36, Helena, MTHi There, Fellow Catholics! My name is Jim - I've been a professional in education since 2006. I've taught on Indian Reservations around the state of Montana, I've worked as a paraeducator - bridging the gap between students with special learning needs and the world of mathematics, and I've taught at a prison for young girls. It has been quite a ride! I wouldn't trade any of it for the world - as ALL of my experiences, good AND bad, have contributed to the man I am today. In the last several years I have grown much closer to God. He and I have come to an understanding... more on that later! ;) I have learned lessons in thankfulness, and how it can actually help you through tough times. As much as I HAVE learned - I still have a long way to go! I am a work in progress, as I believe we all are. I seek my partner to share the journey, have fun, help each other cope through the rough patches and share in a life of servitude. You should also know: I have lived with Tourette Syndrome and OCD all my life - they have made me a better teacher and person all around, I believe. My faith is quite important to me - Pope Francis is one of my heroes, and seems to be the closest pope to following in Jesus' footsteps we've had in a while. I agree with The Church on many of its teachings - and disagree with it on just as many. I understand that there are a lot of conservative, "religious-right" members of The Catholic Church - and I am just as much Catholic as they are, BUT - I know there are others out there who feel as I do - and this profile is meant to speak to them, mostly. Here are my core beliefs - if you feel we agree on most of these things, hit me up. I believe priests should be allowed to marry the person they love - AND have children! I believe marriage can only be TRULY sacred when ALL of God's children are allowed to partake in the blesses sacrament. I believe in the sanctity of life from womb to tomb, but at the same time believe that the decision for an abortion is between the woman and God. But - for the times when it IS necessary, I think it should be safe & legal. I am also in favor of contraception, and am not about to judge people for partaking in pre-marital sex - I was raised that "what takes place between 2 consenting adults is none of my business." I'm also a very peaceful person - and try to be accepting of others, and not judge books by their covers - or judge another person until I've walked a mile (or two) in their shoes! :)
42, Madison, WII am easy going, enjoy pub trivia, sports, and poker. I have a part-time job dealing poker, full-time job is supply chain at a biotech. Packer and Badger fan, I usually get to a few UW football, hockey, and basketball games a year. Pop culture snob, I have very similar sensibilities to "The Hater", Amelie Gillete. Still miss her column in the onion, and now her Tolerability Index just recently ended too. At least the Gilmore Girls is coming back. I do golf; enjoy water sports, and snow ski. When out and about, I do like to have a few cigarettes while enjoying some cocktails. cheers, Pat
41, Tempe, AZSome words to live by: "If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? And if not now, when?" - Rabbi Hillel "Work is love made visible" - Khalil Gibran "Security does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing" - Helen Keller "If you hit a wrong note, it's the next note that you play that determines if it's good or bad" - Miles Davis
55, Davison, MII'm a fiery Irish gal who works as a social worker with the mentally ill for the county where I live. I am currently living in my own apartment and my two sons are grown and out on their own living wonderful lives. I have three granddaughters and they are all amazing little girls who have spirit like their grandma! I hold a bachelor's degree in Social Work from EMU and I also have a Master's Degree in Divinity. I was an ordained clergy in Methodist tradition before my son died in an accident and I lost my faith. I converted to Catholicism in 2000. I left the church for a few years due to our priest admitting to sexual abuse and tried to return to the faith almost a decade ago. I do not consider myself a devout Catholic and struggle to feel a sense of belonging. I do like to Lector but am not someone who joins a church. I have a friend and guide who is a priest and that is what keeps me around. I have a beautiful statue of Our Lady of Lourdes in my apartment. Sadly I was yelled at by a priest so that burned me and I haven't felt good in church since. I do attend another church but I don't have friends there. I have a panic disorder and sometimes have to leave Mass early. I'm too afraid of being hurt again to make friends. I go on Saturday afternoon or Sunday night when I can. I don't go weekly, sometimes I skip for a while if I'm too anxious to go. I do not smoke and do not want to be with someone who does but vaping is OK. I enjoy travel (went to Dublin Ireland for 5 days 3 years ago) and I am very extroverted. I love to socialize and love craft beer. I also enjoy reading my Kindle and Nook tablet, watching cable TV, and chatting online. I love TV forensic shows. I am a die hard Guinness beer fan and I love U of M football. I also love the beach, picnics, cooking, and writing in my blog. I have this dream of being a world famous blog author but I enjoy it regardless of who reads it. I am an immaculate housekeeper and collect lighthouses. All I need is a special someone to make my life complete. My annulment was approved by the Lansing Diocese in June of 2012. Message me and let's be friends.
