I'm kind, gentle, and easy-going ... yet I'm also dynamic and vivacious. Vibrantly creative, with a joyful nature, I've got a great sense of humor! Fun, for me, is a study in extremes - from the soothing rhythm of knitting needles to a wild ride on a speed boat. I love throwing parties, yet I truly enjoy quiet conversation, one-on-one. I'm loyal; devoted to those I love. I'm affectionate and romantic - substantial and meaningful relationship is required.

I was born & raised in a devout Roman Catholic home, and can honestly say I have never strayed from the Faith. I am passionate about my Faith, and live it to the best of my ability (let's face it, I AM human, and therefore prone to some slip-ups). Throughout my life, I have accomplished many things, but have so much more to do. My biggest loves, though, are my Faith, my God, and two children that I have the privilege of calling me Daddy!

Just back after a hiatus, will update profile shortly (12/6/2016) I tend toward the creative side and like to be involved in activities in which people can participate. When I have parties they usually have some way for this to occur; whether it be a script reading, playing music by a fire pit, learning a dance or even a bean bag toss tournament going on while others just enjoy the night. Theology and spreading the faith is important to me. I recognize that we all have our different ways of doing this though. I work for a small national Catholic non-profit and am an RCIA director at a downtown DC parish, though I live in Virginia. I like being active and engaged more than hanging out at the house watching TV, though I do certainly enjoy watching a good flick occasionally and relaxing for a night in. Music is a big part of my routine. I've played guitar for 20 years or so, I play in praise - prayer groups a couple times a week. I find that if done well enough, people encounter God in the musical prayer form, and so I throw a lot of effort that way. I have been working on praise and worship songs for a bit. I'm kind of a DIYer when it comes to projects around the house. I definitely enjoy the home improvement stuff. I'm not a rich man though. If that is a particular value to you, you would probably do better for both our parts to look elsewhere. I am pretty laid back as well, and seem to have good timing with humor. I am looking for a relationship with a natural playfulness, good discussions and a creative spirituality that is hopeful. P.S. my temperament test says that I am sanguine, choleric. All my life I have tested as melancholic, phlegmatic. Go figure... I am pretty laid back, though engaged in a lot of initiatives. Couple of booklets, songwriting, voice lessons, RCIA, putting together a series of live events for singer-songwriters with hopefully recordings to come from it, and some efforts at fostering new prayer groups. Lots going on! :) I am comfortable with folks who are at peace with themselves and able to extend that to others.

I am shy and quiet for the most part, especially around new people. I have been trying to learn swing dancing so I went out a couple times with some family to a few themed dances. Learned how to swing dance and had a ton of fun dancing. I do love reading and have read all kinds of different books. I like listening to music and watching movies, once again my tastes are varied in both of these as well, to a point. I have recently picked up knitting and have had some fun with that, just starting to figure out crochet as well. My favorite animals are rabbits and birds. I kinda play the piano. I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities and friendly games of different sports, definitely not a pro or anything but just like to have fun. Growing up my family and I used to go to all kinds of places and visit historic homes since we were homeschooled, I feel it gave us freedom to really see alot of cool things. We play volleyball, softball, tennis, football, and basketball. We have gone skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, paddleboarding, tubing, ice skating, sledding, hiking, biking, rollerblading, riding rollercoasters, and just having fun.

I'm a Filipino young adult. I was born and raised catholic, but I didn't fall in love with my faith until college. I may not be the perfect catholic, but I try to strive for holiness even if it's hard to do that in this world. Never give up right? Other than the love of my faith, I am an introverted extrovert if that makes any sense. I love going on spontaneous adventures and travel, but at the same time, I enjoy "me" time or quiet time in between.

We cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love - Mother Teresa When it comes to our vocation in life our response to God's calling must be unselfish and begin with the belief that we must seek out our future spouse because we want their salvation through the love we have for them. God please help us to follow your path of love.

I enjoy reading and going to bookstores. In the Spring and Summer I think it's nice to go to pick-your-own farms in the area to get outdoors. I go into DC a few times a month on the weekend to go out to eat and see the museums.

First and foremost I consider myself an orthodox Catholic, adherent to the magisterium of the church (as much as life allows) and ever in awe and wonder at her traditions, most particular the Extraordinary form of the Roman Rite of the Holy Mass. I enjoy doing things myself as opposed to buying a ready-made solution, playing strategy board games, swing dancing, and simply hanging out with excellent friends. I would like to consider myself chivalrous after the knights of old. I spent two years in service of the Church teaching at a Catholic Mission in Central America. I have learned to brew my own beer and mead in honor of the monks of old, and am in the process of learning to make my own cheese. I dabble in woodcraft and used to play the trumpet avidly, which I am hoping to become proficient at once again. As much as I could ever hope to describe my essence, my soul in a small essay, I would advocate getting to know me in person. That would be a lifelong venture, one that in many ways I am still learning myself.

Like most people, I hate these descriptions. I hope the following works: 1. I'm very extroverted. 2. My policy on people is that everyone can teach me something, and I want to learn as much as I can from as many people as I can. 3. I'm always learning, and always improving. 4. I was quite athletic and into sports and lifting until I hurt me knee last year. Adjusting to that has been a challenge. 5. I work as a reporter and a public relations consultant.

Music, Faith, and a deep desire to make the world a less harsh, less evil place define who I am and what I try to do every day. In college, I was very privileged to study Music, and I hold three degrees in that field. I specialized in Music Theory and Composition and played trombone as my primary instrument. Today, I work as a Web Developer in Charlottesville, VA and remain active in Music by singing in the choir and cantoring at St. Thomas Aquinas. I also conducted the Gregorian Chant Schola at St. Thomas for three years. I have a deep love for the beauty of traditional liturgy (both Latin and vernacular) as well as the musical treasures of the Church, and I actively campaign for their restoration in the common practice of our Catholic Life. The reality of Beauty in God's creation has preserved my faith through the roughest of times. Communicating and living that Beauty in the liturgy stands as one of the chief duties of the Church in this world. Any small thing I can do to help fulfill that duty, whether by serving myself or helping others to serve, makes me feel like I am doing something to push back against the pain and darkness with which Satan tries to saddle the world. A thing that has really helped me in my life is something St. Augustine said. He said (roughly) that in a fallen world, God does not take the evil away, but He makes the evil less. I try to partner with God to make the evil less both by my musical life and by what I do in my working life. As a web developer, I create and maintain a tool that is used by over 250 people in my company every day--for several hours a day. By paying very careful attention to simple things like the placement of buttons or the progression of an onscreen workflow, I get to make this tool something easy to use rather than something oppressive and frustrating. (In my imagination, there is a committee in Hell that comes up with small, daily annoyances like clamshell packaging and doors that look like you should pull them when you should actually push. I like to conquer those annoyances in my work so that my colleagues won't go home and kick the dog at the end of the day.) In my personal life, I tend to be a hopeless romantic--but not a boyish or cheesy one. My ideal date would be dinner, drinks, conversation, and dancing (in my case probably a bit clumsily) to the timeless melodies of the Great American Songbook. If you think you would like the same, I would love to meet you.

I'm a full time graduate student, pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology, with a special focus on cognitive assessment. When I'm not plugging away at my dissertation or working at a psychiatric hospital, I enjoy spending time with my friends, playing guitar, and reading. I'm an introvert, in the sense that I find parties and group activities tiring; but, I've recently determined to develope my sociability. So far so good ;) .
