I think my friends would describe me as outgoing, fun, warm, and genuine. I enjoy spending my free time with good friends and family, reading a good book or watching a movie, cooking, listening to live music, or rooting on the home team at a game. I really enjoy this life and am excited for what God has planned next!

I hail from the sort-of-humble, forged-in-steel City of Champions (Pittsburgh, clearly!) and have found my current little niche in the D.C. area. Stupid puns make me giggle. I like most people, swimming, biking, hiking, dancing, and the like. Once in a while I like to do races - running, swimming and triathlons, but only learned to swim in the past four years - and now I can't get enough! A desire for volunteering has landed me in Peru twice and also around here doing various things. I'm also interested in learning more Spanish. And Arabic. I tend to think a lot. I don't often like to sit around doing nothing - I prefer getting out, traveling, "new adventures" and so forth, but can also sit quietly on a Friday evening with a good book and a glass of wine (or beer) now and then. I like to work on cars, but have a lot to learn and usually have a friend or two in tow because they know way more than I do. The temperament test thing seems to contain some strains of truth - I've been described as intense, sarcastic and opinionated. Personally, I don't think this is a bad thing. ;-) I am a cradle Catholic, never really strayed too far, but to say my faith is my rock would be an understatement (despite occasional evidence insinuating the contrary...)! Lately I have totally fallen in love with the Eastern Liturgy, so bonus if you are into that or open to exploring that as well. Anyhoo, drop me a line!
  • Georgette, 36 from Alexandria, VA
    36, Alexandria, VA
I am a result and goal oriented person; strong willed and passionate. I enjoy mostly all kinds of movie genres, except thrillers. Aside from constantly trying to build on my own education, I work at motivating the students I teach to be passionate about their education as well. Family is very important to me. I owe a great deal of my success to two great women in my life, my grandmother and mother. Outdoor activities, such as walking on trails and visiting museums in DC are some hobbies of mine, but I am always open to trying new things, such as giving online dating a try : )
  • Linda, 25 from Alexandria, VA

I'm in my 20s, so I'm on the edge of a lot of possibilities. I graduated from Ave Maria University and moved to back to Northern Virginia. Right now I am working as a preschool teacher. In my free time I enjoy books, hikes, Netflix... and margaritas. I am also a Spartan Sprint finisher, so just little bit of a badass. I would go to see a horror movie with you if I got to hold onto you just a little bit, but it would probably scare me for the next month. Feel free to message me, I'd love to talk regardless of where it goes!
  • Megan, 32 from Alexandria, VA

Hello there! Allow me to introduce myself; I'm Megan. I originally hail from the great land of Wisconsin, spent a couple years in Phoenix, and have been in Northern VA for the past 5.5 years. Hobbies include brunch, hiking, watching the Packers and Brewers, and just general tomfoolery with my friends.

I'm at a good place in life, but have come to realize it would be better with the right person. Family and friends are very important to me. I come from a close family and fortunately they don't live too far away (western PA), so I get to visit often. I'm an uncle and love spending time with my nieces. In my spare time, I'm a big sports fan (especially baseball and hockey), so I enjoy attending or watching games. My brother and I are trying to visit a new baseball stadium each year. So, I'm open to suggestions. I don't play sports like I used to (my NBA career ended as quickly as it started), but I do try to keep active and exercise regulalry. I also read a lot, mostly history but lately more fiction.
  • Sissi, 33 from Alexandria, VA

Catholic by birth, I grew in faith. Today, I want to share my life with someone who shares the same values as me: the fear of God, love of family and friends.

Three things that I love (in no particular order): The Sacraments, Adventures, and good Christ-centered friendships. These are three things which have gotten me through the struggles and tough times and are a big part of what makes life awesome! Going out of one's comfort zone isn't always easy, but it can sometimes be incredibly rewarding! Whether its leading youth ministry, skydiving, sharing your faith journey with others, or public speaking, God has offered me so many cool challenges and experiences which have shaped how I view my calling here in this life. We are all called to holiness and I see the act of living in the present moment as being so central to that goal. Every second that we exist is an opportunity to seek God's will and make an impact on Creation! I love meeting new people and find a ton of joy in trying to make the day of a complete stranger. I work in a big city and have so many opportunities to spread God's gift of joy to me to the people I pass on the street or ride with on the bus/subway. I love creation and love exercise. God's gift of the outdoors is something I treasure deeply and I run/workout/play sports frequently. I was a track and field athlete and a rugby player in college and continue to play competitive sports whenever I get the chance! I love writing! I make no claims to any major accomplishments (although I have been published!) but I aspire to use my gifts and love of language to sometime contribute to the art that is literature. I love my family. :) We are a funky bunch and I come from a home-schooled family background. My siblings and I have great friendships and we do stuff together as often as possible (crazy huh? :D) Well! If you read this far, then I guess you must be really bored or really patient ;) in any event, hope you have a great day! God Bless! #allforjmj

I'm an ENFP who's finding myself a bit more introverted as I get older. However, I like surrounding myself with good friends, I appreciate joyful laughter, and I enjoy the peace of the great outdoors. Over the last few years, family has become increasingly important to me. I tend to prefer few, strong friendships/relationships over numerous, surface-level acquaintances. I just like to get to know people, their values, what drives them, and how they love. I'm constantly striving to be a better and stronger woman of God.
  • Laura, 31 from Alexandria, VA
    31, Alexandria, VA
St. Augustine wrote, "To fall in love with God is the greatest of all romances; to seek Him, the greatest adventure; to find Him, the greatest human achievement." If God wants me to be married ( . . . and I'm not really sure what God wants, but I don't have anything to lose by being online, although I find the idea of online dating kind of weird, to be honest . . . ), I am looking for a Catholic who wants to help me become as holy as I should be (lots and lots of work needed there!). The mutual sanctification of the spouses is a really important aspect of what marriage is supposed to be. I am a graduate of Christendom College (theology major, philosophy minor, Classical and Early Christian studies minor), and I am also a graduate of Mother of Divine Grace School. You get points if you have heard of these schools. :) For leisure time, I enjoy eating meals with close friends, or sitting around and talking. I appreciate discussing philosophy or theology with other people, or enjoying literature or art, especially classical music. I love to go walking and hiking. I am a cross-country skier.
  • Monica, 25 from Alexandria, VA
    25, Alexandria, VA
Born and raised in Tennessee and a southern girl at heart. I'm easy going and love to laugh, (I am the typical middle child.) Family means the world to me and I cannot wait to one day have a family of my own. While I'm only 25, I'm definitely an old soul. My faith is a part of my daily life and helps me cope with the heartbreaks of my job as a pediatric cardiac icu nurse. There's nothing that driving with the windows down, wind in your hair, and a good playlist can't fix. I love DIY projects (think building furniture) and like many women, I'm slightly obsessed with Joanna Gaines and HGTV's Fixer Upper. On the other hand, on any given fall Saturday, you'll find me watching college football. Roll Tide! I wish to always live my life with this in mind, "She was able to do more because she loved more."- St. Gregory the Great, on St. Scholastica.
