Well what am I passionate about? My family, the Catholic church, the environment, people being treated fairly and with compassion.I look forward to a happy and continuously learning retirement.I am currently involved in activities at St. John the Baptist Church that go a long way in the learning part of retirement, especially in regards to scripture and also with my Just Faith group.I have a son and daughter and between them there are 7 grandchildren from ages 13 to 25. As far as for people that have influenced me. I guess I can start with my parents, later in life Father Chuck at St. Barbara parish and many others throughout my life both good and bad. As to what I like to do in my leisure time I'm open to just about anything, I like road trips, physical activity, going to concerts, learning new things. So there you have it, some cliff notes.

I am a happy, practicing believer! 8-) Living in the moment while staying true to my commitments is important to me. I enjoy the symphony and performance theater of all genres, as well as live sporting events. I also like to play cards and board games, to construct puzzles and to get creative in the kitchen. I've completed a marathon and a sprint triathlon. Staying active is important to me, yet I'm not a fitness freak. My grandmother lived to 101 with the principle of maintaining balance, so I'm going with that. I enjoy a good hike on a wilderness trail, and I like to fish.

I'm pretty intellectual, and a bit on the serious side. I read daily, exercise hard, love to play Scrabble, spend time with my children, and I love working in the yard landscaping and gardening. I'm very family minded, and would love to meet someone with the same values towards raising Godly children, which is the biggest priority in my life right now. My life centers around my faith and my family, and if there is any other "sub-center" in my life, it would be music. You don't have to be a musician, but classical music appreciation is a positive, since I not only play and teach classical violin, but all of my children play piano or violin as well--except my youngest, and he mostly plays Legos. I love good books, enjoy good conversation, and am known for having a large vocabulary, which is probably why you will never beat me at Scrabble. As a professional, I am a teacher in a very unique kind of K-12 school. If you know anything about special ed., my school serves on the third tier of RTI. Essentially that means all teaching is done in a one-on-one setting for all of our students. Most of my students are on the autism spectrum, while others are things like selectively mute, ADHD, emotional behavior disorder, or any combination thereof. I have a very unique job, but it is truly a vocation, and a perfect fit for me on many levels. I was fortunate enough to combine my background in the arts (I have a BFA in illustration) with my passion for special education (that is my second degree, along with a teaching certificate), to be able to tap both of those interests. My office is the entire art studio, and I spend my day teaching one student at time, along with a few two and three student group classes. After hours, I also teach private violin lessons, and although that makes for a lot of work hours, I just can't give up my music students that I have been teaching for several years now. I continue to be a student as well (as all good teachers do) taking advanced violin lessons, and playing in a small chamber music group that meets weekly.

I like to dance, read mysteries, fly kites, and play cards or board games and travel. Cooking is always fun whether it's trying something gourmet or grilling on the barbeque. I enjoy the theater and listening to a variety of music including jazz, classical and oldies. I have an eight year old black & white parti standard poodle who keeps me busy. I like riding bikes in the summer. Spending time with family and friends are at the top of my list. I am a self-starter who enjoys meeting new people. I am adventurous and welcome the quest for new experiences. Workers and friends say I am creative, thoughtful and a great mentor to others. My background is in health risk management and financial services. I am a romantic who enjoys life and the constant learning experiences it offers. I am looking for a financially responsible individual who is a professional in their field, has a college education and is a non-smoker. I would enjoy being with someone who is adventurous, intellectual, fun and most of all honest and trustworthy. Sports are not a favorite pastime of mine but I enjoy the occasional UW Husky events or Seahawk game. I am looking for someone who is interested in a long-term relationship that might eventually lead to marriage.

I'm grateful I have a wonderful family and close, life-long friends. Like most, work occupies a good portion of my life, though I am fortunate I enjoy what I do and that I work with some fantastic people. With studies mostly behind me (I am completing professional studies), I have enjoyed more travel, recreation and all the other fun aspects in life. I am looking to share those experiences because I think almost everything is best shared. I enjoy a wide variety of music (about the only genre I have difficulty listening to is extreme heavy metal). I don't watch a lot of TV, but when I do it is typically comedies, cartoons etc; as a friend of mine put it, "wind-down junk"! I try to visit local theatre, and movies that I watch tend to be pretty varied (e.g. comedies, classics, thrillers, dramas, action). I enjoy sport and wish I could participate at the level/grade that I spectate! I'm mostly involved in jogging, swimming and social sports (from time to time). On occasion I ride my bike to work and have enjoyed a few snowboarding trips with friends. I enjoy watching football, ice hockey, baseball, basketball and cricket. My other interests include things I can do with my hands and problem solving (repairing things, cooking, volunteer work, woodworking, cars/auto), being outdoors/beach, art, and travel. I'm looking for a woman with an enquiring mind, a sense of humour, common sense, a good eye for the nicer things in life (enjoys good food, wine etc.), appreciates keeping in good health (but equally likes the precious time spent relaxing!) and who tries to give their best efforts in what they do (work, study, sport, hobbies, etc.), and most of all, patient, because I'm far from perfect!

I am a very romantic man, love to listen music, read very good books, and my passion is photography. I love to have my home in good shape. I am looking for a very nice woman that would like to share time together to know each other well and have a good friendship. Later, I would like to have a formal relationship with this woman and then marry to her and have a very nice family based on our faith, values and love. The must influential people in life are my parents and my uncles. All of them have put their love for God first and I am doing the same.

I am a fan of the Seattle Sounders, as a single mother I like to do many things with my son and my father. I am a proud Mexican woman. Preferred Spanish language.!!

I am a brand-spankin'-new Catholic; I was just baptized this Easter vigil and just wrapped up RCIA. This is been a humbling and exciting beginning to a new chapter in my life, one that I'd be happy to tell you more about. Suffice it to say I grew up Mormon and eventually found my way to the Catholic faith. If I could choose three characteristics that would sum me up in a nutshell, in order of priority they would be 1) a dedicated and loving dad, 2) a hardworking business owner, and 3) always laughing. I got into the habit of working out 10 years ago and I love anything that is athletic, outdoorsy (I'm always interested in a good hike), or challenging. I also love to cook very yummy food and engage in conversation whenever possible. I'm more of the kind of person who finds joy in, and values, my relationships and fond memories (as opposed to accumulating possessions or competing with the Jones'). I cannot survive a day without laughter; It's a great abdominal workout and plus it just feels so good. You bet I'm going to practice making people around me laugh just as much as I practice my vocation. I own a fitness training facility where I work with a lot of people who have special medical needs as well as more general and athletic populations. My highest calling, though, is the role of dad to my two adorable daughters. I love them dearly and unconditionally, plus they crack me up. I would love to hear from you! Have a fantastic day!
