  • Duane, 41 from Harper, TX
    41, Harper, TX
My name is Duane. I am a little shy when it comes to meeting girls but I do warm up quickly. I tend to be a little quiet. Sometimes my honesty comes across as brutally honest and in certain situations I speak my mind. I like an honest relationship without drama and games. I enjoy the outdoors. I was raised and still live in the country. I grew up farming and ranching and work from day light to after dark so I know how to work. I have a job so I don't work on the farm anymore. I have good morals, honest, trustworthy, and loyal with a big soft heart that I usually hide. Don't tell anyone but I love to cuddle. I have a good sense of humer and TRY not to take things to seriously. I like joking around and being sarcastic. I enjoy kneeboarding, hunting, riding my 4 wheeler, jet skies, swimming, relaxing watching tv while cuddling, playing 42 and pinochle. As you can see from my pictures I like to be active and play sports but I am limited in that area because I was in a car accident that crushed my back. I walk with a bit of a limp now and struggle with balance while standing still so I'm looking for someone that can see past that and enjoy the things that life has to offer. I am far from perfect and I make mistakes but I do try to be a good son, brother, uncle, & hopefully someday husband & father. I try to be a strong catholic and I do accept ALL the teachings of the church. I don't think we can just pick and choose which ones we like. I have two older sisters, one younger brother, with 7 nieces and 3 nephews that I love like they are my own. I have an awesome family that is very loving and supportive. I have great parents that have been married over 50 years now. I am very blessed. Thank you Lord!! Thank you for reading this far and I hope to hear from you. God Bless!

  • Emily, 37 from Dallas, TX
    37, Dallas, TX
Everyday I wake up thanking God for another day, another chance to do this thing we call life. Currently I am getting back into working out, doing scripture studies, and growing in my faith. I absolutely love to read!!! I find enjoyment and my happy place when I read a good book. I also like deep conversations on just about any topic and with any one. "Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body and prayer is to the soul." ~Matthew Kelly
  • Melissa, 36 from Houston, TX
    36, Houston, TX
From one of my favorite quotes, "Life itself is the proper binge" (Julia Child). :) Howdy! My name is Melissa and I'm a born and bred native Texan with family from both Texas and Louisiana. Sometime, I like to consider myself half and half as I love both places. I love to embrace both the Texan and Cajun in my family...and my friends love to remind me that my Southern Twang definitely identifies me as a Texan! LOL! Currently, I'm a high school culinary arts teacher, but in my previous profession, I was a Chef. I'm passionate about the food and restaurant industry and love spending time in the kitchen, experimenting and cooking for my friends and family. I stumbled on teaching as a career while still doing the "cheffing" thing, and fell in love! Seeing my kids achieve the heights that they do only makes me realize that I'm doing the career that God sent me to do. I wouldn't trade it for anything! Outside of work, I love to cook, but also love being outdoors, in the sunshine. Spending a weekend in Galveston, walking the beach, eating seafood, drinking a beer, and enjoying the companionship of others, sounds like the best way to spend my time! I've also picked up running again in the past few months and I'm thrilled to run my first 5K since 2013! Confident that I'll finish this time! When you think about who has been most influential, it would definitely be my Mother, Father and Grandfather. My mom has given me her love and passion for cooking and never made cooking seem like a chore! My dad has given me his love of books and reading is definitely a past time that I could never give up. I'm currently working my way through two novels at once, on top of reading recipes and student papers. :) My grandfather has given me his love of music, which I could not make it throughout the day without listening to some fantastic indie and alternative artists. Also, I can't leave out my love of sports! Give me a good college football or Astros baseball game any day of the week, and I'm a happy gal!! All in all, this is just me! A cook, teacher, beach bum, jogger, music enthusiast, and football/baseball fan. :)
  • Charles, 41 from Corpus Christi, TX
    41, Corpus Christi, TX
Hi! I am Charles here looking to find a true soul mate to love and be loved leading to marriage. The reason I am here on this website is that I am looking for someone who is really ardent about her Faith and family life, a devout Catholic woman. I believe I can find someone of that kind here. Being deeply religious is essential for a couple to be happy in married life, I believe, and it also helps both the spouses and the future generations attain eternal life in the kingdom of heaven. I come from a very devout Catholic family myself and grew up in an ardent catholic environment in schools in that I went to parochial schools where regimented discipline was maintained. I was also in a minor seminary for a couple of years during which time I had a very good formation of my religious life and discipline in life. As for my education, I have an MBA with a major in Marketing and a Master of Accountancy degree. Currently, I am preparing for the CPA exam, while working as a store manager. I love traveling, cooking, fishing, gardening and reading in my leisure time.

In "My Own Words"... Hmm... Let's see... Well, I've decided to RE-WRITE and REPLACE my original narrative... I does not cease to amaze me how USELESS this part of the "Profile" is to the VAST MAJORITY of the users of the online dating sites, it seems that people DO NOT READ, DO NOT REALIZE the MAGNITUDE of the THOUGHT PROCESS that some candidates put forth into writing a little about themselves, and as to INFORM what they have to "offer" as a partner/companion/soulmate... Trying to make their BEST 1st IMPRESSION they could ever come up with... Maybe, it is because NO ONE CARES anymore?!?... Personally, I do not know what the answer is, nor the reasoning for the "disinterest"... "Sign of the times...", I guess... One thing, I can say for myself, is that I DO read your profiles and unlike most other guys, I am not going to "tell you the RIGHT THINGS" so I can appear to match all of your requirements... That's too easy... I would like to believe that I fit your profile(s), but I feel like YOU should be the judge of that... Finally, I would ask you ladies-- please feel free to share with your male-acquaintances, as well --to have the Common Courtesy of acknowledging and replying: we ALL want the MOST HANDSOME, ATTRACTIVE, SMARTEST, FUNNIEST, WELL-MANNERED, EMOTIONALLY/FINANCIALLY SECURE PARTNER we can get our hands on, however for the ones of us-- whom are FAR FROM PERFECTION --we still have some glimmer of hope-- as well as our dignity --that one day, we will eventually find our life-long soulmates, because I firmly believe that no one deserves to live the rest of their lives alone... The feeling of emotional rejection/abandonment is one that I do not wish on anyone... Thank you for reading & reflecting I hope you find that "Special Someone" you are searching for...

I work for Anheuser Busch as a Marketing Manger in Fort Worth which I really enjoy. I am kind of a sports fanatic so I do watch a lot of sports. I love being around my family, going out with friends, and staying active by working out and playing soccer, but I also enjoy my lazy days catching up on my Netflix shows.

  • MJ, 37 from Kyle, TX
    37, Kyle, TX
I am a pediatric nurse. Family oriented and I love my work. I like bowling, going to the movies, festivals and animals. I have been called smart, funny, kind and loyal, a lover and a fighter, a romantic. I want to share my faith and love of God with someone patient and open minded. I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong and don't hold a grudge. I try not to sweat the small stuff and value cuddling on a rainy day as much as an unexpected road trip. I really don't know how to talk about myself. I feel like you have a much better idea of who someone is when you meet them. This texted stuff can be misconstrued. It all seems so serious, but I would just like to enjoy my time with someone and be able to make him laugh. Maybe dating won't be our thing, but I am always up for making friends. Ask me anything. I'm an open book.

I am passionate about God, family, and life! I love adventure, traveling, cooking, eating out, movies, walks , and also being home quietly with a book or a favorite TV show. I am neat and tidy, and I love fun surprises and am even tempered! By the way: A romantic guy is to be treasured, and I will do so!
