I am affectionate, sensitive, fun loving, understanding and sensual, reserved and shy, until you get to know me better. Please do not be offended if you do not get a written response as I am an unpaid member. Friends say I am a very warm, caring and loving person with a lot to offer. My ex-husband has since passed away. I am a 'giver' not a 'taker'. I am a good listener. I enjoy quiet evenings at home listening to most types of music/reading or going out for the night, or having an enjoyable time with family (both young and old) and friends. I love dancing, listening to music, walking, travelling, theatre, movies, cooking, reading. I am seeking someone who is prepared to take care of me as I will for him. I am seeking a gentleman who does not play mind games.

Whichever way you cut this, I guess it means 'spill the beans' time so I'm treating my can-opener with great care and attention on a tin which isn't too big ! Currently I am unattached and live alone in the West Midlands which I moved to from London 10 years ago to assist in caring for my elderly mother who has since died. I have 3 young adult children who still live in London making their own ways in life. I've worked in publishing and media finance for most of my career though currently putting something back by way of voluntary teaching. I enjoy helping people who are disadvantaged and have previously been involved with voluntary work teaching young adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. I'm fit, active, young at heart, enjoy outdoor life and particularly enjoy overseas travel. I enjoy the company of others - going to concerts, movies, the theatre etc. There's more which I'm always happy to share but, alas, the can opener appears to have jammed for the moment !

  • David, 68 from Hackney, GB
    68, Hackney, GB
I am a 68 yr old male with a very GSOH. I have a positive outlook and optimistic personality. I have always enjoyed trying new things and see life as a series of different opportunities and adventures. I have two married children and one grandson who all live in Kent. Although I have lived in London all my life I have a passion for travelling, seeing different cultures and meeting new people. I have been fortunate enough to have visited many countries and continents, having visited places including Vietnam, Colombia, Uzbekistan and Mongolia. My most recent trip was to Burma in July and Madrid in October. My other interests are walking, reading, going to the theatre and art galleries. In fact my love of art led me to attend picture framing classes, so in my free time I also enjoy picture framing. I like to keep fit and visit the gym regularly. I used to be a long distance runner until injury curtailed that hobby and have run the London Marathon 10 times. It was once a dream to run in the New York Marathon and even maybe travel the world taking part in different Marathons........ I believe it is also important to be fit mentally and so have just finished another Masters Degree in July and now have just embarked on a distance learning Degree in Belgium. I am a warm, generous and caring person. I teach in an inner London school and have done so for the past 40 years. I believe in the value of education and feel a deep commitment to giving back to society and playing a role in shaping tomorrow. When I retire I intend to do much more charity and volunteer work and look forward to the extra time that retirement will allow me to do this.
