Gentle, kind, inquisitive man loves animals and the outdoors. Hiking and biking are two of my favorite outdoor activities. I enjoy concerts (the Wolf Trap is one of my favorites!), theater, music (classical to bluegrass), museums, dining at Thai and Indian restaurants, history, antique shows, reading, going to Barnes and Noble and foreign films. Travel is another one of my passions. In the past ten years my personal travels have taken me to five continents. These experiences have opened my eyes to the beauty of nature. I used my vacation to work as a volunteer business management specialist on projects in Zambia, Uganda, Bangladesh, Tanzania and Malawi. At the conclusion of my assignments in Zambia and Uganda, I spent ten days on a safari in remote areas of Botswana and four days on safari in western Uganda.

God has gifted me with a very creative mind, which I work to develop in many different areas: writing (film scripts and prose), filmmaking, and even game design (board games and RPGs). Though I haven't done too much film work lately, in college I earned the nickname "Cameraman" because of my dedication to the art. I love to dance. I specialize in swing dancing (I volunteered as an instructor during college), and enjoy Contra and ballroom dancing as well. I have a strong sense of chivalry, in the full sense of the word. Chivalry is much, much greater than just treating women with respect. It's about being a man, which necessarily includes treating women with respect. I also train in swordplay, and occasionally with polearms. For the most part I'm rather laid-back and easy to get along with. One of the first things people notice about me is how quiet I am, but if you get me started I can hold a conversation for hours. I may be an introvert, but I am quite social at the same time. I am honest but diplomatic, and loyal to my friends, family, and Faith beyond question.

I am outgoing, and polite woman. I am very respectful of others as this is how I would like to be treated. I enjoy hiking and camping, walking, going horseback riding, canoeing and bicycling. I look forward to meeting a gentleman who is kind, loving, faithful, humble, attends Mass and Reconciliation regularly. It is important to have one who is active in his Church, and lives his faith to the best of his ability trying to become as close to Jesus as he can, and has a good sense of humor. Pope John Paul II, Mother Theresa, Pope Benedict, and Pope Francis have been most influential in my life. I have 5 grown children, and 6 grandchildren, a step Granddaughter, and a baby Grandson on the way, due March 23, 2015. I enjoy attending Mass, doing Acts of Mercy for my parish, assisting the Food Bank and visiting and praying with and for the sick. I have great reverence of Mary. I have learned a lot about humility over the past few years, and I try to stay humble in all matters. I consider myself with a good sense of humor.

    63, Culpeper, VA
I have been working with mentally disabled clients since 1984. I enjoy helping others trying to have a better quality of life. I have been a parent of a minor child since 1973 and the last one graduates in May. I will truly be a single person for the first time as an adult. I am tired of being alone when everyone goes home to a spouse or significant other. I don't want to look at an empty rocking chair beside mine when the time comes. In the mean time I would like to share some memories with the person who will sit in that chair.

In a nutshell ... I'm a funny guy. I like making people laugh, I love a good dose of sarcasm, references, puns, and corny jokes. I like to volunteer where I can (especially with the Saint Vincent de Paul Society). I am incredibly determined/tenacious. I'm a big Star Trek fan, my favorite color is red, and cheesecake is my favorite dessert of all-time.

Hi, my name is Michael I just started teaching in Virginia. I moved here in July and I'm trying to meet new people. I enjoy sports I've played tennis, bowling, and ultimate Frisbee but I love my Pittsburgh sports teams, mostly the Pirates, I bleed black and gold. I haven't had much leisure time recently since I'm trying to figure out this teaching thing. My evenings consist of lesson plans and TV but the more time goes on it will get easier.
