  • Adrienne, 33 from Arlington, VA
    33, Arlington, VA
The last few years have taken me from the Shenandoah boondocks, to Washington DC, to Rome, Italy and then back to the nation's capitol - and I've loved every second of it. After graduating with a degree in English Lit, I found myself immersed in the political area for a couple of years until I decided that it just wasn't my forte. Studying church communications in Rome eventually landed me a gig as a communications manager for a group at NASA--continuous proof that God does indeed work in mysterious ways. I love my work and the challenges that go along with it--every day is a crazy adventure worth fighting. I'm blessed to have an incredible family who keep me grounded, and a wonderful network of friends who keep me laughing and growing constantly. In sum, I'm a laid-back woman with a strong sense of adventure. I love experiencing new places and things, but am just as content to spend quality time at home cooking and chilling with friends. Traveling, bicycling, museums, music, and people-watching folks in coffee-shops with a book in hand are a few of my favorite things. Honest and down to earth, I'm searching for a man of integrity who has a realistic and balanced perspective on the world--and a strong hope and trust in Christ to go along with it.

I am a realistic optimist who loves life and seeks to get the most out of it every day. As I grow older, I am happy to say that I am gaining a deeper appreciation and love for my Catholic faith. I do realize what a gift it is! I would describe myself as an extroverted introvert. I do enjoy going out and being around people, but I find that I value solitude too. I have a bubbly personality and am almost always cheerful! For me, the glass is typically half full rather than half empty! I LOVE to laugh and truly believe that "A day without laughter is a day wasted". I am very traditional and family oriented! Though I have an advanced degree, God willing, I intend to pour myself into my husband and children. Whether it's working full time or staying at home full time, I am open to whatever the Lord wants of me and what my family needs at the time. Family first, always! Thanks for reading! God bless you! :)

  • David, 27 from Arlington, VA
    27, Arlington, VA
Hello, I am David. I am a proud Catholic. I am also conservative, pro-life and patriotic. I enjoyed studying engineering in college but my interests extend well beyond that to include religious studies, history and politics. As for a little bit about my faith formation, I have been raised Catholic but when I went off to a secular university, I really saw the need to be able to take much more ownership of my faith. I had always been compelled by the truth of the Gospels but saw a need to learn about my faith much more to actively defend it. At this time I began to take much more personal ownership of my faith by studying the Bible and Catechism and engaging in active discourse. I enjoyed sharing in Catholic faith and fellowship with students and priests involved with our campus's Newman Catholic Community. I am a very introspective (but not to say introverted) person. I think very much about comprehending a consistent worldview where Christ and his Church are (of course) at the center and gleans light upon various global, economic, political and personal questions. I think very much about my moral and spiritual obligations and try to figure out how I can best serve the greater glory of God. I am very conscious of my role within society and upon graduating college and after much prayer I decided to join the Navy as a Submariner which has been enormously rewarding. Within this all I want to keep myself open to the possibility that I may be called to a married life. Thank you for taking the time to read these words and I look forward to learning more about you. God Bless! Pax Christi, David

Just back after a hiatus, will update profile shortly (12/6/2016) I tend toward the creative side and like to be involved in activities in which people can participate. When I have parties they usually have some way for this to occur; whether it be a script reading, playing music by a fire pit, learning a dance or even a bean bag toss tournament going on while others just enjoy the night. Theology and spreading the faith is important to me. I recognize that we all have our different ways of doing this though. I work for a small national Catholic non-profit and am an RCIA director at a downtown DC parish, though I live in Virginia. I like being active and engaged more than hanging out at the house watching TV, though I do certainly enjoy watching a good flick occasionally and relaxing for a night in. Music is a big part of my routine. I've played guitar for 20 years or so, I play in praise - prayer groups a couple times a week. I find that if done well enough, people encounter God in the musical prayer form, and so I throw a lot of effort that way. I have been working on praise and worship songs for a bit. I'm kind of a DIYer when it comes to projects around the house. I definitely enjoy the home improvement stuff. I'm not a rich man though. If that is a particular value to you, you would probably do better for both our parts to look elsewhere. I am pretty laid back as well, and seem to have good timing with humor. I am looking for a relationship with a natural playfulness, good discussions and a creative spirituality that is hopeful. P.S. my temperament test says that I am sanguine, choleric. All my life I have tested as melancholic, phlegmatic. Go figure... I am pretty laid back, though engaged in a lot of initiatives. Couple of booklets, songwriting, voice lessons, RCIA, putting together a series of live events for singer-songwriters with hopefully recordings to come from it, and some efforts at fostering new prayer groups. Lots going on! :) I am comfortable with folks who are at peace with themselves and able to extend that to others.

  • Juancarlo, 37 from Arlington, VA
    37, Arlington, VA
I was born in El Salvador and I've been in the DC area for the last 16 years. I definitely like everything it has to offer: the variety of restaurants, the Shenandoah Valley, the nightlife and last but not least the museums and open spaces in the city. However, I enjoy traveling every opportunity that I get, especially if it involves going to a tropical beach. I also enjoy designing for technology in a daily basis, I believe that technology should make people's lives better by providing useful information and creating meaningful connections. If youd like to know more about me, say hi. I rather we chat, talk, engage in conversation to get to know each other instead of us reading through a long page in this section about each other.
