64, Paris, TXI love historic ruins. I graduated with a World History and Geography major in secondary education from Oklahoma State University. I taught for over 15 years. & 7 years in alternative education with high school students in trouble with the law. Then I worked for the Library District in Las Vegas, NV as a children's Librarian. I have not always stayed in the Catholic church although I am a cradle Catholic. In fact I have never married in the Catholic church. I love studying the bible with a Catholic view. I love good fiction that can teach about people or places. I am an outdoor girl and would rather hike, garden and swim than clean house. I love adventures and dogs and large bodies of water. I don't want to grow old alone. As I am alone right now I keep busy with volunteer work as a Master Gardener and yoga and my big loving Bear dog. You can judge a person by the manners of their dog and mine is well mannered, loving, and protective. If God so desires I would like a husband to communicate and care for. I am a honest, hard-working, ethical worker who is proud of the quality of work and ideas she brings to the world around her. I was an outreach, children's librarian who had a lot of free rein to accomplish my mission of going into the schools to entice children to use the library either online or by walking through the door . I believed in what I did as I believe in marriage as a partnership and a job worth working on.. And I have had 2 marriages that failed. The first one was abusive and the good Lord got me out of there. The second marriage was to a good, kind man who loves the desert in Nevada while the desert was harmful to my spirit and soul. I am not a Las Vegas personality. We are friends and he is very far away and he is seriously dating someone. I was never married in the Catholic church although I was raised Roman Catholic in OKC. I am a homebody and want to create a cozy, comfortable home with a man who would share chores, laughs, tears and talk with a not bad looking woman. I am not a great cook but enjoy the kitchen and can read a recipe book and I need a high protein very low carb diet to keep fit. I pride myself on living within my means and this has been lean at times as you can imagine as a teacher and librarian. My name means gift from God.Thank you for reading and God bless.
69, Alto, TXRetired school teacher (second career); was in banking for many years before that. Decided to retire and enjoy life. I like plays, concerts, auctions, spontaneous traveling, weekend adventures, garage sales, fishing. Seems like I am always working on a project or two. My faith is very important to me. I feel that I am a easy to get along with type person. A bit on the quiet side until I get to know you. I can enjoy a night going to a concert or play but also at home on a cold winter night sipping a glass of wine in front of a fireplace talking on any subject with someone I want to be with for a lifetime.
62, Mount Pleasant, TXMy hobbies include experiencing other cultures, history and architecture. I love dogs and am curious about all animals. Like my dad, I enjoy quiet mornings with a good cup of coffee when the world is still. I cook with fresh herbs from my garden, and bake special desserts. I am especially fond of traveling and plan to do so often! I also love to go to anything LIVE! Ball games, concerts, the theater, horse races, celebrations, fireworks, you name it.
65, Hemphill, TXi get high on life. I need no drug to influence me. I enjoy meeting people. When I move into a new area I make it my point to go around and introduce myself. I think my most memorable experiences are when I encounter Christ in others. I enjoy studing. I am a convert. I took me several years to fully come to grips with the Catholic Faith. Since then I feel there is no other way.I have worked hard all my life. I only know one way and that is to give 120%.Because I have worked hard at physically demanding jobs I am paying the price. I do not move as well as I used to. my ankles give me problems, and consequently I had to have my left foot amputated. I am presently in a rehabilitation facility and will probably be here to at least two months. When asked what are my goals, I have one. That is to walk out of the facility. . I probably need to exercise more but sometimes I hurt. I love to cook and make a damm good Seafood Gumbo. I enjoy camping especially during the cold season. I usually do all the cooking then. I want to once again to have a camper trailer or motor home. I also was to get another motorcycle and a pontoon boat. I like to snuggle in the sleeping bag and it may shock you but I usually sleep in the buff. I like to help people. I have been nick named McIver because I can usually fix so many different things, I am inventive and have a strong nonsense side. I like to play and kid around. I have three sons all grown . My greatest fault is a lack of Patience especially when around children who do not have parents that value respect. I have grandchildren but have not been able to spend much time with them. Mostly my fault. one thing I do like and is a bit unusual an activity is dressing up in my clown outfit and tying balloons for the kids at the events for kids with special circumstances.I have NOT been successful in my selection of a soul Mate. If there is one common connection that has to be that there was premarital sex. The physical overrode the logic of determining if the relationship was sound. Also each one had issues with a personal relationship with God. They all seemed to think I was preaching to them.
