Easy-going, down-to-earth, considerate, honest, dependable. Have a great sense of humor, but can never remember a joke! Intelligent, well educated and professional. Close to my family, thought they all live a long way away. Have a wide variety of interests. Love the outdoors and enjoy biking, tennis, swimming, skiing, hiking and camping. Also enjoy the arts and going to museums, theater, opera, movies, listening to a variety of music and reading. I exercise almost every day and like to stay in good physical shape but am not fanatical about it. I grew up in Northern Virginia but have lived in Dallas for 30 years. I just moved back here for a new job. Trying to get acquainted with the area again and find fun things to do.
  • Megan, 39 from McLean, VA
    39, McLean, VA
Hello, my name is Megan and I am a native of McLean, VA. I attended the U. of Notre Dame for undergrad and grad school, spent a year studying in France and after graduation decided to run away to Paris and become French...I had been there nearly 3 years when 9/11 happened, and I got unexpectedly homesick and returned to NoVA in 2002, and have been here ever since. My passions in life are reading and languages. For fun I like just about anything cultural - dance, theater, art museums - but I also like to just relax and hang out with friends and family. My faith, including all of the beautiful teachings of the Catholic church, is the center of my life.

I am a positive person--definitely a cup half full kinda attitude. I am patient, which is very important as I work with kids. I am the athletic director at an independent school. It can be a lot of hours, but i know I make a difference in their lives. For "fun" during the off-season, I coach a summer league swim team. Which I know may seem like work to others, but its not to me. I love every minute of it- the sun, the water, the laughter, and the craziness. I have some good friends and a great family that I am very close to. I am 1 of 5 and have 8 nephews/nieces and everyone lives near by so I get to spend lots of time with them. I am 50% Argentine as my mom is originally from there...and my dad is from the Midwest . It's definitely an interesting combination! Have you ever seen the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"? Well i can definitely relate! Not only can my family be loud & crazy, but growing up I attended an Argentine school every Saturday morning. So I am fluent in Spanish. I enjoy playing/watching/coaching sports, reading, board games, sudoku, movies, and am willing to try pretty much anything. My favorite sports to watch are college basketball (Duke!) and professional baseball (Orioles) & football (go pack go!). I enjoy swimming, bowling, playing basketball. I hate to run, but I do it anyways. I am a bit of a movie junkie, my favorites are action or romantic comedies. I enjoy going out and trying new restaurants & bars and consider myself a bit of a foodie.

I love the Church and I am eternally grateful to God for what He has done for me. He has changed my life for the better and saved me from many troubles. I grew up Catholic but did not realize the beauty of the Church until I was in college and a retreat opened my eyes. After that, I was moved to learn more about the Church and her teachings. I pray more now and it made me realize that I have to work harder and pray more to achieve salvation (and less Purgatory time!). I enjoy running, reading, walking my dog, watching movies, hanging out with friends, eating good food! I love to laugh! There are many things in this life that you can find humor in. My latest passion is running. I ran my first 10K last year and just did my first half marathon in September! It was awesome. I also love to travel!

I am a full time nanny and then some in the D.C./metropolitan area. I hate these self descriptions so let's have a real conversation and send me a message if you'd like to know more about me.
  • Toni, 61 from McLean, VA
    61, McLean, VA
I enjoy the company of others and like to attend many of the cultural happenings in the area, the museums and the lectures available around town etc! My hobbies are centered around art, being healthy and having fun. I enjoy traveling and would like to see more of America and Europe. I am happy, kind, intelligent, social, stable and sometimes spontaneous:) Being on my own for the last few years has given me the time to reflect on life and where the path will lead. "The only time to look back is to see how far I've come" makes me feel good about my future. What's missing? Sharing life. Looking for a one woman man who is honest and can communicate.
  • Remy-Christophe, 28 from McLean, VA
    28, McLean, VA
Born and raised in McLean, VA, a suburb of Washington, DC, to an eclectic and eccentric bunch that I'm proud to call my family, I love God, the Church, my family, my country, my state, my town, rugby, soccer, sailing, hiking, wine, cheese, languages, travel, good reads, good friends, and good conversation. I'm moving back to DC after a three-year absence during which I was doing development work in West Africa, and I couldn't be happier to back in the developed, Christian, Western world! After a few trysts with Catholic and not-so-Catholic girls that ended poorly due to irreconcilable differences in worldview, I'm looking for someone with whom I can share my happiness and exuberance about life and the future. I'm not saying I want to get married just now, but I want something solid upon which I can build, fully with the knowledge that marriage -- and children -- is on my horizon sometime in the not-too-distant future. P.S. Did I mention I'm ridiculously verbose? If I haven't yet, it'll definitely show in the following paragraphs. I apologize in advance if it feels like the essay portion of the SAT. In a masochistic way, I guess I kinda miss standardized testing. Since I always used to score really highly back then, I thought I might as well apply the same thinking here to obtain similar results ;)

