I am a happily faithful Catholic woman, continually amazed and grateful for God's goodness to me. My days are full and they fly by, much too quickly. I am grateful to Our Lord for the love that He has bestowed on me, undeserving though I am. These have come to me in the form of my family, starting with my devoted parents; and wonderful friends I have made through the years. Many other unexpected blessings, too, which I will need to go into, in more detail as time goes by. Deo gratias!

East coast born and raised, west coast primed. I left Los Angeles in 2009 after 27 fun filled years to be near Mom and a few siblings. I have no children but welcome yours...plenty of nieces and nephews. Creative in all aspects of being & living, I thrive to make art, and on occasion movies with local film makers in Uta , Almost done at Weber State University, completing a B.F.A. and credential. Most of the week I am in class or studying, usually leaving weekends open. Well versed in a variety of topics, I enjoy good religious/spiritual conversations. I try to get to church as much as possible, try to stay out of politics although it has been overwhelming lately. A true believer in Christ, and a world beyond this one I am a strong Christian. My ideal mate should be a good kind, compassionate, be a good listener, have a great heart and be open to a great partnership should we click. I enjoy road trips, a simple night out and someone who will not simply text, but take a moment to say "hello". I want a friend first but the idea of romance would be an extra bonus.

I am a kind person. I enjoy many things life has to offer. Would love to meet a lady that is kind and thoughtful and would take me for me and not really try to change me as I would not try to change her. I have a good sense of humor and feel that a smile is always better than a frown.

I have converted to Catholicism and was baptized at the 2012 vigil. My journey was glorious. I am a widower 6+ years. Looking for the right person. My faith is a core part of who I am. I am theologically and morally conservative but on many political issues I am fairly liberal. I am looking for someone who is gentle and considerate, who can laugh at life but enjoys talking about the big questions. You can read about my conversion on under Mormon. You can also read about it in the Salt Lake Tribune April 23, 2012 and at August 31st 2012.

Just an ordinary person and being retired allows me to do activities that I enjoy. Grandparents and parents were most influential in my life. These things helped me keep a strong faith and positive outlook on everything. Traveling, plays, concerts, reading and gardening are a sample of things I enjoy in my leisure time.

Some thoughts above love: "Love can change things, rearrange things, - Oh, what strange things love can do!" From the 1954 Academy Award nominated song: The High and the Mighty However: "There is only one kind of love, but there are a thousand imitations." Francois VI, Duke de La Rochefoucauld, Prince of Marcillac (1613-1680), French Essayist. The Greek philosopher, Plato, said the following about romantic love: "Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back. Those who wish to sing always find a song. At the touch of a lover, everyone becomes a poet." Father Lawrence G. Lovasik, in the Catholic Family Handbook, defines love between a man and a woman as follows: "Genuine love is unselfish. Your love is selfish when you love your spouse for what he or she can give you by way of pleasure, convenience, or material advantages. Selfish love is one of the main reasons many marriages are unhappy and break up. Your love is unselfish when you love your spouse for his or her sake, for what you can give." Sexual Purity: As a devout Christian, I believe that God teaches us to engage in sexual intimacy only within the bond of holy matrimony.

I honestly didn't think retirement would be so busy. Settling here has opened up new friendships which are lots of fun. I'm volunteering and feel very rewarded for it. I'm looking forward to meeting a man that I would spend the rest of my life with. Honestly, respect and sincerity are some of the values that are important. I'm a people person but like to spend quiet time alone or with someone. I've been a widow for 11 yrs. Never settled anywhere because I was always visiting my grand kids of which there are 10 plus 1 in the oven! During the summer I road bike, hike, travel and play Pickle Ball outside. Now that there is snow I'll be skiing on blue-bird days. I still like the cold weather but enjoy a visit to the south.