72, San Augustine, TXI have been single for over 7 years. I was married for 42 years. I have two children over 18. I love to dance. Like most music except hard rock, not too much into opera or classical. My favorite is rock and roll and country and also enjoy jazz and Lousianna music. I am looking for a younger guy: prefer chocolate over vanilla if you get my drift. He should be neat, sweet, kind, honest, generous, romantic, likes to hug, kiss, hold hands and show affection in public. He should be in good shape with no major health problems and possibly into holistic medicine. .Needs to be financially stable with no major debt, except maybe a house loan or car.
70, Bullard, TXOriginally from Louisiana, living in Tyler, Texas as of 2010. Since my divorce I have been living with a sister. Her home is just a very short walk to Lake Palestine where we , when there is time, fish. I snag the lines, she cleans the catch. Ha! Of course being my age I have had many blessed moments and moments when I had to dry the tears from my eyes some. I grew up having a very loving and caring mother, father and brother and two sisters. My wish is to have the kind of life that involves the exclusiveness of a close, friendly relationship that may evolve into a much stronger loyal bond. Sometime in life the journey may be a rocky road and we have to make a detour to get on the path that was met for us. That path may be "long and winding " but may lead straight to the door that we should open. Is it you knocking on my door?In my leisure time I get exercise helping my sister garden as she has a large yard. I also like to dine out, dine in, go to movies, concerts, plays, look up trivial info on the internet with my iPad. Travel is high on my list. There is always something new to learn and sometimes my curiosity develops into a new interest. There are several elderly and widows in our neighborhood and we help drive them to doctors, shopping, and everyday routine chores if and when needed. Our neighborhood is just right for walking and biking. Some days I do take advantage of a walk to sort things out. Although I like the outdoors I also enjoy having family and friends and neighbors to visit. (Perhaps for wine and dine or just simply appetizers; or just sitting on the porch watching the squirrels devour the bird seed in the feeders. Ha! Darn squirrels!)I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of New Orleans lifestyle and living in the area for all those years, still visit the city as if I were a tourist. I like to travel and at least once a year with a group of friends but this may not always be possible. We vacation a week or two someplace in the United States. 2002 I had a bone marrow stem cell transplant and subsequent dialysis treatments. Because of this, I am active as I have ever been and in good health and spirits. Have not dated in years. Suppose now anything goes. Meet at Wal-Mart? Just kidding!! Every person is diverse and it is difficult to briefly portray oneself in few words. We are all very special and have led different lives and everyone has a story to tell. Please tell me yours.

70, Lindale, TXIt's very easy for me to have conversations with strangers because,I love people. Everyone has a lesson or life experience that is interesting and that I can gain knowledge from. Use interstates when I travel, but prefer the countryside. Discovering towns and shops along the way. In December 2011, I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer with masses on my heart, lung, and right liver. I chose no chemo, radiation or surgery and, have more than enough tests to confirm I don't have any cancer. Natural health is my passion and one I will share with anyone who is truly committed to learning and becoming proactive about their health. My faith is strong and something I don't take lightly. The boys are grown with their families. I live far enough away if they need me, but also, far enough to live my own life. Love traveling, music,, theater, doing out of the way, different things. Bob and I were married for 49 years, ups and downs like any marriage, but we loved each other dearly. More ups and downs, lots of twists and turns.as I learn to be single. I just handle them as they come along. Guess I'm a little old fashioned, but I'm looking for someone who enjoys the company of a lady, likes someone who is affectionate, and won't smother me.

60, Paris, TXFriendship is the key to a good and lasting relationship, and I believe in one quote of the bible "What God has bind together let no man put asunder," I'm Asian in origin, was born and raised as Catholic. I'm still actively working and active in other activities. During my leisure time, I prefer to stay at home, and sometimes watch movie in the only local theater in our community. I hope I can find somebody who will like the idea of being friend first, and we will go from there.