55, Rockford, ILI'm young at heart, kind and quiet but not totally shy, like to go slow and steady when I meet people. I like doing things that entertain the mind- chess, card games, video games too. I have a laid back kind of attitude, but with strong emotional feelings - I enjoy thinking that the glass is half full. I stick to the mottm "life is good" belief.
38, Portland, ORI enjoy mass at st philip neri parish, although i miss the paulists. I am passionate about helping others and turning humanity's poor choices into positive ones. "Saving the world" just sounds too cheesy :) My grandfather is one hero, 40+ years sober when he died and would do anything he could to help another. My mom another hero, and we are close. In my leisure time I love the outdoors, wilderness - HIKING! This time of year getting back from a nice hike and cuddling up w/ a good book or movie and hot cup of coffee, chocolate etc. would be great...I love history and art, love museums, antique stores, vintage clothing, art, antique and vintage furniture... etc. I am big on organic food and am vegetarian too. I'd be ok w/ dating someone who was not vegetarian (as long as you accept my choice) but would really like someone who understands the importance of trying to do organic as much as possible and intentionally eating and living... It will probably take some time to really start to know me (I'm deep lol) but I think thats half the fun of finding someone. But to meet me once is not to really know me (at least 99.99% of the time). I have lots of "things" about me that may seem to some people like contradictions (like that I am a liberal Catholic - but hey just read some of the things our new Pope has said!) but when we talk about these "contradictions" you will probably see how it all fits together and makes sense. I am a critical thinker and think its healthy to question. 99% of people I get to know I stay friends with. I'll add more but just checking things out right now...
65, Flint, MII am passionate about making it a better world through my writing. I want to help young people realize that they do not need to commit suicide. One can have a life after being abused, and bullied. Chronic diseases can be overcome. Break-ins do not signal the end of the world. I love to read, and keep up with the world of politics. Pope Paul VI said politics is being intimately involved in your community, and your world. I agree. I like following pro sports teams from Detroit. U-M football and basketball are also passions of mine. My faith is my ticket to peace on earth and it also is a passageway to heaven. My catholic retreats (I have made two a year for thirty-five years have helped me recharge spiritually and I have benefited greatly from them. My family has been the most influential in my life. Teachers and friends have also had quite an impact on me. To sum up, I enjoy thanking and praising my Creator, Redeemer, Friend and Brother. I also love to write, read, work out, U-M and Detroit sports teams; respecting and loving family and friends.

29, Caloocan, PHI enjoy travelling and going to different places... to meet new people and learn their culture... but most importantly, I love travelling for a cause and sharing my gifts and blessings to others.
58, Troutdale, ORI would really like to try to find a partner who shares my deep comfort in the Mass. An unwanted divorce helped me learn the importance of keeping an open mind while staying true to one's own beliefs and needs. I am active, healthy, and would like to travel more. I tend my introverted self by reading and hiking and generally focusing on a quiet, peaceful existence of gratitude. I've been told I have a sometimes dark sense of humor; and I adore animals. My three daughters and I are close and I am fortunate that they appreciate their old mom. I'm not in any way conservative, so if you need that to be a thing in a partner, I'm probably not right for you. Finally, I am in the annulment process. It's important to me to be free to marry again, if it's God's will.
44, Budapest, HUAs I spend a lot of time in front of the computer in my work, so I like travelling and having fun in the nature in my free time. I lived in 3 countries, I really enjoy meeting new people and open the new culture.