Plan to expound more later, but for starters... Catholic all the way; I teach middle school and I am in my 17th year of doing so. I currently teach religion, math, and literature. I travel, mostly domestic travel these days, but I would go to Europe in a heartbeat; family relationships are paramount. I have 13 beautiful nieces and nephews who all have a particular place in my heart. I am the youngest of four--well six really, Mom lost two babies. My dear Mumma was taken back to the Good Lord just over five years ago. She was my first and best friend. I still miss her very much. I now understand what those who have lost a loved one say- "you never stop missing them, but you learn to live in the new normal that is life without them here on this earth." I also take joy in the hope that she is Home with her Jesus, and in the thought of one day being there with them! I love my family and though we are scattered all about the country, we are just a prayer, a phone call, and a Facebook chat away.
  • Ian, 20 from McLean, VA
    20, McLean, VA
Hi, I'm Ian. I'm 20 and have one younger brother. After taking a post-high school gap year to earn some money and show I can hold a job (check!), I'm currently in full time college planning to major in government. I'm doing this because I want to find a way to serve my country and community after I graduate. So who am I? I am someone who thinks that the most important things in life are my faith, my family (the one I was born into and the one I hope to have someday), and love for others. I try to keep things in that order, but nobody's perfect, right? I'm a lifelong New Englander, but I was born in the Bavarian Alps when my parents were stationed there, and I love that part of the world. I'm a proud Eagle Scout and love doing things in the outdoors in any season. I also love movies and live performances, especially musicals and operas. My favorite restaurants are Asian. I love sushi and the hibachi show never gets old. Perhaps my favorite thing to do is to share my interests, and explore new ones, with people I care about. I enjoy talking about current events, history, and books, and I also like to learn about what other people care about. I also savor a good joke or riddle. The cornier the better! Oh yeah, I also love to dance, so it would be great if you want to close down the dance floor with me.

Life seems to be a series of relationships. A relationship with God, family, friends, and so on. If we are lucky, the great relationships last many years and just keep getting better, deeper and more meaningful the older we get and the more collective experiences we share. Luckier still, when we keep adding new relationships to our life. Relationship building is the cornerstone of my work and the relationships with my boys now, 16 and 19 have been incredible blessings in my life. I enjoy spending time outdoors, when it's not terribly cold. I love to hike and walk. If I can't get out into nature or a fun urban neighborhood, walking in my community or on the track at my gym will do the trick. I have traveled some, but there are many more places I would like to visit. I enjoy short weekend getaways to the mountains or the beach but get really excited about travelling abroad. The whole process is fun for me from the planning stage onward. Want to join me on an adventure? I love indie and foreign films. Have you seen Les Innocence? Spirits Homecoming or Captain Fantastic? I also love the theatre and the symphony, but don't get to those as often. Live music of most sorts is always a pleasure.

Hello I am passionate about restoration, healing and recovery. I love finding out all the new discoveries in the mind/body/soul relationship. How a prayer life reduces stress or how wonderfully designed God made you and me. I try to put that passion in my work life. I look forward to incorporating many of these discoveries with clients. I enjoy good conversation, but I can get very silly too. Actually I think I lean towards silly more because that's what friends say. Your still here huh? That must be good. More later.

I have many passions in life and I would always like to develop more in the coming years. I am heavily involved in health and fitness and exercise is very important to me personally as well as professionally. I am a nutrition professional also which makes the food choices I make in my personal life very strict, yet I do not always eat clean. I like to see new places and new cities although I prefer to stay living in the DC area at least for the immediate future. I am very busy at the moment with work so I don't have time for many new hobbies but I plan to travel more and maybe learn a new language in the coming years. I am always open to sharing this new and exciting next chapter of my life with the right person.
