Why are we here? Seems like a very intense subject. But I meant on this site. Ha, made you think for a moment. So yeah, I had my heart broken. But you know what? If it was broken it means it still works!!! Also means I'm still blessed to be alive. And walking upright. I was what I call "too involved" with my parish. Have scaled back a bit but am still involved. Does that make me some kind of "freak?" Hey, what's it like to be Catholic in Utah? Million dollar question for a lot of us. It is so much easier conversing with a Catholic. Try explaining RCIA, CCD, DDD and Knights of Columbus to your neighbor. And forget about asking: "Would you like a beer or something?" It's cool when I tell them Mass takes about an hour and I can go on Saturday.

I am a devout Catholic deeply in love with my faith. I am incurably curious and love to learn new things and explore all the wonders of God's creation. I am a voracious reader and seem to always have my nose in several books at a time. I enjoy all things beautiful whether it is a work of art, a score of music, or a dandelion growing out of a crack in the sidewalk. I believe in miracles found in everyday living and I am in awe of them. I do have my faults and I take ownership for them. I am always trying to improve myself and strive to become the saint God created me to be. You will often find me in line for Confession. (I'm a work in progress!) I am a down-to-earth, fun-loving kind of girl who loves to go on "adventures" and try new things. I tend to get restless if I am not outdoors playing. I love to travel and explore places I have never been, even if it is just a road trip out of town. Also, I have a great love for animals especially big, slobbery dogs. I am ridiculously romantic and affectionate. I am a firm believer in not just saying the words but showing them also. I was married for thirteen years and believe in the sanctity of a SACRAMENTAL marriage with my whole being. I never dreamed of being divorced, but I will pick up this cross and carry it. I am looking to first build a strong friendship. My annulment was finalized the summer of 2014.

I am a kind person. I enjoy many things life has to offer. Would love to meet a lady that is kind and thoughtful and would take me for me and not really try to change me as I would not try to change her. I have a good sense of humor and feel that a smile is always better than a frown.

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio; the third of four children. I moved to Salt Lake City to attend the graduate chemistry program at the University of Utah. Even though I've had to write about myself many times I still hate it to this day; but here goes nothing. I'm pretty easy going and just try to enjoy life. Whether that is staying at home or heading up into the mountains, it makes no difference to me. I enjoy hiking, biking, climbing, and hockey. My studying of science has definitely reinforced my belief in God. I guess I would say I'm old fashioned and family oriented (probably due to the strong Italian blood from my mom's side)

Hi. I am simple kinda girl, average in the eyes of many, but i believe that personality is what makes a person attractive. I am very close to my family as well as my friends. I grew up in a conservative catholic family who believes in a family that prays together stays together. I believe that God will give me the right man in His time, and when that time comes i will love him with all my heart, body and soul, and take care of him and our family. I love to laugh but I can be serious if situation calls for it. My faith is really imporant to me. Prayer I believe is very powerful and I always pray to God for guidance. I love life and i would like to share the laughter, pains and the overall beauty of it all with someone special...

Some thoughts above love: "Love can change things, rearrange things, - Oh, what strange things love can do!" From the 1954 Academy Award nominated song: The High and the Mighty However: "There is only one kind of love, but there are a thousand imitations." Francois VI, Duke de La Rochefoucauld, Prince of Marcillac (1613-1680), French Essayist. The Greek philosopher, Plato, said the following about romantic love: "Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back. Those who wish to sing always find a song. At the touch of a lover, everyone becomes a poet." Father Lawrence G. Lovasik, in the Catholic Family Handbook, defines love between a man and a woman as follows: "Genuine love is unselfish. Your love is selfish when you love your spouse for what he or she can give you by way of pleasure, convenience, or material advantages. Selfish love is one of the main reasons many marriages are unhappy and break up. Your love is unselfish when you love your spouse for his or her sake, for what you can give." Sexual Purity: As a devout Christian, I believe that God teaches us to engage in sexual intimacy only within the bond of holy matrimony.

Sweet by nature. Religiously confused. Searching. Librarian. Shelter dog owner -- Chihuahua. Overly educated with average abilities -- occasionally shine. Piano player. Lover of Jane Austen and Louisa May Alcott. Once had a pet Beta fish named Steinbeck who didn't make it after I took a trip to New York. Was the DaVinci exhibit at the Met worth the loss of my pet? I was broken-hearted. If I did it again, I would save the fish. Slightly over-the-top. This is me.
