67, Clifton, VAI like to be on the move and am always ready to say "Yes, let's do something!" My two sons are grown and very independent and I am so proud of them. I love to play golf, travel, visit National Parks, go to the beach or mountains or just sit back and relax. I retired three years ago and now have time to spend at my home in Manchester MA while continuing to live here in Virginia where I have lived since 1988. I grew up in New England, follow the Boston Red Sox and still have lots of family and friends in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
60, Lorton, VAI am a regular guy who likes to go out and have fun. I like to stay in shape, go to good restaurants, stay active and work hard. I come from a big family (5 boys and 2 girls) and have a bunch of nephews and nieces. I play volleyball, snow ski, work out, bowl and golf. 65, Vienna, VAI believe that a person's wealth should be measured by the quality of his or her friends, and from that perspective, I feel wealthy indeed. My recent conversion is most important to me, and I have joined this site because I would like to be close with someone who shares my faith and my values . . . and my sense of humor, because that is definitely a key part of my personality. My character has been shaped by events that have challenged me both academically and physically. As a result, I have become a solid citizen, with a strong sense of right and wrong. And a sense of humor (think Gary Cooper in High Noon . . . but with wisecracks). Given a choice between Most Likely to Succeed and Wittiest I would (and did) choose the latter. There is an excerpt of a poem that I think describes me: "All that is gold does not glitter,/Not all those who wander are lost;/The old that is strong does not wither, /Deep roots are not reached by the frost." Not that I am old or anything . . . . . . . . .

I like to attend art and craft shows and bluegrass festivals. I like to travel, near and far. I can be strong willed but able to listen to reason. I am a careing person that will go the extra mile to make sure those around me are taken care of. Looking for a friend to share dinners, theatre, movies, walks on the beach, maybe even travel with right person. I say friend because I believe any relationship has to start as a friendship.

60, Spotsylvania, VAI was born and raised in a traditional Catholic family in Pittsburgh. I now live in Virginia, but go back to visit my family every chance I get. 62, Fairfax, VAThe most important thing to me (under my relationship with God) is my family and friends. I am a people person. That being said, I also know that "down time" is necessary. I love to entertain; either having friends over for a casual dinner, a nice Sunday dinner, or just a happy hour type gathering. I love to fill my house and heart with life. I will eagerly bring food to people if they cannot come to me. Sharing food and drink; breaking bread together brings people together and forms friendships. I love good food, good wine, good drink and all the conversation that flows out of that. I would love to share this passion with someone. I have no children and am well beyond that phase of life. But I have nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends who have children with whom I am close as well as with their children. I belong to an international ecumenical, charismatic Christian community comprised mostly of the laity although we do have some vowed religious members.
82, Richmond, VAI look forward to meeting a caring and considerate man near my age for companionship, traveling, and hopefully a cribbage partner! Healthy cooking, photography, reading, enjoying the beauty of nature, and sharing family experiences are my most important passions. I am a tactile person and enjoy touching, hugs and intimacy. My loving parents, family, relatives, and close friends have allowed me to become a cheerful, positive person. My extensive travel both as a military dependent, later for vacations, and living among different cultures have taught me to be understanding and tolerant of different people. I am open to enjoying many opportunities for leisure time; whatever my partner and I agree upon.
73, Portsmouth, VAI am a retired naval officer, widower, and I live on my boat in Portsmouth, Va. by choice. Sold the big house.
