68, Clifton, VAI like to be on the move and am always ready to say "Yes, let's do something!" My two sons are grown and very independent and I am so proud of them. I love to play golf, travel, visit National Parks, go to the beach or mountains or just sit back and relax. I retired five years ago and now have time to spend at my home in Manchester MA while continuing to live here in Virginia where I have lived since 1988. I grew up in New Hampshire, follow the Boston Red Sox and still have lots of family and friends in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
35, Alexandria, VAI hail from the sort-of-humble, forged-in-steel City of Champions (Pittsburgh, clearly!) and have found my current little niche in the D.C. area. Stupid puns make me giggle. I like most people, swimming, biking, hiking, dancing, and the like. Once in a while I like to do races - running, swimming and triathlons, but only learned to swim in the past four years - and now I can't get enough! A desire for volunteering has landed me in Peru twice and also around here doing various things. I'm also interested in learning more Spanish. And Arabic. I tend to think a lot. I don't often like to sit around doing nothing - I prefer getting out, traveling, "new adventures" and so forth, but can also sit quietly on a Friday evening with a good book and a glass of wine (or beer) now and then. I like to work on cars, but have a lot to learn and usually have a friend or two in tow because they know way more than I do. The temperament test thing seems to contain some strains of truth - I've been described as intense, sarcastic and opinionated. Personally, I don't think this is a bad thing. ;-) I am a cradle Catholic, never really strayed too far, but to say my faith is my rock would be an understatement (despite occasional evidence insinuating the contrary...)! Lately I have totally fallen in love with the Eastern Liturgy, so bonus if you are into that or open to exploring that as well. Anyhoo, drop me a line!
61, McLean, VAI enjoy the company of others and like to attend many of the cultural happenings in the area, the museums and the lectures available around town etc! My hobbies are centered around art, being healthy and having fun. I enjoy traveling and would like to see more of America and Europe. I am happy, kind, intelligent, social, stable and sometimes spontaneous:) Being on my own for the last few years has given me the time to reflect on life and where the path will lead. "The only time to look back is to see how far I've come" makes me feel good about my future. What's missing? Sharing life. Looking for a one woman man who is honest and can communicate.
28, Alexandria, VAHappy Easter! (And go Caps!!!) I'm an environmentally conscious teacher who loves the Nats, a good comedy, and anything with peanut butter and chocolate (preferably together!). If we were to bump into each other in real life, it would most likely be at a baseball game, on a river/lake/ocean or a hiking trail, or in a library.
36, Richmond, VAHello, and thank you for viewing my profile... I'm somewhat of a shy person, but warm up quickly and am affectionate with the people I'm close to. I consider myself a romantic...am generally laid back, joke often and tend to look on the bright side of life. I have a soft spot in my heart for Little Ones and animals of all kinds. God, my Faith, Family and Friends are most important in my life, and I hope to share them with someone special. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading and learning (try to read the Bible daily), bold coffee, watching movies, drawing and art related projects, wandering through museums, golfing, bowling, playing music (bass guitar), exercising (although I'm just now slowly getting back into it), and sipping on a nice glass of dry red wine or indulging in the occasional, but not often cigar or pipe with friends, etc... Would really like to take up snowboarding during the snowy wintry months... Lastly, I put 7 out of 7 because the Church teaches Truth - however, that doesn't mean I don't struggle with the want of intimacy. I've failed in this area before. I'm hoping that my partner and I can help each other stay strong, because I know that realistically it's tough in this area.

41, Waynesboro, VAWhat does a 40 year old man hope to find on a site like this? I signed up for this after seeing an ad on the back sponsorship page of the Church bulletin. I still hold hope that God has a plan and a partner to make me a better person. In return I offer my moral compass to a woman who also requires guidance. I live a life on the road. You would think a man living the life of a "gypsy" would have abundant opportunities to meet women wouldn't you? Not so when you are a devout Catholic workaholic. Really, are you then able and capable of having a relationship with a woman if you are traveling all the time? Women always say they like to travel do they not? Yes, that is true.
23, South Riding, VAI loving getting outside for hiking, skiing, exploring museums and historic sites. I've always enjoyed reading history, sci-fi and fantasy. I'm currently preparing to finish degree at George Mason University as a Criminology student as well as preparing for Officers Candidate School with the Navy.
