29, Arlington, VAI love to laugh. I don't think I ever let a day go by without laughing and I try to infuse humor into almost every situation. The best and corniest joke I've heard recently: "What was the first expletive Moses said when he came down Mt. Sinai with the Ten Commandments?"..."Holy Cow!" My passion is teaching theology. I love love love discussing theology with my students, colleagues, friends and if I'm feeling especially extroverted, even strangers. Although, I am pretty shy in person, I'm an easy nut to crack and once I feel comfortable I open up quickly. I tend toward being very observant, not Sherlock Holmes but ask me what I see and hear. You'd be surprised what I notice. My students are constantly amazed by my powers of hearing when they're whispering things to comrades. I devour books and movies pretty voraciously and when I go to the movie theater I have to be there for the previews. Its part of the experience (and one of the things that I bonded with my brother over). There's just something about walking into that theater and watching the lights go down...I'm a sucker for suspense, thrillers and mysteries. Right now, Greg Iles and Gillian Flynn are my go to authors. I also have the most adorable dog, Shorty. A friend recently described him as a dog with the "nose of a pig and the hide of a cow." I think she meant it as a compliment. For most of the year, I'm able to bike with Shorty on a stretch of the W&OD trail near my apartment. Hanging out with friends generally includes food (home-cooked meal or dining out), swing dancing at Glen Echo Park, Adoration at one of DC's many parishes and taking advantage of some of the great opportunities that DC provides. The activity is always secondary to the company. Sometimes, the most pleasurable experience is just to sit next to someone in the silence and take in the beauty around or get lost in a book.

23, Charlottesville, VAAfter 22 years, I still don't know enough about myself to know where to start! I just don't like talking about myself. I'd rather learn about others! But I do know and am proud of the fact that I am unashamedly kind, loving, respectful, creative, conservative, and Catholic! Self-employed economic researcher and published fantasy author who in enamored with history, philosophy, art, literature, music, and food! My leisure time usually involves reading a good book, playing the piano, or having lunch with some friends when we can get together! Looking for someone Catholic who is willing to share the good and bad and enjoy life as a whole. I'm part Spanish, Italian, and Cuban so food, wine, and family are the pearl in life's little oyster. Huge fan of classical music, film music, reading good books, swimming, playing tennis, and hammering out on the piano! I would love to call myself an "amateur" composer but I'm afraid I'm not even good enough to qualify as that. Nevertheless, I still love to write music! O and I also make killer homemade ice cream... just a passing thought... Otherwise, life is just an experience you're willing to live! Would love to hear from you!
24, Arlington, VAI am the youngest of three brothers. I am close with my family and always trying to make time to see them. On my days off I like to go for a long run or long bike ride, enjoying the nice weather, or if I am up early enough wash my car. I like to stay up to date on current events, especially on world events, so if your up for a friendly debate that would be cool. I enjoy traveling to other countries, I went to Europe for the first time this past summer and now planning for Asia next summer. Also back in school for my masters. I have always been catholic but it wasn't until recently years that I really started to try to be a practicing catholic and incorporating it into my daily life.
28, Newport News, VAHi, my name is Nathaniel. The section about carriers on these sites is always hard to fill in. I am a Metrology Technician. That's why it says, "Other." I am the oldest of six. I grew up in Gloucester. I am a closet nerd. I like movies, most of the music that exists, and I love food. I mean I can cook pretty awesomely.
34, Virginia Beach, VAI am originally from suburban Atlanta and relocated to this area about 3.5 years ago for a job. I have spent much of the past 10 years living and traveling abroad and focused on school and career. I enjoy exercise and being active. My mom and family in general have been influential. My time in the Peace Corps in East Africa changed how I view the world.
25, Fredericksburg, VAI currently work on the southside of Richmond. My hobbies include reading primarily about the history of Western civilization and politics. My current occupation keeps me in school part time at least for now.
24, Alexandria, VAI am mostly passionate about singing! Singing anything! My mother and father have very fond memories of me singing quietly to sleep as a little child. I was singing before I was talking. I always look forward to opportunities to sing more. One of the strongest influences in my life has been one of my closest friends. He was the first example of a man, besides my father, who put himself out there for people. He inspired me to more vulnerable. I also cannot leave out the profound influence my mother had on me. Throughout my whole upbringing she pushed me to do things I was not comfortable with, and she also helped me find out what I was good at and what I wanted to do, which was to pursue a career in music. In my leisure time I like to laugh, improvise on the piano, take a walk outside, and make small talk with my roommates that turns into big talk. I also occasionally like to take less traveled routes home when I'm driving. The same way all the time bores me. And last, but definitely not least, I love to sing in my leisure time!
33, Hampton, VAI am a mom to a wonderful four year old little boy in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I attend the same church that I have been part of since I was baptized there as a baby, and I was married there to my first husband. He lost his battle with cancer earlier this year and we celebrated his funeral Mass at that same church as well. My faith is a very important part to my life, and something that guides many of my decisions. I am an active person, having lost 150 pounds on my own from my heaviest weight (back at the end of my college days). I participate in a cross-fit style gym program that has helped me achieve many fitness goals. I love going to the gym and getting my sweat on with my friends at 5am every weekday. I also recently joined an adult kickball league and play once a week. I love kickball and am so glad I got involved with team sports again. I enjoy an active lifestyle and engaging in new adventures (like the Adventure Park in Virginia Beach or Busch Gardens in Williamsburg). I am a teacher at a small, local, private school. I love what I do (teaching both computers and PE for 1st through 8th grade). I have been working there for 4 years, after having worked at a local public school for six years as a general education teacher. I am working on earning my second master's degree (this one is in psychology) in hopes to eventually teach psychology at the local community college.
