63, Orange, VAEven my male co-workers say I'm the nicest guy you'll ever meet. I'm easy-going, honest and very romantic. If you're searching for a guy who's "emotionally available," empathetic and an excellent listener, you've found him. I'm also a traditional, conservative Republican who believes in weekly Mass attendance, personal responsibility and love of country, and I'm looking for the same. The strongest relationships are bound together by shared core values. As such, I would not be a good match for liberals, non-conformists, moderates or middle-of-the-roaders. To put it more succinctly, I would definitely not be a match for supporters of Obama or the Clintons. Contemporary culture holds no interest for me. I do not watch television and rarely attend new movies. For the most part, the moral viewpoint put forth in these venues is completely at odds with what I believe in. Faith in God is the bedrock of my life and fitness and good health are at the top of my list. I'm a long distance runner who's finished 26 marathons in Florida, California, Hawaii, Arizona, Ohio, Texas, Washington, Colorado, Louisiana, Georgia , D.C., Venice, Madrid, Lisbon, Liverpool, Paris, Rome and Athens since 2003. Currently, I'm in training for the Paris Marathon in April 2017. When I'm not pounding the pavement, I work out daily on my Bowflex. Family is a key part of my life. I've always had a great relationship with my mom and sis, and the natural by-product of that is the fact that I genuinely admire and respect all women. I'm the kind who sends flowers for no reason, holds doors and chairs for ladies and calls my special girl in the middle of the day, just to tell her that I love her. Financially, I remain solvent by living within my means. I carry no debt, aside from my home mortgage. Educationally, I hold a Ph.D., three MAs and am Phi Beta Kappa, although I think I've learned a lot more from the School of Life. Formerly, I taught college film courses. I've spent the past twenty-two years with the Library of Congress restoring movies from Hollywood's Golden Age. It's the work I was born to do and I'm very happy and grateful that I'm there.
44, Richmond, VAFun! Fun! Fun! to be around, kind, and adventurous. I love people, loooove to cook and entertain, travel, and meet new people. I am very family oriented and come from a close-knit family. My passion though are my mini road trips. l just love to get into the car and drive. I usually let the scenery of the place determine where I'll stop. The most influential person in my life is my beloved dad, second to him is my brother who is responsible for my faith growth by being an example of what a Christian should be like. My faith is very very important to me and I'll like a man who feels the same. My passion is helping the homeless. And one day I'll love to run a home for pregnant teenagers/women who are in dire need and have no where to go but want to keep their babies. God Bless! and good luck to all of us!
35, Alexandria, VADC native and genetics enthusiast looking to meet someone who enjoys music, movies, soccer, DC area sports teams, biking, beaches and small dogs. Preferably someone knowledgeable in soccer and who doesn't mind falling asleep on the couch with me during a slow game.
66, Arlington, VAI am a well-spoken, soft-spoken, open-spoken woman. I like deep conversation, excellent books, interesting friends, and daily exercise. Baseball games are always a good time. Amusement parks fall into that category, too. I love museums, especially art museums. And road trips when I'm not driving. Dancing is a happy passion. I don't have any children of my own, but I'd love to meet yours. I like my pool, the beach, and the sun, but I've found the shade is a much better friend. Bridge is challenging me at the moment, but I plan to become a master in a few decades or so. Dance. I can't say enough good things about dance. Dancing makes me feel like my soul is set free. I'm lucky enough to dance three to four times a week, and attend a dance camp each summer. That doesn't mean I'm great at it or that I compete. I just love to do it. I really enjoy hearing stories, whether it's books, TV, movies, plays or just straight from peoples' mouths. Christmas is my favorite holiday, For me it's almost two months long and pure joy.

49, Bristow, VAI grew up in the Northern Virginia area. I was pretty active, and have enjoyed the many experiences of my life that have helped form me into the person that I am. My faith is central to my life and I look forward to sharing and growing in the faith with a friend and potential or future partner as we continue to strive to be the people God created us to be. I am not sure this is best way to meet people, as nothing compares to being with someone in person and getting to know the dynamics between you. So rather than tell you all about me here, I will leave room for first meeting conversation. I will say that I tend to be on the shy side so bear with me if I get quiet or nervous. I am told I have a gentle spirit. You can let me know if you agree :) I don't come on here every day or do a lot of searching so if you have any interest in seeing if there is a potential to meet, please send me a message and make the first contact.
60, Spotsylvania, VAI was born and raised in a traditional Catholic family in Pittsburgh. I now live in Virginia, but go back to visit my family every chance I get. I am still in Virginia because my two grown sons and my grandchildren are here. I truly enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and watching how amazing they are. I love the outdoors, and like to hike or just go for a long walk. My quiet time is spent reading, praying and just being thankful for all of my blessings. I am partially self employed, so I do spend a lot of work time on the computer. I am somewhat of a dreamer, and am consistently motivated by possibilities. I feel that God guides me in life, and everything I desire to achieve, can be done through faith.
