, digital scrapbooking, being creative, cheeseburgers, and watching movies!

Would like to make friends and eventually meet someone on here. I like to go out and do activities most days, but also like being at home with family once in a while.
