Well traveled, active mom of two equally well traveled boys, two middle school aged boys. I've enjoyed being a mother and working woman. I studied finance, minored in economics...I stay current in the field with graduate classes in taxation, Facebook messages from industry posts. I love the efficiency of social networking, keeping in touch with old and new friends, working, etc. It's even more fun to run into those old or new friends you "message" on social networking sites. I have been an active partipant in the March of Dimes Walks (team captain one year). Love the idea of healthy starts for moms and their "to be born" babies...having dads involved from the very beginning. I grew up in a two parent household with two brothers. We enjoyed family activities and growing up in a nice neighborhood. I still have a big problem with what society is trying to push as the "new normal" for what a family should be (ie...I only advocate women&men marrying). I was active in band, student government and some travel while in junior high and high school. I did not "run with the crowd" or rebel against my parent's wishes. Senior year was filled with confirmation, prom/graduation, working and going to college August of that year. College was a growth period for me both socially and academically. I have always looked younger than my age which has its pros and cons. I took challenging subjects...enjoyed 8:00am classes and still had fun at "Happy Hour" with time spent afterward going to aerobics classes with my roommates..many of them I still keep in touch with after many years. I enjoy my nieces and brothers and their wives when we get together for holidays (Christmas, Easter, 4th of July). I have a large extended family (my brothers and I are 3 of 81 grandchildren on my father's side; 3 of 11 from my mom's side). Family life and celelbrating life have become increasingly important to me. I hope to find a "match" who feels this sense of importance too.

I'm a web designer living and working in Virginia Beach. I grew up and went to college in Norfolk. I guess you could call me the stereotypical nice guy. I'm a good Catholic boy, but you definitely won't find a halo on me. I'm generally pretty mellow, but I'll let my wild side come out when given the proper incentive. I have to admit that it wouldn't be a stretch to call me a geek or a nerd. But those words apply to me in only their most positive connotations. I’m an intellectual kind of guy who likes sci-fi, comic books, and anime. So that means that I’m curious about the universe, appreciate good storytelling, and have an affinity for art and design. In the past few years, I’ve become more active in the community. Working with like-minded individuals to promote cultural awareness, facilitate personal and professional development, and to foster greater community outreach and activism is very rewarding. I haven’t focused much on my hobbies lately, but I do want to get back into drawing and painting. I have all the supplies bought and ready. Now I just need to remove the plastic wrap. It could be that I’m just in need of some inspiration. I'm looking for a nice girl who's not afraid to let loose every once in a while. She has got to have respect for herself and respect for those around her. And if she’s not afraid to wield a lightsaber, is handy with a phaser, is willing to take a few trips through the Gate, or can tell me why it was so messed up that Angel and Cordelia never got together, that’s a definite plus.

I am a low maintenance woman, who is very independent. Loves Christ and his Church and wants to help form Catholic disciples. Loves sarcastic, with dry humor and the weirder the youtube video the funnier it is. I have been heavily influenced by the Catholic Charismatic renewal and am active in that movement. If you enjoy playing board games and debates about religion, and philosophy, we will get along great.

I consider myself a pretty simple person. When it comes to dress I prefer to dress comfortably, but on special occasions I know how to impress. I don't need to be rich, but I will give all I have within me to strive to provide the best for my family. I'm old fashioned when it comes to the woman I'm with..I say woman not women because I'm a one woman guy!! I'm a God fearing faith is a huge part of my life. I don't let things get the best of me, I just go with the flow. I'm a very loyal person. My friends and family mean everything to me, and I wouldn't be who I am today without them. I'm shy at first, but once I get comfortable I'm fun to be around (I'm kind of a goof ball, but can be serious when need be). I'm really into fitness. I love doing cross-fit, even though it kicks my butt sometimes...ok most of the!!

I'm an adventurer and a problem solver who loves a challenge. I'm very active and enjoy flying planes, driving my old truck, sailing, and working on my projects. I currently serve in the U.S. Coast Guard. Friends say I'm an old soul, pretty square and crack a few to many corny jokes. I'm not a big party animal but I very much enjoy spending time with friends.

I enjoy learning new things and those moments when you feel like God is listening. I look forward to talking to people, and learning about their perspectives on life, and finding similarities. I have a motorcycle and ride when I can, which is fairly infrequent. Don't judge! ;)

Honestly, looking for someone who wouldn't mind traveling, going to sports events, and/or video/comic cons and who'll help me stay in shape as I do vice versa. Oh, and food is awesome, and even though my job takes me away from Texas, I try and go back every time I can.

Profile picture?!?! Uff. I look like a dork in pictures. So I'll go ahead and post the one where I'm at an 80s music concert dressed like a "Material Girl". I'm a single mom to two hilarious little kids. I'm a beach bum, love to go out to restaurants and be social when it suits me. Other times I'm a bit of a homebody. I've got a few quirks- but as far as I'm concerned, they're all pretty hilarious. I'm crafty and artistic and a passionate seamstress. (Don't talk when the sewing machine is running). I'm close to my family and look forward to the time that I spend with them. I need sunshine and quiet to recharge. Having been in the restaurant biz for over twenty years I love a good meal and pretty much any beer you put in front of me. Backyard BBQs, swimming and good music make me happy:). When I love, I love big. I come from a long line of Irishmen with twisted senses of humor. Not everyone gets it. I'm a list maker and an analyzer (to a fault). I'm totally fine with the simple things in life. Put the music on- pour me a beverage and I'm happy just existing.