38, McLean, VAPlan to expound more later, but for starters... Catholic all the way; I teach middle school and I am in my 17th year of doing so. I currently teach religion, math, and literature. I travel, mostly domestic travel these days, but I would go to Europe in a heartbeat; family relationships are paramount. I have 13 beautiful nieces and nephews who all have a particular place in my heart. I am the youngest of four--well six really, Mom lost two babies. My dear Mumma was taken back to the Good Lord just over five years ago. She was my first and best friend. I still miss her very much. I now understand what those who have lost a loved one say- "you never stop missing them, but you learn to live in the new normal that is life without them here on this earth." I also take joy in the hope that she is Home with her Jesus, and in the thought of one day being there with them! I love my family and though we are scattered all about the country, we are just a prayer, a phone call, and a Facebook chat away.
27, King George, VAI'm a nerd. I'm awkward. I tend to be shy. I get embarrassed easily, especially around guys that I like. I'm a klutz. I'm definitely not perfect, but who is? :) I was married for a few years, I have full physical custody of our three kids. They were born in 2012 (boy), 2014 (girl), and 2015 (girl). I'll never talk badly about my ex because that's just not who I am, but I've definitely learned a lot about who I am as a person and what kind of person I'm looking for as a result of my marriage not working out. I have a home business that takes up a lot of my time. I started it 4 years ago when my oldest was a baby, just as a hobby. It has grown to be almost a full time job. I'm not an "expensive flowers and jewelry" kinda girl. If you want to spoil me, I'd much rather enjoy movie tickets or a new DVD, or a big bag of KitKats or Twix, or even a bunch of fruit :) Seriously, just pick out some grapes, apples, and mangoes... better than any flowers or jewelry :) I'm not super girly in general anyway... I wear makeup twice a year for Christmas Mass and Thanksgiving, sometimes for a few special events. I don't wear dresses often; I prefer skirts, jeans, or workout leggings. I don't wear earrings, but I do have two tattoos and would like at least one more. I play with hair color every season. Nothing crazy like pink or blue (yet), but I do like doing burgundy or dark red in the Fall/Winter, and lighter brown in the Spring/Summer. I've lived in Virginia most of my life. I'd probably be happy living just about anywhere though... except maybe Florida or Kansas. I don't think I could deal with frequent hurricanes or tornadoes :) I used to take Swing and Ballroom dance lessons in high school. I love the old fashioned dancing especially: Charleston, Jive, Quickstep, Swing. I may or may not watch Dancing With The Stars every season just for those dances :) Fair warning ;)
25, Ashburn, VAMy name is Miguel. My faith is incredibly important to me, though I can admit I struggle with it at times. The important thing is to get back up and keep going. I've been a musician since I was four and music influences every part of my life, from the moment I wake up until my head hits the pillow again. I'm quite outgoing and I love being around people. English is my second language, Sarcasm is my first and most fluent. I'm a die-hard Redskins fan, and a big D.C. sports fan in general. In my free time I prefer being outside, going on road trips, and discovering new things.
32, Cali, COHello! Blessings! Honestly, this feels kind of weird but I'll do my best to describe myself and let you have an idea of what this daughter of God is like :) I've been blessed with the opportunity of living two extreme phases in life: 1. the rebellious late teen/early 20's and 2. Religious life. Yes, I was a nun for 3 years (I reached novitiate) and returned to lay life three years ago. It was a beautiful, awesome, (obviously) life-changing experience! I know now that God has a purpose in everything He allows us to live (even though sometimes what we decide to live is not really what He wants for us, He always has a card up His sleeve), I would have never considered myself to be a good Wife and Mother if it hadn't been for religious life. Now I have a completely different perspective of life, and feel so blessed and indulged, capable of so much love because I am infinitely loved by Love Himself (1 John 4:8). I love music, movies, nature, walking, singing, talking, hugging, traveling, chocolate, dogs (especially German Shepherds and other big dogs)... I love to sing, especially for Him, it's one of the many things that brings joy to my life.
53, Centreville, VAI am a positive, open-hearted person with a sense of humor. In my free time, my preference is to spend time outdoors. I do a lot of hiking, but also make occasional efforts to go whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, etc. I've lived overseas, so I do enjoy traveling and exploring new places. But I also enjoy relaxing vacations at the beach and just spending "down" time with my two kids (one in college, one in high school). I consider myself to be fairly social and have a circle of wonderful friends in my life. I like going out to dinner, for drinks, to the movies, concerts, etc.
