39, Occoquan, VAHello and thanks for stopping by! About me, I'm native to Northern VA and have been amazed by all of the changes that have taken place. Growing up, I thought that I would eventually move away but there're so many professional opportunities here and I've made a lot of friendships that I'm glad I stayed. If I had to describe myself, it would be loyal and personable. I'm easy to get along with and my circle of friends is always growing. I'm probably most happy when I can make everyone me around laugh. I definitely try to live by the adage of "Say what you mean and mean what you say". My closest friends would likely tell you that I'm the gentleman that you can bring home to meet your parents, though not in the Ben Stiller kind of way. :-) I decided to join Catholic Match for a couple of reasons: I am ready to start a new chapter (and new adventures!) in my life with someone special. But like most Washingtonians, I've a busy work life that doesn't leave a lot of time for meeting people outside of 9-5 hours. Also, I'm looking for someone to share my Catholic faith with. I would definitely like to start a family someday and it's important to me that this be within the Church. If you would like to know more, just ask. Thanks for reading and good luck!
61, Charlottesville, VAWho am I? Good question. I'm a woman filled with love for God looking for someone to spend the twilight years with. I have experienced much in my life already...ups and downs...as many of us do. I like to remember the ups and not worry about the downs. It is the downs that have strengthened me though so I am thankful for them. I wasn't always a practicing Catholic but am so thankful that God never left my side and brought me back so many years ago. It's hard to talk about oneself in this way, but would love to talk and share my past life experiences with you and God willing make new ones together.
23, Stafford, VAGod has blessed me with an amazing family, a college education, and an incredible career. Finding a soulmate who will help me continue towards Heaven is my ultimate goal.
28, Alexandria, VAI am a very relaxed, easy going guy. I enjoy craft beverages and board games. I like to spend my free time hanging out with friends at the local watering hole. I am very honest about things that are important, but I also love being sarcastic to help lighten up the mood. I would like to think I am very witty, but most of my jokes usually just revolve around puns. I enjoy being social and meeting new people. If you talk to me about craft beer or craft spirits, I will talk for hours. I am very comfortable around people and enjoy a good conversation. I am also extremely loyal, and loyalty is very important to me.
39, Virginia Beach, VALooking forward to the next phase in life....will be transitioning from military to civilian life soon. I'm passionate about art and cooking. I also volunteer with a few ministries at our church. I have lots of hobbies and interests, just ask. I have three small children and enjoy spending time with them...we are an active bunch- festivals, beach, parks, aquarium, shows, whatever! There have been many inspirational people that have influenced my life. To name a few: my grandmother, my high school coach, my Sunday school teacher, a former mentor and boss. All of them had incredible work ethic, overcame adversities, had strong love of God, and lived that love through how they treated others. My kids inspire me to do my best and be the best mom I can be each and every day. Each one is a precious, miraculous gift from God, and they deserve nothing less than Superwoman for a mom. I bring my 'A' game every day, and some days I may fall a little short (probably just expecting too much of myself), but I keep trying hard to do the best for them 24-7-365. Every day is a new challenge, the only easy day was yesterday! "Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some." Events that have influenced my life: birth of my children, two extended military deployments, a car accident, a specific mass on my last ship, times that I didnt succeed but tried again and reached my goals. Get to know me and I'm happy to share details of any of the above 'sea stories'.
35, Winchester, VAI am a simple, humble mid-west raised woman--out here on the East coast for about 8 years now. I can say that I love the blue ridge mountains and how spectacularly green it get here! I come from a large catholic family. I have four other siblings and I am the youngest. Raised by a hardworking father and mother, whom above all the amazing values they instilled in us--faith was of the highest importance. What a true and lasting gift to be able to give your children. Something that guides us through our lifetime and definitely has for myself. I was previously married and did not continue with that marriage because of adulatory on his behalf. Just thought it would be important to be forthright upfront. I do not have it annulled at this time but will be starting the process to do so. I do have a desire to get married again and pray that that special someone knows God well enough to never even think about abandoning their vows. I love food, cooking, and great wine. I like working out. Love trying new things and adventures. I believe in maintaining a healthy balance in everything in ones life. Too much of anything can be a bad thing. I love nutrition and practice healthy eating habits but would not deprive myself of something that I would like to enjoy from time to time. Right now, going to the Institute for integration nutrition to gain some knowledge in this area. I am a bit of a hopeless romantic and think that it is the little things in life that end up truly being the big things. I like plans but also think it great to do things on a whim. Life is too short not to enjoy it and have fun! Laughter is essential and important part of who I am. My father is silly and I grew up with that fun silliness and music filled environment. With that being said, have a huge love for me is music and dancing. Singing has always been a big part of my family. I can sing well and enjoy it.
