  • Cecilia, 56 from El Paso, TX
    56, El Paso, TX
I am originally from New York. I relocated to El Paso, Texas in Nov. of 1993 to be closer to my sister and her family. I am a caring and affectionate individual. I like quiet times such as reading a book as well as going out on the town seeing a movie and having dinner. I am a down to earth and practical person who is honest and speaks one's mind. I have been told that I am a jewel in the rough. Why not give me a try?
  • Kevin, 39 from Austin, TX
    39, Austin, TX
I'm looking for the woman who "captures" me...the one who makes me think, "How did I get that lucky?" If that sounds like you then let's talk...a big plus if you love to be active, read, discuss, and practice Martial arts.
  • Sean, 33 from Carrollton, TX
    33, Carrollton, TX
I am what one would consider a strange mix of personalities, a little nerdy, a bit of a geek, jock, outdoorsy, bookish, and business minded. I am fairly shy and slow to warm up, but once i get comfortable my sense of humor starts and laughs begin. For an example of my quirky humour, if you get these references you have a good idea. "tis only a flesh wound"..."....we're men...we're men in tights..." I am a somewhat recent refugee from southern CA and am at a place in my life trying to get a career rolling, meet someone, and begin moving forward with God's plan for me. I am looking to meet people and try to find God's match for me since trolling bars and such is not what I consider enjoyable. As mentioned I have a number of hobbies I enjoy. I hunt and camp, love gaming, sailing, as well as building and painting small collectibles, high school and college football, enjoy art, history, and cooking good food for people who enjoy it as well. Got a favorite book or genre, want to try something new, I love it. I could find fun in going out to a show, movie, or meal with friends or just sit at home under the stars with a good book and soft music or sitting round the table having a deep discussion with friends. I tend to be a bit of a thinker and a major bookworm.

I enjoy baseball, horticulture, animals, laughing, discussions(about anything). My parents have been extremely influential, especially spiritually. Hello! Thanks for stopping by and looking at my profile. I am new to this and really prefer the old way of doing things but well......... I just don't have the time and most of my friends are married so.... stepping out of the comfort zone to see if this could possibly work. I am a busy person but will make time for someone special to hang out, have fun and take a break from...... everything. We deserve it. Its tough out I am currently working towards a BS in Accounting online and also work full time. I am searching for the same thing everyone else is..... love, validation, happiness, and someone to share in the adventure known as life. Not sure what else to put on the whole about me section but if you have made it this far you could just ask. :)
  • Jillian, 25 from Houston, TX
    25, Houston, TX
My family, faith, and friends are my three priorities, and I'm looking to find someone to add to that equation. I love music, sports, game nights, hanging out by the pool, traveling, and nights on a patio listening to live music. I'm very easy-going and am just looking for someone just as laid back to enjoy the simple things!

I think that what is important at this stage of the game is not that we're looking to "start life over" but, rather, to take the hand of someone who doesn't mind laughing at life and situations that used to prompt us to feel one way and now encourage us to entertain another way of looking at it. We've all made mistakes but hopefully get a little better each time we stand up from our falls...

I am a happy optimist. To me, the glass is definitely on the full side. I love being with family and friends who celebrate life and relationships. I am told by many people that my sense of humor is one of my better virtues - treasuring the funny moments in life. My husband and I of 30 years raised 3 kids. My son is an electrician in Austin, and he is the dad to my two oldest grandchildren...Calvin is 3, and Samantha is 9. My daughter is a stay at home mom of 2 and a retired teacher, and youngest daughter is a sophomore at Texas A&M. She's still figuring out what she wants to do. My husband died 4 years ago. I love the beach and mountains. But being that I live in a valley, I enjoy my beautiful yard and swimming pool. Friends come over and barbecue and we just chill and talk about life and faith. My best friend and I will pull out our guitars and hammer out P&W. We're in a band together that plays for Masses 3 times per month. I am passionate about my faith! I love the hands on part as well as the studying or discussing aspects of it. I am the Confirmation and High School Youth Ministry Director and have been in the School of the Holy Spirit for nearly 20 years now (ever since my conversion and coming into the Catholic Church). One of the things that drew me to the Church is how she answers and explains so many of the "coincidences" in life. Looking back to my life "before", I am amazed how I could not have seen God in nature sooner. Or how the work of Jesus in people's lives is so evident now but I couldn't see it before my eyes were opened. I thank the Lord for His patience with me.
  • Debbie, 61 from Sugar Land, TX
    61, Sugar Land, TX
I am an independent Catholic woman who works for the Church. My faith is what has kept me grounded during difficult times in my life. I have a long "bucket list" of things I want to experience in life. Although I love the theater, museums and attending social events, I also am a homebody who enjoys just sitting around the house watching a football game. I am passionate about traveling, gardening and visiting antique shops. The highlight of my life have been getting my degree, trips to Europe and doing a tandem skydive. I would like to find companionship with someone who is open to different adventures.
  • Belen, 50 from El Paso, TX
    50, El Paso, TX
Hello, Thank you for reading my profile! I am on this site because I am looking for a relationship that could possibly lead to something long term. As I've gotten older my faith has become more important to me. I confess that when I was younger I did not nourish my faith as I do now. If I have to encourage you to go to mass or pray with me then perhaps I am not the one for you :-) I go to mass most Sunday mornings. I try to attend the 8:30 mass but can't seem to get there on time as I always want to do one more thing around the house before I leave. Luckily there is another church nearby that has a 9 am service so I usually go there. I love the ritual of mass; the stained glass, the altar, the cross, candles, stained glass windows and saints. I would like to drink the wine but I can't bring myself to put my mouth where 10 other people have put theirs. Is that bad to say? I wish it would be served in dixie cups; I'd be happy to bring my own. I make an effort to lead a healthy lifestyle but sometimes I have to eat pizza. And puffed Cheetos. And ice cream. I cook/prepare healthy foods. I recently tried to open a coconut but nearly amputated my finger. So I remain an amateur coconut opener. I have, however, mastered the art of de-seeding a pomegranate. I confess the pomegranate got in a few good blows and was in the lead but I am now its master. In my quest to be healthy I consistently work out 4 days a week. I do a combination of strength and cardio training. Shall I mention how I feel about camping? Camping to me is 3 people and 1 bathroom. I don't mind camping as long as I end up in a queen sized bed at the end of the day. With running water. And electricity. And a pomegranate :-) I enjoy hiking. I've been to many native american ruins in New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona and loved them all. No one has ever called me stubborn; getting my was is not a thing for me. Having peace and my partner's happiness is important. I like intellectual talk but I also like being dumb and silly. I enjoy museums, libraries, festivals, movies, plays, concerts, comedy clubs, Cirgue du Soleil, going to football and basketball games and listening to live music. Want to do things my partner wants to do. Have read and re-read my answers several times. Ok, going to hit Continue now...nervous...ok, I'm definitely going to do it now (pause)....yes, I'm ready now :-)
